Fantastic experience all around with Dr. G.! Had 15 visits/adjustments as well as some muscle testing and the like before adjustment #1 as well as after the last 15th adjustment. Not only is Dr. G. very gifted, politic and extremely considerate to your hard tissue concerns, the additional office staff they have there are superb with ongoing and quick communication. Very strong clientele tells you this has been a successful practice for years I would imagine. Evidence of that is how well Dr. G knows his patients judging by the deeper conversations he has with them. I was in a car crash right near his office, and experienced some immediate pain in different areas of the skull. My c1 to c3 was tighter after being rear-ended as well, etc. No more shooting head pain which did require about 9 sessions. Much better range of motion of the neck started after the first adjustment. I've been searching for a chiropractor for about a year now , I've been recommended to this place by a good friend . I called to schedule an appointment and waited about a month and a half. I was asked if I wanted to be placed on the cancellation list in case they had someone cancel , I said yes . They ended up calling me a week before my scheduled appointment and said they had a cancellation, I called back and they said spot was filled. They reminded me of my following up appointment ( which was switched times) the receptionist said she would note it . The day of my appointment I received a called stating I missed my appointment, I called several times & no answer. I called in the afternoon& the receptionist stated they had filled my spot which was promised to be noted by the other lady I spoke to . I was asked if I wanted to re-schedule to another day . I said no , it is extremely disappointing when I was patiently waiting for my appointment ( again for a month and a half ) to be told I couldn't get seen. Very disappointed! read more

There is no waiting because if the doctor is treating another patient, he has multiple machines you can use to stretch or achieve balance. The pain from a muscle strain was excruciating. I had to roll on my side to get out of bed. Due to the pain, I was not able to be adjusted. Dr. Garfield recommended laser therapy. After the first treatment I notice improvement within 24 hours.after only 3 treatments I was back to moving around normally. My husband and I have been going to see Dr. John for about three years. I do believe that he is the best chiropractor I have ever been to - and I have seen several. He is always upbeat and friendly. I have a lot of low back pain/problems and he always takes care of it. His office personnel is great and can usually work us in when ever we can make it. We live in the country an hour and a half away so sometimes we just do a walkin an he has always accommodated us. We don't have insurance but the price is reasonable. I couldn't say enough good things about John Garfield and his staff. I was in tears daily from extreme pain due to scoliosis and other issues. Every part of my back hurt and it was affecting my quality of life. This office is amazing. The Dr is incredibly nice and makes you feel like part of the family. They have state of the art equipment and actually listen to your concerns, as opposed to saying they know best. The reason I gave this post a 3, however, is because the front desk associate is one of the rudest people I've ever met. I've been going here for several months now, and she's never once been polite for my entire visit. She has brief moments where she might be polite, and then it's right back to being rude and snarky. The sad part is that you actually deal with her most of the time because not only does she run the front desk, she's also the Dr's assistant and deals with you a significant portion of your visit. If you are looking for a good chiropractor, go here, but be warned that the majority of your visit is probably going to be unpleasant due to the front desk associate. read more
