Update: I have been going for about a month and I have to say that the doctors are all really great (and I've been to all of them). They are really helping me with my neck issues. The admin staff still seem to not be on the ball as much as they could be (late to answer emails, plus previous post). However you go to a place like the joint for the doctors and they are great. Plus the price is reasonable and they really get you in and out. Today was my first visit to a chiropractor so I don't have anything to compare my experience to. My doctor was very nice and popped my back and neck. Time will tell if it helps. What I do have extensive experience with is customer service...hence the single star. I arrived with one person ahead of me. As I filled out my paperwork, 5 people arrived. I turned in my paperwork, and they called the guy who was ahead of me as expected. What was unexpected was that I had to wait for all 5 of the others who arrived after me before I was able to see my doctor. When there are 10 other 5 star chiropractors within a 10 mile radius, this is not how you keep customers. Fortunately for the Joint my doctor was nice and I don't know anything about chiropractic clinics. They have me for one month but if service continues this way I'll for sure be finding another "Joint" for my joints. read more

I came into today for the first time due to sudden numbness in one leg and my back. I'm a longtime police officer and can't be hampered by bad health. The receptionist was amazing and so friendly. She could tell I was in pain. Dr. Bryan Tilghman put me at ease and explained a lot to me. I haven't been to a chiropractor in over 10 years. I am literally writing this from the parking lot. I called early today asking when they stop taking patients and they told me that I have to be there BY 6. I walked in at 5:49 and she said that they can't take anymore patients because I wouldn't be done filling out the paperwork for my daughter by 6:00 on the dot. For one, my husband has a membership and it doesn't take over 10 minutes to fill out the new patient forms. Horrible customer service I will never ever come here again! In response to the reply; You guys don't close until 7. I came in over an hour before that and was turned away. So if it's does take 30 minutes, then why was I turned away? It's not like there was people waiting. I understand people want to go home but to not accept customers over an hour beforehand is crazy. Update your employees on customer service. read more

Here is my experience: the first Dr I saw (Dr Ellis) was really great. I needed help with my neck and shoulder and I was pretty happy with the 8 visit package I purchased. It went down hill from there. I went to 7 visits and saw 7 different Drs. I literally didn't have the same Dr twice. Most of them gave me a good adjustment even though they didn't seem to have a clue about my circumstances or my injury and I had to explain it over again each time. Dr Oz I would avoid, really just the worst adjustment I have ever had. Several times I went in and the wait was over 45 minutes, so I had to leave. I finally just gave up and handed in my fob and didn't even take my last visit. Do yourself a favor and pay for a real chiropractor. This was just the worst experience I would not recommend it for anyone. read more

Saw the ad on their site and someone had recommended. My wife's back/shoulder area was in serious pain so we figured we would check it out. Website says first visit is $29 but apparently you have to sign up online to get that discount. Got charged $40 for 20 minutes including the "consultation" and a quick back crack. After that they tried to pitch a monthly membership plan... for 4 visits like that each month?!? Sure, we'll get back to you! I met Dr. Steven Parsons through my wife dragging me into his practice kicking and screaming so to speak. I didn't need this kind of stuff I thought. This is just a gout flare up (that was going away). I'll just tough it out and take more ibuprofen. The problem was that my knees wouldn't quit swelling my ankle was in pain and I could barely move or walk. I couldn't bend my knees past a certain point. I am 49 not 79. So my wife set the appointment and said, Your going!" I am so glad she did ... now. I came in and was honestly very nervous. You fear what you don't know: Dr. Parsons immediately made me feel safe and at ease. He sat down and listened to my journey with a focused stare and note taking that I thought, "wow this guy is really listening to me." He answered my questions, talked me through why I was in the condition I was in, and alleviated my concerns. He put me on his magic "workbench." My one leg was over 1/2 inch off of the other leg. When he was done that day, I was standing straight up. My legs and neck were perfectly in line. How do you feel, he said. The only thing that came to my mind was, "I feel solid." I had no idea how off I was. He wanted me to come back for the next three weeks three times a week. I left with a blown mind thinking there was no way I could be feeling this amazing in this short of time. I went back every other day the first week then twice the second week. I was seeing massive improvements. The swelling was leaving and my range of motion was improving!! I can to the place where I noticed that my left foot kept swing out. I told him about it and he realigned the bone in my leg. Initially it was so painful, it about took my breath away. But, no pain no gain ... my foot has never swung like that again. I now go in once a week. I will always go as preventative maintenance. It really is unbelievable how out of wack the human body gets. I travel on planes regularly. I have noticed that my lower back is not in pain at all when I get where I am going and then when I get home. The great part of this practice is that if I need to come in (and I don't live close 30 minutes) and Dr Parsons is not there, I am in the amazing and high professional hands of Dr Davis. These guys are truly the dynamic duo! You need to come and check it out you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend this process for everyone and I even more highly recommend Dr. Parsons and Dr Davis! read more

On Monday I am having major cervical spine surgery. Up until my last visit at the joint I had no neck issues whatsoever. My adjustment was done incorrectly causing bruising to my neck and I was dizzy for months. I have been through physical therapy and several doctors since. I will have to now live with this forever. I 100% blame the chiropractor for my injury. Don't go here. Find an office that takes xrays and examines you first. A neck adjustment can cause permanent injuries. read more

Was having lunch nearby so I decided to stop in as my sciatica has been acting up quite a bit lately. As a new patient there are some forms to fill out so that took a few minutes. For me it was a little strange to go back and be in an open area with several adjustment benches, but I felt I did get a thorough initial assessment from Dr. Tankersley. Felt immediately better after the adjustment! Initial visit is only $29 bucks, but I went with the package as I really feel I need more regular adjustments. I've seen so many DCs over the years that I've lost count. But, I've been going to The Joint for about a year. I've seen many different docs at this location, all of them have been good, some have been excellent. By far, the guy who has helped me the most at this location is Dr. Davis. If he's there, I'll wait to see him. Dr Simpson is great, but, I think he's taken another role with company. Dr Tankersly and Dr Ellis have both helped me too. There have been some other fill-in docs over the last year that have been great as well. Aside from the super convenient hours of availability, I think the exposure to all of the different docs is great. Everyone's approach is slightly different - chances of finding a doc you like are pretty good if you see a few of them. I'd recommend the Joint to anyone who asks! read more

Went in on Saturday saw Dr. Davis who did a fantastic job with the initial evaluation and did a great adjustment to get back in line. Went back in Wednesday saw Dr. Kati Ozowski and everything was going good until she adjusted my neck in which my left side of my neck felt strained. Blown away at how unprofessional this has all been handled and the lack of concern The Joint has for their customers. I cancelled my membership after Dr Ellis insulted me so I have to think that's why they decided not to follow through with what they said they would. I will not be a customer again. Had a terrible experience with Jeremy Ellis and sent a review and was told i would be contacted "shortly". That was over 2 weeks ago. This is the worst chiropractic facility I've ever been to. They are rude, unprofessional and very disrespectful with your time. Being an athlete I've had to work with Chiro's my entire career. Their customer service and professionalism especially by the front desk gal is so bad that I am taking this to the Better Business Bureau. They have a complete lack of respect for your time. Not only is this location completely lacking professionalism they are also very much lacking knowledge of best practices for chiropractic care. Dr. Matt Simpson is a true professional and worth waiting for! The Joint offers a subscription service where one pays a fixed monthly fee to get four adjustments a month. Additional adjustments are for a very minimal extra fee. While the locations do not have any physical rehabilitation equipment other than adjustment tables, this is not what The Joint is about. If you need rehab, you (or your insurance company) will pay for it. For less than the cost of one adjustment at most of the typical chiropractic clinics, you get FOUR. Routine adjustments are recommended for everyone who spends a good portion of their work days sitting at a desk or standing on a sales floor. Of course, there are many others who do a combination of both or are busy with caring for an elder or a child. Hmmm.... It's starting to sound like everyone can benefit from regular adjustments! I personally am enjoying the results of the service at the Joint because my spine has certain issues that, without regular adjustments to relieve pressure (and pain), I would have been a candidate for surgery years ago. Matt Simpson takes time to care for each patient as an individual. Some places can make a patient feel like they're in an assembly line. Here, you might have a wait depending on the time of day but one you get to Dr. Simpson, you are cared for in a way that makes you feel important to him. While the wait can sometimes be 15 to 20 minutes, it's because there is a "no appointment" system in place. Some people may not like that but I usually call in to see how busy it is before I go. If I'm less than 10 minutes away, I let them know and they can place my name on the roster so by the time I arrive, I've worked my way up the list. The concept saves customers money because we don't get charged for missed appointments and they don't have to keep you waiting for a "no-show" when they could be taking care of your back. He takes detailed notes during and after each adjustment to ensure solid continuity of car. While wait times started to increase wIth the customer base growing, he arranged for additional experienced chiropractors to help handle busy days. They are open 7 days a week so sometimes substitutes are present so Dr. Simpson can have time off. I'm very happy with the service I get at this location. There is no guarantee that other locations are as good. I vacationed in California in 2013 and we visited The Joint in Sacramento. It was OK but I could tell staff training was lacking and the chiropractor there was a bit timid for my tastes. Dr. Matt Simpson knows what he's doing and if there is anything you think needs to be improved, he takes immediate action once you let him know. I highly recommend you try The Joint out at the Alliance Center location! read more

I was fresh off bad experiences with two other chiropractors and decided to give The Joint a shot. I'm beyond glad that I did. I signed up on their payment plan and went from paying $35 per visit at another chiropractor to $49 for 4 visits each month, but I would gladly pay more to see Dr. Simpson. He's so fun and personable, and he's always happy to see his patients when they come in. He genuinely cares, more so than any other doctor I've had. One day recently my mom and I had gone in for adjustments and afterward stood in the parking lot trying to decide where to go for dinner. Dr. Simpson saw us and thought maybe we were still in pain, so he came out to the parking lot to check on us and see if we needed extra adjusting. Amazing!
