The weekday chiropractor does a very good job with his chiropractic adjustments but the office staff is very unflexible. I have been a customer for several years and lately have been paying for my son's monthly membership for past 4 months, which is 4 visits per month he probably went 8x total. I went in to cancel since he wasn't using it, and the girl at front desk said you can cancel, but you still have a month that is paid for. I said fine and asked if I could get one adjustment as I was in need of an adjustment. She said NO, and that was that. Seems like she could have been more flexible as I am the one that has been paying for the last 4 months. Anyways, those are their rules, and I did sign their contract. I do feel she could have been a bit more customer oriented and offered me one adjustment. Due to that experience, I will take my business elsewhere in the future. read more

Was in need of some TLC for my back recently and heard about The Joint Chiropractic. It's a chain clinic, but has some great Drs working throughout their system. If you don't necessarily get warm fuzzies with the person you're seeing, no problem, switch it up. Or go to another location all together! On this particular visit, which was my first, I was greeted by the gal up front (apologies, but I think it was Jen). She went over the general info for the clinic and how they operate. Was very personable and patient and explained everything needed to make a decision to be seen. I was treated by Dr. Joe. Apparently he's new to the practice, but took great care of me. He informed me of what he was looking for during the exam as well as what he was going to be doing during the treatment. Greatly appreciate being kept on the loop as opposed to just "worked on". Beware of intentionally tricky billing tactics. I went one time over a year ago, which was a pretty weak visit, but that's not my main issue. My issue is that they have been billing me $90 a month ever since. I didn't notice so they got $1,200 out of me. The notice that they'd be billing me $90 /mo forever was buried in literally very tiny print buried in the 3rd paragraph of a 3 page doc, like a car rental doc you sign your initial in all these diff places. They know full well nobody reads all the fine print between the time they hand you a clip board and say 'just initial here, sign here, and inital here, etc. This is as close to an actual scam as you can find in mainstream retail. It's enough to make never go back of course but also to cause me to actively try and dissuade anybody else from dealing with people who intentionally hope they trick you into paying them for nothing. read more

Let me first start off by saying that I don't usually write reviews. But after this visit, I felt I had to. The staff at this location (Encinitas) appeared to be clueless. I'm a regular patient and the check in process was complicated with the receptionist on staff + I had to wait 10-15 min to be seen when I was literally the only patient in there. On top of that, the doctor who adjusted me refused to do a lower back adjustment that provides me relief & cracks very loud for me every time, because he said it didn't need to be. That's why I came in....I know my body, Doc! Haha Ridiculous to pay $39 for a 5 min interaction when all of that is considered. Highly suggest going to an alternative location. read more

Finally a business model that makes chiropractic affordable for just about everyone. It looks like the former CEO of Massage Envy applied the same pricing model to chiropractic services. You can go for a single visit for $19 OR sign up for a no-contract (but auto renewing) membership which gives you 4 visits in a month for $59. If you're willing to commit to a six month contract of membership, the monthly cost goes down to $49/mo. My first visit was fast, easy, and professional. I filled out some paperwork, watched a short video that explains the principles of chiropractic, and then was ushered into a large open space that contained 3 chiropractic tables. Dr. Alex Kamsi asked me a few questions and had me demonstrate my range of motion in my neck and back, and then it was right to the table. In my case, I've had a ton of chiropractic work over the years, but I haven't been in to see one in the last 6+ years (have had other holistic treatments). This time around, I knew that my neck was misaligned and needed a quick adjustment. Dr. Kamsi adjusted my neck, torso, pelvis, and my extremities and even helped me stretched my tight hamstrings. He told me that this treatment should help me feel better and have a significant improvement in my range of motion and advised me to ice my neck at bedtime. He said that follow up treatments will help get to deeper levels within the body. I walked out feeling immediate relief and could turn my neck much further than I had in many months! I signed up for the regular monthly service and hope to receive service for at least 2-3 months to ensure that all areas are back in alignment. I've been to a number of traditional chiropractors with different techniques, and generally a much higher price tag, especially if you don't have chiropractic insurance coverage. I can say that Dr. Kamsi is a hands-on person (doesn't rely on gadgets) and is astute at listening and diagnosing the problem quickly. Highly recommend. read more

I drive to this location (even though another location is closer to my house) just to see Dr. Sharon Brown on the days she works. I've seen a lot of chiropractors and she is by far the best Joint chiropractor I've seen. Most put you on the table and do the standard cracks. Sharon, on the other hand, asks if I'm having any issues or pain and she tailors her treatment to my needs. I always leave feeling better than when I went in. Bonus, she's also a pleasant and kind person. I highly recommend her. read more

I've walked out frustrated either because she hurt my neck more than it hurt before, or the adjustment felt like nothing and it was a lazy metal tap with that little device. Dr Sharon may be the worst Chiro I've ever visited. She may be a nice woman but I am hesitant to visit the closest location to my home, minutes away.... which is supposed to be the convenience of the multiple locations, is it not? I've walked in and right back out and driven to further locations knowing someone there or anywhere for that matter will be better. I still have my membership but not being able to feel good in my body and walking out worse isn't worth it to me, driving to Clairemont mesa, carlsbad, or mira mesa to see better Dr's is great, but not for my gas bill. im just so frustrated that I invested in my health to feel better and I end up being hurt. I've never had this experience in my 30 years of trying to fix my neck and back. I do NOT recommend this location whatsoever. The other male Dr is OK, much better but still just... soft. I purchased membership about 2 months ago and then after a few visits I wondered why I had waited so long. I was skeptical about the quality of care but I was very wrong. My pain diminished by at least 50% in the first week!! I've been religiously visiting every week to stay on track and needless to say, I am very satisfied. When I walked in for today's visit at 4:40 (they close at 5), I could tell the chiropractor was already in a sour mood. She didn't smile or say hello. Not friendly. I proceeded to tell her that I wasn't in pain but wanted to enhance and maintain what the previous chiropractor (Dr. Pamela Koraly - the ONLY chiropractor who's helped me at the Joint and the ONLY reason this isn't a one-star review. But she may not be staying at the Joint) helped me with. She flippantly said "Oh, well, every chiropractor has different methods." Different methods? As in, some help people heal long term and some don't? I wasn't talking about "how" she adjusted me. I was talking about what she adjusted. The, you know, bones. She wouldn't even listen to me, impatiently wringing her hands and cocking her hip. As an empath, I could tell she was just waiting for me to get on the table and get out. I proceeded to explain that "no," Dr. Pam just identified a trigger spot and helped move the bones around that spot, recognizing that it was the root cause of my hip pain. She said it again, "Yeah, everyone just has different methods." She didn't want to listen. She didn't want to learn. My instincts told me not to lie on that table but I stupidly didn't follow them. She adjusted my spine, spending all of 3 seconds on the spot I'd shared with her was my "trigger area." She then proceeded to yank my hip so hard that I felt it pop out of alignment (the hip that's been causing me so many problems). Clearly she was just trying to get the "crack." I've never felt more rushed through an adjustment before. Then, as she reached for my neck I stopped her. "No, I don't want my neck adjusted." I didn't want anything more from her. As I left, I could feel the old pain that Dr. Pamela had FINALLY alleviated creep back in my hip. This chiropractor had actually re-injured me. I hate to give The Joint as a whole such a low score, but this is the second time I've left The Joint WITH pain I didn't enter with. I've tried to go to other chiropractors as a solution, but clearly... this is a chiropractic factory where the goal is "the crack," and few chiropractors are actually interested in helping healing happen. I'll be paying much more money tomorrow to go to a real chiropractor who can fix what this chiropractor did to my back. read more

I canceled my account with Joint Chiropractic on September 14th, 2019--The service was uneven through the three months that I was a member, as some of the Chiropractors were good, but, some were not. THE REAL ISSUE STARTED AFTER I CANCELED MY MEMBERSHIP My automatic payment was due on the 17th of each month and I was assured that I would not be charged for the coming month. Nevertheless, I was charged on the 17th for $69.00. I contacted the store in Encinitas and was told they didn't have a record of my cancelation. So, I supplied my copy to them, consequently, they assured me of no more charges to my account. Concurrently, I challenged the payment with an included record of the cancelation with my bank and the money was refunded on September 23rd. A week of holding my money. Well, today (October 17th), another charge hit my account for $69.00 and I went back to the Encinitas store. Guess what? They told me they didn't have any record of my cancelation, wanting me to fill out another one. Asking to speak to whoever handles accounting led me to a "We will take your number and call you back" response. After returning home, I tried calling the corporate number for customer service, after hitting zero the call disconnected (three times). There are better places to spend your money than a place that changes employees every week and holds your money to cover expenses. read more

The Joint in Encinitas is the best!. I first started going to "The Joint" at Mira Mesa. I went there for 2 months and didn't feel a difference with the back pain that I got due to working from home and offices are being closed. I decided to use my last visit at Mira Mesa location and cancel the membership as I wasn't getting even a slight help. That day I met with Dr. Christopher Zeiter and he was amazing. He listened to me very carefully, understood the problem and after that did the proper adjustments. Honestly speaking, on that day I actually realized that the adjustments could help with the pain and I felt amazing after the adjustments. Dr Chris also recommended some exercises which were suggested by the previous Chairo at Mira Mesa. Starting that day, I am continuously visiting Dr. Chris Zeiter at the Encinitas location. I live at Mira Mesa but I still drive more than 10 miles to see Dr Chris. He listens to all complains with attention, do the adjustments, prepare a personal plan to improve the back health and suggest correct seating/sleeping posture and exercises. I am extremely satisfied with Dr Chris and will continue to visit him at the Encinitas location. PS: I decided to keep my membership after I met Dr Chris :). read more

My wife and I have been coming here for a few months and love it. They do a great job at giving adjustments and it's fast and very affordable. I can actually get free chiropractic care on the military base but it's so hard to book appointments and just such a hassle. I'd rather pay less than $20 a visit here and never wait more than 10-15 mins without an appointment. I switch back and forth between this location and the Oceanside one. Both are great. I was hesitant and a bit skeptical about the business concept, imagining the doctors would be sub-par and there would be a wait etc. Well, let me tell you, any skepticism is GONE. From the minute I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and friendly and efficient service from Caryn. She makes a point to get to know the patients and moves us along quickly. Dr. Brightwell is a master at his craft and a really nice man to boot. I was in dire need on my first visit and felt 70% better after that adjustment, within two adjustments I was back in alignment and feeling great. I am definitely aware that my body just functions and feels better with regular chiropractic care. The pricing is great and I like that there are multiple options. I only wish they were a wee bit closer to Carmel Valley/Del Mar. BUT, again, I highly recommend The Joint in Encinitas. I've seen chiropractors of many kinds for most of my life. I have never once been literally injured by one until I went to this place. Went in seeking help for pain in my upper back that is made worse by caring for my two little children, ended up with a new, much more severe issue in a completely unrelated body part in which I've never before experienced discomfort. I'm taking percocets leftover from my c-section just trying to get through it. I told Dr. Brightwell that I was hurt during the appointment in which it happened and he said "ohhhhh, no. I hope I didn't do such-and-such because you're gonna really hate me if that happened." Really, dude? I asked for a refund of the second (unused) month of membership and instead of apologizing and complying, the person at the front desk started arguing with me and wanted me to stand in there and talk to her indefinitely about it. Told me there was "no note of the injury" despite the doctor coming out while I was there and acknowledging again that it happened. Front desk girl twice that they have a 30-day cancellation policy (I don't care). I finally just told them to cancel the thing and do whatever they want regarding a refund and I'll just deal with it with my credit card company. Wish I'd never laid eyes on them. read more

No doctor or shot or chiropractor has been able relieve a raging migraine for me and I was amazed. Immediately signed up for a wellness practice. Best health decision I've ever made. I saw today Dr Christopher Zeiter and it was the best experience I had with a chiropractor. He ask me how I was feeling and what specific area was bothering me, and in base of that he worked on my back; but not only the typical adjust, he went beyond that he use and special tool to help him to discontracturated my muscles.
