I rarely write these but I just had a very unpleasant experience there which left me very upset. I went in for what I thought was my last session before the new cycle begins what I believed to be tomorrow. As I had been informed last week when I went. I tried signing in quickly with my usual card but it got denied. The girl at the front was busy so it took a while to figure out what the problem was. Meanwhile Dr.Ivan was free but couldn't see me yet as there was an issue. Apparently I had a balance due and my card had been declined since I just got a new one. I was then told I had no more sessions left. I specifically went in today because the girl last week had told me I had to use last session by the 21st. I specifically asked so I need to come in again Monday or Tuesday and she said yes. Then this girl tells me no before the 21st and that I have none left. I told her the girl last week had misinformed me then. At that point, I expect someone with good customer service skills to apologize and say sorry for the misunderstanding. We'll let you use the last session now but please provide your new credit card for the new balance. Instead she was just telling me I had no no more sessions and needed to pay my balance. I was so upset at that point and feeling uncomfortable as the waiting area was starting to get crowded so I left. She then proceeds to call me and say I need to pay my balance. I told her frankly I don't feel comfortable going in now due to the spike in covid cases and she didn't even try to accommodate me in any way. I was beyond disappointed as until now I had had a pretty pleasant experience each time. I signed up with Irene who was great and Dr.Kevin Ivan and Himes have all been great. Now I'm so turned off from even wanting to return and left without even being seen today. read more

I walked in today with no appointment. The receptionist was very helpful and sweet, she got me started quickly. The facility is very clean. The Dr. was very professional he listened to everything i said and he helped my pain go away in a quick and fair amount of time! Many doctors who have all been very helpful with maintaining my weekly wellness . On the weekends I usually come in first thing in the morning to avoid any weekend crowds . Not the best place. I'd rather go to dr. Hunts office in Downey. They do a much better job adjusting my back. Also I like my privacy and at the joint facility there are no rooms it's kinda embarrassing. One big room with like 10 chairs. Woman at the front desk is condescending. Called ahead, was explained that I should arrive 90 min before closing time. Did so, and after I told her why I needed (one time adjustment), she says I missed the deadline because there are two people ahead of me. Clean, good customer service, they offer you water right away, affordable, no appointment necessary, open 7 days a week, multiple locations and they get the job done. I went in for back pain and migraine, after the first visit I feel better. I'm definitely going back as they recommended to completely get rid of this pain. I never write reviews unless it's so bad that it must be done, this is one of those times. This is probably only my second review ever. I went into The Joint in Downey today. I was hoping to find a good chiropractor near me. And well, in less than 10 minutes that I was there, I can tell you I will never go back. What can be so terrible in only the first 10 minutes of walking in you ask? The receptionist.... She was extremely rude and had no customer services skills at all, seriously reminded me of a DMV worker. Honestly, I could not believe it. I literally stopped filling out the forms, told the lady she was rude and walked out. I'm a paying customer I don't have to put up with that. I don't think I've ever left a place like I did today. That's how bad it was. I have nothing to say about the chiropractors work because I couldn't even make it that far. Some people can tolerate difficult and ridiculously rude people but I only expect to do that in places like the DMV where you have no choice but to take it! When I pay for a service, respect from beginning to end should come with it or I'll take my business elsewhere. He explained the procedure thoroughly and even gave me "homework" which were additional stretches to do at home in order to support my treatment. I was recommended by a friend to come here for an adjustment said the doctor was really nice. Came in yesterday around 5:45 pm and since their office is "walk ins welcome" I thought that just maybe I could be seen for some discomfort I've been experiencing. I walked in only to be told there was 1 hour wait since I was not a new patient I needed to fill out new patient forms. I took them back in today only to be told I missed the "new patient" deadline! WTH! And The receptionist then tells me- that's why I gave you the forms yesterday! How is it possible to have these type of people as part of the company! No customer service skills whatsoever. Saw Dr. Megan on Sunday. Horrible - she was very aggressive and fast and her adjustment was a total waste. The whole adjustment was 3 minutes, so warning - don't go right before her 2:00 lunch. You really have to be careful who you let adjust you. She was the second worst Chiropractor out of all I've seen at the Joint. To boot she was not very friendly.
