She is knowledgeable and is always so welcoming with a warm smile. This place CAN get quite busy around noon and 3P-5P. Dr. Kristina is amazing! She is approachable. 1-Star Review Very disappointed with our experience at this location. I came in with my wife for an adjustment, and I called ahead of time specifically to ask about the wait. We were told there was no wait, so we decided to come in. Unfortunately, after arriving, we ended up waiting 30 minutes or more. What made the experience even more frustrating was watching several people arrive after us and get called back before my husband. I went up to the front desk to ask when I would be seen, and we were reassured that I was next. However, shortly after that, they called another patient instead. At that point, we felt like we were being completely overlooked. There was also a woman at the front desk who appeared to be a manager or supervisor (I don't know her exact position). She was spending a significant amount of time talking with another person instead of following up with the doctor or checking on the patients who had already been waiting. We eventually became so frustrated that we walked out without my husband ever being seen. I honestly chose this location because of the great reviews, so this experience was especially disappointing. I understand that businesses can get busy and that waits can happen, but telling us there was no wait, making us wait over 30 minutes, repeatedly telling us we were next, and then continuing to call other people ahead of us is not acceptable customer service. Hopefully management addresses the way patients are being checked in and prioritized, because this experience felt extremely unprofessional and left a very bad first impression. Went last Sunday and was left completely unaligned and in pain. Had to go to the one in Cerritoes to get myself fixed. Cerritoes specialist were concerned about how bad I was and couldn't do my Ironman race in the end because of this. Took a week off work and now barely walking ok. Beware of this place. Never had pain complications just going for wellness. Now I have to go just to feel ok. read more

Didn't even wait to be seen by the chiropractor I walked out. This was my first and definitely will not be returning. The receptionist really needs to be retrained on how customer service works. First she didn't greet me which that didn't bother me , what bothered me was when the chiro yelled my name from the back the reception lied telling him I'm not ready and was still filling out paperwork which was a lie. I've used chiropractic care off and on for 30+ years when I "needed it", like after an accident or injury. Similar to how people take vitamin C when they are sick instead of maintaining a diet rich in vitamin C all year long". Finally, I realized that I should be taking care of myself even when it doesn't feel like I "need it". I've been coming to The Joint Downey for 5+ years. The plan that I am on allows four adjustments/month, no appointment necessary, for a price comparable to what I used to pay for a single visit at other chiropractors. For me, that is a good value. Even though chiropractic care is not covered by my insurance, I am able to afford good regular care. I have had good experiences with all of the doctors here. They each use slightly different methods, but I always have good results. I do have my favorite doctors. Dr. Kevin and Dr. Himes are outstanding and their schedule is regular. My new favorite is Dr. Kristina. She seems to have a sports medicine background and uses stretches that really help with my mobility/range of motion issues stemming from an old sports injury. read more
