The rudest so called Dr. I have ever dealt with. He was mad because I did not pay them. I signed up in Auburn, Al. They need to close this location down. I was treated so poorly because I did not spend money at their location at the startup. But after my month of treatments I would have changed it to Columbus because I work in Columbus. This Dr. needs to be fired. You don't talk to patients like they are beneath you. We spend our money for a service and we are told we can go to any location for treatment. Our records follow us so every Dr. can see what is going on. Everyone keep in mind that if you don't spend your money with that location they will treat you poorly. read more

My first visit was with detailed explanation and patient care with the visiting doctor because Dr. Parrish was out on vacation. The receptionist was also patient and kind. I did not return for a month, due to death in the family. My second visit was a walk-in, and I spent some time at the front desk because I asked for a refresher on how the visits work. During the conversation, the receptionist said "he's ready for you" even though another customer arrived and could have been seen. I asked an additional question and when I got to the back, Dr. P was very rude to me and needs to work on his bedside manner. He said to me, what was taking you so long to get back here. I explained that I had questions. He then scolded me for not returning last month, which I explained I had death in the family. He spent less than 6 minutes with me. I feel that he needs another class on patient bedside manners. I left there in tears and expressed to the receptionist I would not return. This was a Thursday and on Sunday I went to the ER at Martin Army to learn his skills were a bit rough on me which led to painful muscle spasms. The first visit I was sore, but nothing like the second visit. He was quick and rough, and it was not necessary. I want to cancel my 90-day contract, because the other closest clinic is in Opelika or Auburn. I am retired military, 20 years' service, and will not recommend this doctor to our Soldiers, Family or Friends, and I informed the receptionist that I would not return to this clinic with this doctor. We tried to take our daughter in for hip alignment issue the day of a softball game. We checked her out of school with plenty of time to get there before they close for break from 2-3pm. We got there 20 minutes prior and were told they would not see us because we needed to be an hour early. Which is stated nowhere for this literal walk in clinic. We tried to explain the situation and told them we could not come back at 3pm because of her game. They did not care. I have been in customer service for most of my life, and I would never treat someone this way. The paperwork takes 5 minutes to fill out. The payment and alignment would take maybe 4 minutes. This was just awful care of a patient and selfish behavior. And now they've lost myself and my family members as patients as well. I asked for the number to corporate, and Vicki said she didn't know it. Luckily it's listed online though Vicki. The bed side manner here has always been awful. Finally had chance to come back after. Driving 2 1/2 hour a year go during the week and they were randomly closed due staff issues... which I understood though annoyed it. By far the worst experience at a joint so disappointed that we decided come here instead of Jacksonville. I have the monthly membership that I never use up has we live 2 1/2 hours from the closet joint until they open one in Tallahassee. I wasn't going to be given my free one offered on my Google review for last year as I still have 4 to use for the month. So my husband who is packaged user should have been able to use the said free one. We both had to drive up here that day for it to been closed and we both had drove up here today. Now for the adjustment... the Dr wouldn't give me one. Said my health paperwork was to old. I get monthly adjust I've been a member since 2014 but with every appointment I have they keep records of what they are doing and any major new health problems I've had, have been recorded I know this because when I've visited other locations they have mentioned them to me. It seemed to me he just wanted to get me out of the office and not actually adjust me which is what I came in for. I used one of my sessions for an activator... I explained to him I have neck problems and my Dr. told me to never get my necked popped because it could be dangerous. I purchased a membership and went here for a little over a year. The main chiropractor's actions were the reason I decided to leave. He made several comments that were rude, unprofessional, and downright inappropriate. For example, he told me I should stop having my hair braided because it was cheap Chinese hair thats probably carrying covid. Not really sure why a bald white man would be so interested in a black Woman's hair. His opinion was not requested nor were we even discussing the subject. This is just one example of the type of micro-aggressive comments he's made. In addition to this and several other little snappy comments I also noticed the way he treated me as a patient was distinctly different from how he treated other customers. For some customers he'd ask how was their week and how were the kids.... For customers that looked like me it was just "lay on the table, face down". I really thought I was just having a bad experience until I had a conversation with a complete stranger. She too was a black woman and she detailed pretty much the same experience I had. Also, his technique is quite aggressive. This was my first chiropractor so I didn't realize how aggressive he was (to the point where I'd be sore the next day) until I decided to try a different location. After visiting another branch out of town and seeing the way customers SHOULD be treated I finally decided I had enough and I canceled my membership. Not saying he's a racist but I definitely think he's a boomer with culturally and racially motivated micro aggressions. My only goal in writing this review is to inspire change and improvement. My experience was the most unpleasant experience I've had with a chiropractor. The receptionist was fantastic. The chiropractor who treated me (9/12/22) was the main contributor to my poor experience. He did not greet me, which, for me, spoke to his bedside manner and interpersonal skills. Nonetheless, his treatment was rushed, rough, and uncomfortable. I was looking forward to my first visit at The Joint Chiropractic in Columbus, Ga and during my phone call with an employee by the name of "Kay", I asked if masks were required at their facility. Kay told me "no, you can wear one if you want but most people don't wear one. It's up to your comfort level". I responded that I would not be comfortable in their facility with other people not wearing masks, and therefore, would not be able to come in afterall. Kay, nonchalantly said, "Ok, that's fine". If you call and cancel make sure you check your bank statements and get it in writing that they have. The reason I don't recommend this office is that I called in December to this location to stop my dads contract. Fast forward to august this year and they still had been charging him. I called several times and email and still nothing. Getting the run around with getting my fathers money back. Saying that they can't do anything they called this person and that person. We started using The Joint system almost a year ago now in our travels around the country. We joined as members and have always had great experiences in The Joints. We are currently in the Columbus area and decided to stop in today for an adjustment in the Columbus office. We WON'T Be back! Today was our worst chiropractic adjustment we've ever had in these 18 years and I don't mean one of us but BOTH of us had our worst ever adjustment. Dr. Parish even went ahead and adjusted my neck with me facing up after I told him I don't do well with with an up facing neck adjustment. The adjustment he did to my lower body left me needing to catch my breath before I stood up. He was rough and very much in a hurry and he didn't even care that I couldn't catch my breath in fact he was rather cocky about it. My husband had just as bad of an experience. He didn't take the time to learn about what we needed. I went in today for a wellness visit and I left In pain and with a headache I didn't have when I walked in the door. My husband went in needing some pain relief for a sore shoulder and he left there in way more pain in his shoulder than he started with + with some pain in one of his legs he didn't have. Several months ago I came in for an adjustment and left with two herniated discs in my neck. I had immidiate muscles spasms and could not move due to the forceful adjustment. After an MRI, several visits to a spinal surgeon, and physical therapy, I now need surgery. I have competed in five Ironmans and now I can't train. Do yourself a favor and go to a chiropractor that will take X-rays and give you proper care. The convenience is not worth the risk. Please learn from my mistake. read more

My usual chiropractor was not open one day when i got severe neck/back pain that made me unable to move my neck and was so bad that i had tears from the pain so i decided to go to the joint in colga and it was terrible. first of all, i went there with my dad due to not being able to drive from the pain and the chiropractor said that he could not go back with me, which i DID want him to come with me and i consented, but the chiropractor said it was against hippa for some reason when it was no one else back there but us???? After already being upset about the unbearable pain i was in, it was not fun to be told that. When i was on the table, all he did was talk to me about where i was in pain and then after a min of just sitting there, he finally told me that he could not do anything without me having x-rays done. He did add that my hips were unaligned (this was not even my pain area) and did not even try to fix it. Additionally, of course they do not do x-rays in office so i had to drive down the street to get one (which i never did because i decided after i got in my car that i was not even going to bother to go back to that chiropractor). Im not sure of the chiropractors name but i think he lacks some bedside manner with his patients as well as maybe some caring personality. I do not recommend going to that place at all. If youre in the columbus area and are looking for a chiropractor, i know its a little bit of a drive but i recommend dr tammy kaminski at Back to life chiropractic center in lagrange because everyone in her office is very caring and excellent. read more

However, I chose to give it one star because of the TERRIBLE female Dr. I have never had a Dr. be so unfriendly and give such a rough adjustment in my life. They didn't want you to pay until after you had seen the doctor and had an adjustment-- which is far different than the last Chiropractor practice I went to that wanted all their money up front!! The Dr walked me through everything he was going to do and did a great job of explaining on charts the cause and effects for my pains and then treatments. He gave me exercises to do at home. If anyone KNOWS they are in really bad shape-- they shouldn't be coming to a Chiropractor. I appreciate a practice that is not going to charge you for a bunch of xrays, etc. and insist you come in once or twice a week. I was extremely pleased with my first visit with Dr. Parish, and continue to be pleased with his care along with my progress. As a healthcare provider myself, often we tend to be the worse patients. Dr. Parish reviewed my health history, performed a physical exam, and reviewed my MRI results. He found there was no need to order further x-rays, nor MRI's. After consulting with me about his findings, course of care and treatment plan, I received my first adjustment ever! It was awesome, and I received moderate relief quite quickly. I continue to go for treatment once a week, and opted for their monthly Wellness Plan. If you go decide to go here call ahead to make sure the MALE chiropractor, I've never had any issue with him He's great. The female chiropractor is another story... I don't know if this was an off day or what but first the receptionist "Millie" offered for me to pay since the female chiropractor was with someone (no big deal I've done it before) but just as I'm finishing paying she sends two people that walked in right as we're finishing up to the back ahead of me...I have to admit I was pretty annoyed at first...I decided to chill out & let it go...I guess the chiropractor had us in order to when we checked in because she ended up having to call me back there ahead of them anyways, next I'd just found out the person I would be seeing was different, had I know this I probably would've passed. She struggled through my entire adjustment (id been here 2 days prior and a few times a week for about a month mind you) I'm very petite & fit so normally I'm in & out, she even had the nerve to ask me "do you stretch?"
