The staff is friendly, though at times almost overly nice in a way that feels a bit forced. The real problem is their membership. I signed up for the monthly plan, but because of work and frequent travel, I couldn't use it. I hadn't been in for over five months and had already called to cancel, but they refused to process cancellations over the phone. When I finally stopped in, it was the first day of a new billing cycle, and they had already charged me again. Even after explaining the situation, they refused to refund me. What made it worse was that they kept insisting there are "many locations" available to use, but I explained multiple times that in the areas I travel for work, there are no convenient locations nearby. Their response was dismissive, as if my circumstances didn't matter. In the end, this business charged me for a service I didn't use for months, ignored my cancellation attempts, and hid behind rigid policies instead of treating me fairly. When I called to request clarification, the staff member I spoke with was dismissive and unprofessional, stating that I had signed a contract and should "go read it." It is misleading and inappropriate to verbally communicate one payment arrangement and then present a different written agreement. I am requesting an explanation of these charges and clarification on why the verbal information I was given did not match the actual terms of the contract. read more

Careful to what they make you sign . The receptionist will tell you that you're signing your payment but she is getting you enrolled into a monthly plan that will be charged automatically from your card. If you request a refund they will not give it back, even though you are not planning on going back because you feel worst every time you go. They are very sneaky people. They should give people a copy of every paper they make them sign. I myself never completed my visits for the first month because I couldn't get up from bed. On my experience, this is the worst chiropractor. I requested help from another chiropractor from Bakersfield. He told me I had a pelvic sprain, uneven hips, and my c2 . The chiropractor from the joint chiropractor said it was my Psoas muscle nothing else but my Psoas muscle. Honestly go to another place. They don't even tell you what exactly you have . I called and was able to get an appointment for the same day. When I walked in, I was greeted right away with friendliness. I filled out the forms and was seen shortly after. Background: I had been having migraines for about three weeks and was in constant pain. The chiropractor explained everything to me and while I was there, I was in the peak of a migraine. At first, he was hesitant to do anything but I was persistent and told him that I just wanted to be out of pain. After some adjustments, I started feeling better almost immediately. I had almost forgotten what it felt like to be without pain. The receptionist explained the plans they had and the one that the doctor recommended. I chose a plan that suited my financial situation and I walked out with confidence. I'm still having some minor issues but the doctor said it was to be expected for a while. I'm sad to say this long anticipated opening was not up to my expectations to say the least. I was seen a few weeks back by one doctor that was covering for the primary chiropractor. He was very knowledgeable, professional and concerned with my level of pain. He listened to my concerns, and adjusted my left hip, neck and right hip. He wrote a prescription for magnesium that would help. I came back a week later and waited an hour and 15 minutes, my schedule couldn't permit me to stay longer, it was my choice to leave. I visited today, and the chiropractor gave me a complete opposite diagnosis. Apparently my glutes are out of shape and need exercises. He was not professional and seemed irritated when I kept asking questions. That was my diagnosis? Work my glutes? I walked out embarrassed and still in pain. I asked about the prescription on what type of magnesium I needed, he said he didn't recommend supplements. Now I'm really concerned and confused. What is my diagnosis? Why wasn't a comprehensive treatment plan recommended? Both doctors provided 2 very different diagnosis and treatments. I just wanted to get relief. When I walked out the front desk asked me if I felt better, and my response was "not really". I'm a business owner and if a client of mine expressed this, I would've made a phone call immediately. So sad day today, I walked into the joint to get fixed and I'm still in pain. read more

I called to make an appointment on a Sunday because my back was really out and I could hardly walk. This has happened to me many times in the past, nothing new. The Dr. would NOT see me because I'm on Medicare. So many regulations. Even tho I begged because I was in a great deal of pain, I explained this was NOT a new injury etc. he refused to treat me. Needless to say I left very upset and still in pain. They need to inform Medicare patients of the stipulations BEFORE they try to make an appointment!! read more

Its been about a month since I've come in for some complications with my shoulder, and I have nothing but great things to say. The front desk staff was very nice and made the process quick and simple. I've been getting adjustments regularly from Dr. Carlos, who in my opinion, is a perfect match for what I needed. He was straightforward and professional, for the past month I've noticed my shoulder pain go away almost completely after each adjustment. I found out about this place from the Bakersfield Marathon late march. They had a booth and was having a special for new members. I had my 3rd baby over a month ago and was experiencing a lot of low back pain. I've never really gone to get chiropractic care but I wish I would've gone sooner ! They are very professional and kind. Vicky in the front is awesome, answered all my questions and made me feel so welcomed! I saw Dr Carlos , he is very great!
