I originally went for a tune up on my lower back. The first consultation was great and my back felt amazing. The original chiropractor George was able to correctly realign me. I signed up for the monthly service the same day and went back for nearly 3 months. The quality of care differed highly from each "doctor." I felt like I had to keep coming back more frequently to realign my back, even though I had been taking it easy. In December I checked out another health / wellness clinic in Naperville and they offered a free X ray right away to figure out the issue. It was a disc issue and then I was told more chiropractors should take an X ray before performing alignments. This was never offered at The Joint and I believe the alignments being done were not helping the disc area, but making it more agitated and enflamed. I called to cancel at 9:20AM on my renewal day and since they auto billed me at 6am, they won't refund the month of January even though none of the services were used at all. This location and most likely others are being managed by a person in another state and have been very difficult to communicate with via phone. Basic customer service would be to provide a good faith refund of the month for services not used to entice me to stay as a customer and for future referrals. 1/10 would not recommend. read more

Had back pain for a couple weeks and when I went to get adjusted he said my back felt really tight.. he adjusted me anyway.. as soon as I left I went straight to urgent care.. I had to life my legs into my car. Urgent care, orthopedic doctor, xray, ct, mri... severe L4 and L5 degenerative disks.. I waited and went to another chiro and he refused to adjust me by my symptoms but he had me do stretches that did work for a while.. needless to say I had back surgery and I truly believe "the joint" is for money only and the obese man that adjusted me severely hurt my back read more

This place is great. Wife and I used Dr. Larry at first...but he no longer works there. We usually see Dr. Michael now. These guys are great. My quad feels better after seeing them for the past month...and my back alignment is better. My wifes back pain is much better as well after she fell on ice earlier this year. I've been coming to The Joint Chiropractic for almost 3 years, and it's steadily getting worse. The chiropractors keep going away once I get used to their technique, and they know what/ how I need adjustments. Now, the clients are being told to wait next to the adjustment area, watching other clients getting their adjustments and hearing all the personal information being exchanged between Doctors and their patients. This also forces the chiropractors to push through patients and bot really fixing the problems the patients are having. A patient isn't going to say what they need done because they are being watched by complete strangers! How rude. This should be addressed asap. I will not be recommending this place until it's fixed, and I will be canceling my membership and visits. Used to love this place and recommend this place to work alongside my massage therapy given. I'll try to find a new place that respects clients time and personal space. read more

The adjustment was quick and relieved my symptoms, made my back feel great. It was explained to me that it would take multiple treatments for meaningful results which I do understand. When I asked Dr Alecia about the price of treatment she gave me the options very straightforward. I told her I wasn't interested in committing to any plans at the moment and she told me of the importance of return treatments and told me the progress of my treatment today would be lost if I didn't return the following day. I told her again I would have to think about it. When Dr Alecia escorted me to the front to check out she informed the receptionist that I would be returning the next day and that I was planning on 6 additional visits. Another woman then began giving me the different service options and I her I wasn't interested in committing to anything. She then told me I would be paying more money at any other chiropractor and that the plan she offers is the best choice. I asked her what the conditions of the offer were, since the material she provided had an asterisk, she told me she didn't know. I told her again I wasn't interested. The receptionist joined into the sales pitch along with a third woman who came from the back to try to explain the necessity of my treatment. I explained that I had repeatedly refused the offer and I was being made uncomfortable by the sales pitch and that I would like to pay and leave. One more time I was explained the value of their service, I said I would like to pay and leave. I paid and left. My back does feel better though, but I will not be returning to this location or company. read more

Dr. Matt is very knowledgeable about sports related injuries. I had strained my hamstring running up a hill. Dr. Matt was able to make it much less painful and also described a couple of exercises to try to prevent it from happening again. The clinic is very neat and organized, and the rest of the staff is very friendly. I will definitely be a regular patient. read more

I went today, and at first I thought the deal was good & it would be worth it at the least. I am aware I was a walk-in, but the doctor kept interrupting our conversation to adjust an appointment who barely walked through the door (this happened at least 3 times). He kept apologizing and I didn't make it a big deal but it was a little rude to say the least. Then, the doctor is super pushy to say you need all kinds of treatment for what he's about to exam...he didn't even touch me. And now I'm laying down, feeling the same pain I felt last night. He did however relieve my neck pain. So it was worth it to me personally on behalf of my stiff neck. He also followed me to the front, which I felt uncomfortable with, due to the fact I was only paying and I think he wanted to make sure I got the package. It's just a little pushy here that's all. Very pushy receptionist. Insisted multiple treatments were necessary even though it was on the phone and I knew what the issue is. I have had the problem before. In my 10 minute phone call this place advocated about 5 of the "bad chiro" list practices. Going back to my doc in Geneva. And beware. read more

I did receive some much needed relief in my lower back on my first visit. the "doctor" took the time to explain why I was experincing pain and suggested the wellness plan.... and they got me. only saw him twice after that other dr's didn't look at notes just asked how you doing and in 45 seconds I was done. I thought I signed a two month contract because the Dr said he wanted to see me several times a week the first month and then once a week the second month. the first week helped a lot after that I didn't feel anything so I stopped going they texted me reminding me I haven't been using my plan I went in to cancel and they said they just charged another $80 for the third month that day. I she said she'd speak to her manager and then call me she did and then called me and said she couldn't cancel it but I can come in four times this month. be careful. they're into making money more than anything. read more

Love this chiropractic center! I came in about an hour thinking I wasn't able to be checked in but Doctor Larry does adjustments quick and easy! 5 minutes tops! He was able to detect things in my body I didn't know I had and I'm glad because I lift and I used to dance so being adjusted by Larry helped so much!
