I come here at least once a week with Dr Gallo and Dr Mark! I'm on the monthly membership and it's so convenient since I can go to any Joint clinic! When I came in they were very straight forward on this being a wellness center and how repetitive treatment would help me with my pain. I've suffered from back pain since I was a kid and so far only chiro care has helped me. The adjustments do wonders! I've tried with different chiros but these guys know the exact level of "pressure" I need since I have a pretty sensitive back. In short, I still come regularly and I appreciate both Dr. Gallo and Dr. Olinger's attentive care. I'm updating my review because it's been a couple years and I'm waiting for my turn to be adjusted. Dr. Gallo is the owner of this particular location and I probably see him the most because of scheduling, but I really do appreciate his manner. He feels like an old friend and he takes the time to listen to whatever is bothering me before adjusting. The interactive care I receive through him is practically unheard of. I've been coming long enough consistently that I can point out what and when something doesn't quite feel right while he's realigning me, and he adjusts on the fly to make sure my concerns are taken care of. I'm a little on the husky side (I work out regularly but i'm still fluffy) and my back and neck can get pretty stiff, but he's able to straighten me out by sheer finesse. Dr. Olinger is also equally attentive and skilled, and well versed in his own adjustment techniques that sometimes range a different approach to problematic areas with great results. BTW, I've been taking advantage of the wellness plan for years, which really comes in handy. I get 4 visits per month, and if I need to come in more, each additional visit is only $10. A few months ago I randomly woke up in excruciating pain (unrelated to my treatment) - I'm at the age where just sleeping wrong can be debilitating, and adding a little variety to my workout routine can be crippling, so who who knows what caused it? Regardless, I felt like the whole left side of my back was knotted up and I could hardly bend down or look to one side without feeling searing pain. I almost checked myself into the ER, but I hate hospitals and the Joint was closer, so I figured out couldn't hurt to get checked out. Dr. Gallo confirmed my back was all out of alignment, adjusted me as well as he could, and a majority of the pain subsided. I saw him again the next day, and then Dr. Olinger the day after, and I was back to normal within a week, only taking Tylenol and Biofreeze for the muscle pain. I'm glad I saved myself a trip to the ER and a bunch of labs, X-Rays, and strong prescription medications when a little holistic care was able to do the trick. This is like the Dollar Store of Chiro. While they do treat you, they just want you to get in and out quickly. Their treatment is very limited. The office is also very sparse in equipment. They have no massage treatment, no massage chairs either. There is also no privacy for a patient. If you watch the chiropractic videos, you will see the difference in treatment. read more

Hello everyone! I have been coming to the joint for a couple of weeks now. As a mom of 4 with one of them being a newborn my body, back and everything in between has taken a toll. Reason for coming was I fell slept wrong and my body was so stiff and I was in so much pain. I had back problems and my sciatic nerve has been a hectic pain that comes and goes. I arrived here after calling a few places for quotes because my back was in a lot of pain. The joint was the most affordable for a $29 consult and adjustment. The adjustments usually take 5 mins or less- I have been 3 times since. I wish it came with a tiny bit more, like a massage or heat element... but for what it is it's inexpensive and effective. The location was very clean and the concept is super simple. I ended up getting their wellness plan ($89 for 4 visits) it's a 2 month minimum for this plan. Also, check in on Yelp for $10 off!! I have been coming to The Joint and Dr. Gallo for years and it's hard to believe that I've not written a review for The Joint sooner. I first discovered Dr. Gallo seven years ago when I first moved to Orange County while doing an online search after having unbearable back pain which has been bothering me prior to my visit for months without seeking professional help. Upon arrival Dr. Gallo noticed my strong German accent and exchanged a few words with me in German. He immediately made me feel welcome. He is such a nice professional chiropractor to have on your side. The first time he adjusted me there were a bunch of cracking noises and my pain was gone instantly. It turns out that I had a pinched nerve and his adjustment made all the difference in my well being. Ever since, he has been my main to go guy to visit and he has improved my quality of life tremendously! Dr. Gallo also offers reasonably priced wellness programs and personal treatments. He also explained simple exercises which I should do before bedtime or at the gym. I highly recommend The Joint and Dr. Gallo to anyone who is in need of a qualified chiropractor. read more

The only reason I am giving this 2 stars instead of 1 is for convenience of being open on Sundays when 99% of other chiropractors are not. I only come here on Sundays as a walk in if I'm in a lot of pain since my regular chiropractor is not open on Sundays. I came in yesterday to get adjusted. I've been going to chiropractors for years and one of my big needs is for one side of my hips will sit posterior and am in an extreme amount of pain basically in any sitting or standing position. Said pain was 8/10 bc again hurt to be in a sit or standing position. Doctor said that it couldn't be more than a 5/10 and my pain would need to be equivalent to a hot nail touching your skin to be an 8. Umm what? Odd comparison for when I'm in pain and super uncomfortable in any basic sitting or standing position. Then did a stretch test and said it's likely not my hips but a strained/pulled a muscle. Again, have had this happen multiple times before, have my hips adjusted and the pain is almost immediately released. I get adjusted and the pain is still there with zero improvement. Tells me I need to be back multiple times to see improvement. I go today to my regular chiropractor. He provides heat and stimulation. Get adjusted with a focus on my hips and feel about 80% better with no more pain just soreness. If you need a basic adjustment, this place can probably scratch that itch. But if you are going to use this place as a hopeful remedy to something affecting you from your normal movement, I'd recommend going to an actual private practice chiropractor. While I've been thankful in the past they've been open on Sundays, I will not be back due to the lack of listening and focus on the area of my concern. read more

I'm not going to lie they had a female chiropractor when I started with them and these past 3 months I've only ran into these 2 in the photos and both of them could not help me and they tried making the excuse that I just like females is why they can't help. I just simply asked what I can do to help my lower back pain and they would repeat and say keep coming. Although I pay for a monthly subscription they advise I pay more session so they can help but 2 times a week for 4 weeks straight and they did less justice than me cracking my own back and using a massage machine I don't recommend read more

I have to remember and make sure not to come on Mondays to avoid any and all interactions with Olinger. I've been going back-and-forth from this location and another which is closer for work. Unfortunately this location is the closest to my home but it's not use the mouse because I do not want Ollinger to touch me. To be honest I don't even want to talk to him when I enter the establishment I'm reminded of how rude and sexist he is every time I hear his voice. He makes me feel so uncomfortable he is so cringe. I'm very adamant on asking what doctor is and first before I check in he always makes his way to the front and tries to get in the conversation of the receptionist and I. What an amazing experience. I was in so much pain, standing, laying down, just trying to live was hard. My first time, Vanessa greeted me and I did some paperwork. Shortly after, I got to meet Dr. Gallo who is the nicest, most compassionate man who listened to what hurt. Gentle, told me exactly what he was doing, answered questions. I felt better after one visit. I have now gone 5 times and slowly but surely I am walking, able to stand more and can get out of a chair without wincing. I went to this location yesterday. They close at 7pm. I walked in at 6:38pm and was in excruciating pain. I was turned away. I was told they had too many people already (there were approx. 4 people in the lobby) and would take them over their 7pm "closing" time. This is such poor customer service and shows that this location does not care about their patients. I normally go to the one by my house, and I've never seen them turn people away or close their doors BEFORE their closing time. read more

Hello the joint! The last time I went for an adjustment I was helped by Mark at the Anaheim location. This was the very first time I had a horrible experience with the joint. Usually staff listens the customer to get a full understanding of what is going on their body. This was far from the truth when I was helped by mark! I tried to explain where I was feeling pain and where I needed help with which was pain on the left side of my body which stemmed from a bad left hip. He immediately began to argue that there are no connective tissues or ligaments that would cause such pain. I was taken very aback because I've never had a chiropractor try to outsmart me. He is clearly the expert but to completely disregard the fact that I had pain all along my left side is unacceptable to me. Well, that was just the beginning. So, I further express my concerns about my body and the fact that this bad left hip of mine is causing asymmetry and causing my left ribs to protrude or flare out. Now my body has always been symmetrical up until my poor posture at my sedentary job. Mark tries to convince me that it is okay to be somewhat asymmetrical and that it would cause no issues. I lift weights and do yoga and I experience discomfort during and outside of my workouts because of my left hip so that answer of his is dismissive and careless. When I explain that I lift weights he stops arguing and proceeds to give me an adjustment. I then express that I want to work out pain free and I also don't want a potential hip replacement 30 years down the line. He said I'm too young to be thinking about that, however I believe it is important to take care of the body now for the future. He then talks about himself and says look at me I'm asymmetrical and perfectly fine. That is also unacceptable because that is again dismissing my concerns and he's telling me to just accept what happened to my body and basically live with pain. I still do have pain and I completely wasted an appointment which are not cheap. The joint customers beware the body is a temple and should be treated with the utmost care. I was expecting to be offered resources for stretches that I can do at home to help my case, which is a service I have been offered before at the joint in San Diego by Costco. Don't go close to closing, they wont see you if they have a patient already and if they see you, it will go over the posted closing time. Other Joint Chiropractics I have not had this issue. I am guessing they want to be out of there at the posted calling time.
