I never posted my review because I wanted to ensure I actually wanted to post it. It's been a year since I got my ring "repaired" with this business. Seems like the male owner of the company is a "joy" to work with. I had to screenshot my review because it didn't let me type all of it out. To this day, I am still heartbroken that my ring does not look the same. I did not feel valued working with this group of people. I cried while I drove home this day. I will never give them my business again and if you value your jewelry I would recommend you never go to jewelry connection. They are extremely unprofessional and rude. I brought my wedding band into them to get fix and resized. I asked them if they would be able to do the work, the lady I talked to was rude and snarky. I explained what I needed done and told them what the ring should look like. They told me they could get it done and the next day after I dropped it off told me the ring was completely flattened out. (Mind you the ring is a soft V shape to fit the main ring PERFECTLY) they asked me to send them a photo of what the ring should look like since they flattened it so I did. When I went to pick it up the ring was no longer a circle, it had dents everywhere, the front of the ring was completely bent out of shape and the stones were no longer lying flat. I told them that the ring looks bad and I'm not happy with it and they told me there was nothing they could do unless they completely took the ring apart and even then the rings would not sit nicely together (even though thats how they should be). I told them I wasn't going to pay them to ruin my ring more and the lady who was snarky to me the first time told me that I should just take the ring as it is and learn to live with it cause it's a cheap ring anyway. I came back later to tell them I needed a refund for my ring because the work they did was not good and my ring looks worse than before. The man who I was dealing with was very rude telling me that there's nothing they could do since the ring had to be flattened out to fix it anyway. I told them they should have explained that to me when I dropped it off before they did any work and I wouldn't have left it. I showed him how messed up my ring was and he took it from me and started to try and "fix it" by hitting it on the resizer. I told him not to touch my ring anymore and took it back and he proceeded to get mad at me for taking it back after I explained that I don't want them touching it since they already left looking absolutely horrible. This was a horrible experience and I hope no one takes their jewelry to them, they are extremely unprofessional. read more

I always shop here, and have a great relationship with Jamie, the owner. When he gets special stuff in that he knows I may like, he puts it back for me and lets me know. Also, his repair guy, Rockie, can do ANYTHING! He has rebuilt my wedding ring for me, in addition to making a ring from scratch that I found in Jamie's inventory but it was in white gold which I do not wear. I offered to buy the ring if Rockie could remake it for me in yellow gold. He did, and it came out fabulous!! Jamie is also not above giving me a good deal once in a while, and I have always found him a great person to deal with. read more

Horrible experience. I had my wedding band sized up to a half size bigger. I came to pick it up, the jeweler took it upon himself to change the look of my ring!!!!! It is an 18k gold flat ring, pipe style satin finish - to a dome edge and glossy look!!!!!! He curved the edges, my heart sunk when it saw it, I was in distress belief. I asked him why did he do that?? he didn't know what to say he said well I have lots of work and I follow what the receipt says, I said it doesn't say change the look of my ring, just size up a half size! I was so sad, I spent a lot of money on it and he ruined it. I came the next day to pick it up and the jeweler said he will correct it... by the way they have to shave off more gold off the ring which thins it, to get it where it was somewhat...Jamie was very very rude about it, I told how unhappy I was he said this is America go where you want, (He doesn't care about you as a person). I said I didn't feel it worth paying for an unprofessional work and ruining my ring even though trying to correct it, it doesn't look the same anymore. He got mad yelled tried to grab the ring out of my had and saying we did work pay me!!! I pay for this craftsman, this building! he insulted me by cussing at me all the while I'm with my wife. Me and my husband had always wanted to go check this place out, and finally got to this last weekend on November 27th. It was my birthday, and my husband wanted to buy me something. So we walked the st. Fair, as well as checked out what they had here. We were their for a good 10 minutes or more, and not one person asked us if they could help us or anything. Well guess their loss because even though they seemed to assume my husband maybe couldn't afford anything they should've asked. Not the first busines we've been to with this treatment. My wedding ring had to be cut off my finger because of arthritis and I needed someone to fix it and I now needed it adjustable. They did a outstanding job of not only fixing it but they MADE a part that will allow my ring to open up and come off (for cleaning, etc) I am very satisfied !! The owner jaime and his wife are beautiful people and are always warm and welcoming. The staff is friendly and helpful. My husband and I bought both our wedding rings from Jewelry Connection and we love our pieces. If I ever need repairs or just want to add to my collection this is my go to place. If you ever have old jewelry you want to move on from they buy and sell used jewelry so its a great place to go to move on from old pieces and find beautiful antique additions. This jewelry shop looked like it had the potential to be a great place to find vintage pieces and a nice local shop to get rings sized, watch batteries and any other jewelry fixing needs one might have. The unfortunate part is that I wasn't able to see if this store was capable of any of this. When my wife and I walked in there was a man vacuuming who didn't look up to see us and then a woman who glanced up at us and said nothing. I thought maybe they had a cleaning emergency and decided to browse more with my wife to give them a chance to be welcoming. Another couple (young) walked in and they ignored them as well. At one point with her back to us the women said something, maybe to us, but it was unintelligible. The woman stared hard at us a couple of times, still saying nothing and not approaching us even an inch. Then an older heterosexual couple walked in. The woman immediately walked across the store to greet them. The man soon joined her. My wife and i were left with no help. We wanted to actually purchase something and get an estimate to fix the prongs in her current ring. The younger couple was also ignored. My only thought is that these two older store owners are both homophobic and uninterested in helping customers who don't look like they have money to spend. I was disgusted by these people. Be homophobic on your own personal time, but when you have a store leave that shit at home. I plan on walking in this place another time to tell this lady to her face what a horrible store owner she is. read more

My daughter was visiting from Boston and, to celebrate a recent bonus from her employer, we decided to purchase a nice vintage watch from this store. It cost approximately $280. It was purchased on April 14, 2016. After she returned to Boston, and wearing it for 2 days, the crystal and hands fell off. Because she was now in Boston, she found a local place (Sears jewelry repair) that would fix it for $35. So, she decided to pay that herself since it seemed like a reasonable cost and wouldn't need to involve the Jewelry Connection. After getting the watch back, the hands were not aligned correctly. She returned to Sears Jewelry again to get the hands realigned. When it was returned, it would not wind and would no longer keep time (not ticking). My daughter mailed the watch back to me, here in Fallbrook, and said she'd given up on getting it to work (and would like to get a refund, or store credit). I went into the store on June 17th, 2016, explained what had happened. I spoke to the jeweler (and I assume the owner, Jamie) and he said I had exceeded the 30 day return policy. He also suggested that my daughter likely damaged it while wearing it. He finally emphasized that "he wouldn't touch it after somebody else had touched it". As someone who has worked in the Fallbrook area for quite some time, and now lives here, this cold, indifferent, callous response to this situation isn't something I have encountered with the other businesses in this community. There was no offer of store credit, no willingness to try to fix it, or "make good" in any fashion. No sympathy, and just not nice overall. My advice is to exercise a healthy dose of "Caveat emptor" if you do make a purchase from this proprietor, as there is no recourse or exceptions granted once you exceed the 30 day return policy. read more

Finally a lady helps her but is then told we close at 7 pm and told my wife she has to leave. WTF. Your doors are OPENED!!!! If you are going to close at 7 pm. Amazing service and prices! I was shopping for an engagement ring and thought a local place would be expensive, boy was I wrong! Robbins brothers wanted a ridiculous amount for a ring and then I found out it didn't include the stone! The other jewelry store chains were very expensive and insisted I use all of the money I had saved for a ring as a down payment and finance the rest. After explaining multiple times that I didn't want to finance they wouldn't take no for an answer. I decided to give the Jewelry Connection a go and I am so glad I did. I explained exactly what I wanted, Jamie opened a book and pointed the perfect ring. He had the stone in stock and ordered the setting. He called me as soon as it arrived and I had the chance to look at it before the stone was set. The ring is perfect! I got the size a little wrong.. This little ma and pa store was a place I used to really like going to. It has some unique pieces and in my spare time when I was in the area I would go in and spend several hundred dollars but not ANY more. I spent approx $600 one day and put it on layaway. Paid it off in 4-5 months. One of the necklaces I bought did not fit the way I liked so the nice lady Carolyn agreed to have the jeweler repair it. She even put it on the invoice. Very nice of her. Unfortunately, they are not open on Sunday and Sunday is the only day I am in Fallbrook. It took me several months to pick up my items. When I got there it was not fixed so I showed them where it needed to be fixed and that I would pick it up in a few weeks. Well it took me another month to get back there. No big deal right??? The jewelry was paid for. Is storage an issue??? When I went back I was not happy with the way it was done so I tried it on and they were just so rude about it. The owner, OWNER of the store gave me a look of pure disgust when I told him to take a few more loops out so it would fit nice on my neck. He said he was sick of looking at this jewelry and that no where did it say it was supposed to be fixed for free. EXCUSE ME!!! I spent $600 that day, whether it was cash or layaway, and the lady who helped me was nice enough to give me a repair and YOU have the audacity to call me a liar and cheapskate??? I asked him how much was the repair that I would pay , just to prove it wasnt the money it was the principle and he finally calmed down. He never really apologized for their rudeness and I felt like I was being discriminated against. This conduct especially from the owner is really bad business. Fallbrook is a small town. I will tell everyone I know about how bad of an experience I had and it will make a difference. Went in today as I had 2 pair of gold earings that I wanted to do an exhange for a new pair. Man behind the desk was not very pleasant. He appraised my earings and send me to a lady who kept opening the cabinet and closing it instead of bringing earings to the counter for me to see. They had NADA .Not even the book they brought out.
