However, there is a large car park only a few minutes walk away. The restaurant is a mix of modern and traditional. Exceptional value - normally 1/2 price during the week. There are discounts for takeaways if you collect. If you like something spicy go for chicken tikka chilli garlic (not on the menu but they happily do it). Lovely garlic nan bread also, and sag bhaji. I have eaten in Indian restaurants throughout the UK and this is still my favourite. Highly recommended.

The food was still ok no horror story's but not as good as before, all 3 of our curries tasted pretty much the same and we're lacking any kind of x factor. Same with the service ok but nothing special. Overall pretty disappointing experience considering it's former glory. I'm sure it's been taken over as now the menu strangely offers dishes not just from India but also china and Malaysia among other places, some may embrace this but I go to an Indian restaurant for specialist Indian cuisine not a jack of all trades menu. Still worth a visit but no longer the best!

For me the coffee has just the right strength bean which makes for a nice light and smooth coffee although I have to admit that for some it's not as strong as they would like. They also serve Soft & Alcoholic drinks including as you would expect some imported items from Portugal. As well as the thirst quenchers you can also satisfy your stomach with a full and varied menu of both classic English and authentic Portuguese fayre, not to mention the cafe's very own Bakery which serves fresh bread and Pastries etc. There is also a shop attached to the Cafe where you can pick up all kinds of imported portuguese treats includund specialist Chorizo Sausages (also for some spanish items as often the difference is just the name on the brand label) Handy if your after a bottle of wine or Port to go with your meal and the off licence is not open! I have always found the quality of the food and the portion size here very good although not the cheapest I have to admit. (Ask for the Creme Caramel !) There is usually some live sports match or something news based on the tv too which can add to the Iberian atmosphere although it is obviously in Portuguese!! The staff are also very good, and if you take the oportunity to get to know them just a little then you'll find them quite chatty and welcoming. Overall I highly recommend this nice little coffee Shop, in fact I wish i could be there now myself!!

It's still a good old British pub through and through regardless and our visit here was a pleasant one. I was here due to being part of a large wedding group, and while my experience of British pubs is always that they are busy, I think our large party may have been a little too much for them so while I'm going to state my experience it may not always be like this, and regardless it's still a good pub with a reasonable selection of beer and a decent food selection too. The problem we had was they just weren't well setup for a large group like us. The table setup was such that we were literally squeezing past them to get to large rows of seats, and this happened constantly as people needed to order food, drinks take bathroom breaks etc. On top of this the service was slow and a number of us (thankfully not the bride and groom) including me had to wait a long time for our food and then ask for it. When it came out it was overdone like they cooked it in a hurry. Overall the impression I got from most was the food was pretty good, so I'm sure that's more the norm. I'd definitely give it another try when not in a large party situation, and certainly would say it's a good place in general to get some good English food and drink.
