I've been living here for almost 6 months and still have a temporary refrigerator. The lights in the living room do not work as well with my bedroom. I placed a work order in about a month ago. Work Orders must be placed in the trash after residents send them in. They have two maintenance guys who work hard but I think they need to hire a larger team. To top it off, the housing portal is not an easy process. This system of paying utility bills is an extra 19.95 per payment. The portal also does not work most of the time. DO NOT LIVE HERE. Unless you like having your lease agreement not upheld by the company providing you the apartment, this place is a no go. read more

Absolute worst place to live I literally downloaded yelp just to say screw this place

Not worth the almost $900 a month I spent living here. Yes base rent was $839 but then they gouge you with all these other charges. And on top of it I was stuck in a bullying and harassment of many different kinds situation involving two of my roommates at the time and instead of letting me out of my lease or offering me some sort of way to make me feel safe in my own apartment, they break the confidentiality between myself and the person I spoke to by telling these roommates everything I said and claiming that speaking to them would make everything better. It did not and it made it worse. So while I wasted $5000 this past semester since I no longer felt safe enough to live there, I was frantically trying to get someone to relet my apartment because god forbid they do anything to protect their tenants. Do whatever you can to not move in here. They do not care about their tenets. in addition to that everything is cheaply constructed and made. The room i was paying for had cracks running across the ceiling and holes in the walls. Nothing was clean when I moved in and our stove barely worked. Yes it looks pretty and nice on the website but don't let them fool you they will gouge you for any money possible. read more

I've only lived there the 19-20 school year, ending in having to move back to CA and still have to pay rent when i'm not there, which i understand because of the lease. In terms of quantity for quality, I've paid less for a student dorm with more rooms and a shitty couch. This place should decrease their prices. Yes it's an okay building, but not in a very nice area. I've had several instances where drunk homeless guys have sat on my steps, talking loudly with huge bottles of alcohol and then just leaving their trash. I lived on the ground floor close to the street and its nice to just walk out and go to class, but you don't expect the locals to be sitting around and hanging, making you uncomfortable to walk outside. Also, I am not from Flagstaff originally and I have a 10 month long lease, which extends the academic year. I think that sucks because if you want to leave before the lease ends, you yourself have to find someone to fill the spot, but no one responds or is interested because of the awful reviews, high prices, and bad management. The office should give options for the number of months. I now, have to find someone to fill my spot from CA, but no one wants to live there and my family cannot pay $1600 extra for a room i'm not even living in. My last apartment while in school gave options for students rather than just give them a 10 month long lease without the consent of parents who are mostly the ones paying. The school year is not 10 months long. You should make the leases only the length of the school year and consider that not many people end up wanting to live there again after their first experience. Making the leases short and school year length saves students money and they don't end up wasting it on a expensive 1 stared apartment. read more

I could not say enough how bad this place is. I pay $800 a month for quality that I shouldn't even have to pay for, as well as they are raising their prices after this year and the quality isn't getting any better. My lights never work and there has just been issue on top of issue. Maintenance sucks and does not come when they say they are going to be there and then expect you to be there when they give you less than an hours notice. No one in the front actually listens to the issues you are having and instead just place work orders that are never satisfied. The floors and the walls are warped and not straight at all. Also the website you place work orders in as well as pay rent is a complete mess and does not work half of the time. The one good thing about this place is that the main manager is very helpful but there is only so much she can do. read more

Just a bad experience overall. Lived here in the 2020-2021 academic year. The apartment is extremely expensive, which would be fine for the flagstaff area...if it was worth it, but i ended up paying almost 1000$ for the cheapest room. The apartment amenities were closed most of the year due to COVID-19 and we were still charged all amenity fees. Parking was outrageous....if you even got a spot. Oh and parking was an extra fee on top of rent, not even included. We didn't because the construction team didn't even build enough parking spots for all the tenants. We had to park in a student lot a half mile away. The rooms, for their price, were cheaply made and horribly built, with doors being too small for their frames and poor workmanship, like the build the apartment in a hurry. On top of that, there were often bodily fluids on the elevators and nasal waste smeared on the hallways, even in our apartment. Told management about the urine on the elevator once and for a week after, i eventually saw it just dry up on the elevator floor after going back and forth to class each day. Be weary about who you're next to as well, as the walls may not dampen noise from your neighbors very much. I would probably advise people to pick anywhere else to live in flagstaff. read more

I know there's been a lot of maintenance and other issues from this complex but I live in a studio and I've never had a serious issue. I've actually the best experience here in regardless to my apartment and interaction with the staff. The few issues I've had (lightbulbs needing replacements, sink drain didn't work) the maintenance crew fixed it within the day. They even followed up a few times to make sure everything was okay. I'm not giving it 5 stars due to the residents themselves who don't keep the place clean. I'm sure the custodial crew work hard but pool deck and hallways always look like a mess. read more

Moved in when they first opened. Most all residents are NAU students. The location is walkable to campus & downtown. On cold days or if your classes are across campus, the bus stop is right at the front door. There's some covered parking, mostly tandem spots but don't need the car much anyway. Amenities are nice especially when I needed a computer when my laptop crashed during finals no less. Recently, I needed assistance in the middle of the night. Big Shout Out to Caitlin G who stayed with me with the assistance of Ana and resolved the issue. Thank you to them for sure! I hope the American Campus Communities recognizes them for going above & beyond. Staff are friendly and helpful. They put on events such as Taco Tuesdays from time to time helping relieve the stress of studies. The walls are thin and the residents can be somewhat active at all hours but I've lived at other apartments like Fremont Station and they are all similar. Of all the places I've lived, I recommend The Jack for their friendly staff, location and amenities. Oh, did I mention, the elevator needs a key which is an added layer of safety and a bit more peace of mind for parents. read more

This place seriously is complete bullshit lol. I paid $830 a month for a one bedroom one bathroom and I've had so many issues with this apartment complex. The staff is super disorganized and horrible to their tenants. They only care about their profit and their money. If the parking garage caught your eye, don't get excited because the parking garage is always 100% filled and makes you share a space with 2 cars. I've had to park numerous places downtown and have gotten many parking tickets because there's seriously no parking around here. Also, the study room area has had no working printers for almost the whole year. These people are making 50 grand off my apartment alone since 5 of us live here, and they rented out my room for next year right underneath me 4 months before my lease is even up! They told me the new guy who's taking over my lease wanted a window and can't move him into any other room, even though I've known my roommates for 2 years. I hope the office also told him my window view is of the ac units!! I can't believe they have this many bad reviews and change nothing. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars, except for most of the hardworking maintenance workers, who were honestly the best part of living at the Hub. I was so excited to live here after spending a year in dorms on NAU campus, but from 1 day it was hell. After paying an extremely overpriced "installment" (not prorated) for a month where I moved in in the 21st, I was told I wouldn't have to pay rent for the last month I lived there, since move out was on the 31st. Of course I didn't know that the monthly payments you make aren't for "rent", they're the "installments" due, where they take the entire rent for your entire lease and divide it by how many months your lease is for. So, I paid the Hub 13 months of installments while only getting to live there for 11. Move in day was extremely uncoordinated, as every single resident was supposed to move in on the same day. We had time slots of about 2 hours to move in, but that quickly wasted away as it took over 3 hours to get through the line of people waiting to "finish filling out paperwork" before they could get their keys to move in. After finally getting my keys and heading up to my floor I noticed there was a carpet tile that felt like it was crumbling, and took note not to step on it every day. It wasn't fixed until the last two days of my lease (and most everyone else's), when they blocked off the entire hallway leading to the elevator to have someone look at it. This hallway was blocked off all of the 31st, and there were only people actively working on it for about an hour. This left me with the choice of either having to walk all the way around the giant, horribly designed, maze-like building with all my boxes and belongings, or going down a flight of stairs and using their elevator to make it to the parking garage. The floors (and walls) of every apartment are extremely thin, so I was able to hear my upstairs neighbors walking around every day and music through the walls AND floors at all hours of the day. I'm just lucky I wasn't put in one of the many apartments surrounding the pool deck/parking garage, because there were constant parties, even when it was snowing or finals week. All the appliances installed are extremely cheap, they definitely spent most of the money they had on the TV's and couches. The entire place was falling apart even though I was the very first resident in that 2 bed 2 bath, since the building was just built! Surprisingly, one of the ceiling lights in the kitchen randomly exploded, wires hanging down still attached to the light. When I sent in a maintenance request it took at least a week for them to come and take a look at it... Even though there were live wires dangling down. The entire building was just always falling apart so the employees were stretched thin and took a long time to do anything. The windows open about 3 inches before a security bar keeps you from opening it any more. The walk in closets are about 3x3, so you could stand in there but not much else. There weren't any A/C vents in the master bedroom, and there was very little air flow if the ceiling fan isn't on. In the living room, there were 3 large lights on the ceiling and if I turned them on while having the TV on they would blow the fuse for the entire living room. Just don't live here. read more
