Poor customer care when handling genuine complaints, manager rarely there when needed, was told he "is constantly late for his shift" I once waited 3 hours for him to arrive, he never did, bar tender said he's always late. Fire the man, stop hiring your family members when you own the place, if you the manager own the place, hire a real manager or allow your staff to call you without being punished. She said she could not call you, you are a coward sir. read more

We very much enjoyed our experience here. I played pool on a Saturday night with my husband and another couple. The rate for a table was reasonable ($7/hour) especially for a Saturday night. We arrived a little early (at 8pm) and beat the rush. There were plenty of tables and plenty of space between the tables to play without being interrupted. The beer selection was meh. However, I realize my level of expectation for a beer selection is high. They had all the watery basics: Bud, Miller, etc. on tap. They also had Guinness and Killians in bottles. That was the saving grace for me. Even though those are not my typical beers (too flavorless) they are good stand-bys. The service was excellent. Very attentive waitress kept our beers full. We did not eat there. The pool game was excellent. The table was well-maintained. The cues were also fine. It's always good to bring your own if you are serious though. P.S. Love the name. The Ivory Room sounds so very "old Detroit". read more

For a night out playing pool, darts, etc. This isn't a bad place. There was plenty of room, and the prices weren't bad (though admittedly I didn't pay for the pool table, our friends did. We picked up the pitcher of beer). Nice thing was nobody bothered you there, and aside for some odd musical choices it was pretty laid back. It was a bit smoky, but less so than some other of the same types of establishments. That will all change in May 2010! read more

Used to be a cool place but went down hill. Outside and inside was very ghetto. They had to check for weapons at the door...really? Music was terrible. Kept changing genres and flipping between local radio and someone's playlist. Drinks were strong though. Could benefit from live music or touch tunes box. read more

This place really is terrible. The servers are incredibly slow, the tables are in poor condition and way too close together. The crowd sucks. And now let me get into the music.. sometimes it's country sometimes it's rap sometimes is screaming metal. But tonight me and my friend went and they were playing a thunder storm over the speakers that cut to a rap song every ten seconds, then back to the storm audio. This went on for 5 minutes. This is a fun place to hang. Not too expensive for food or drinks. The wait staff is a bit slow when they are busy. Drink and food orders take a while (30-45mins.) when they are busy. Food tastes good when it comes out. read more

I visited the Ivory Room for the first time this weekend with my lady. Had a good time. Cheap tables ($6.95/hr + $1.00 for each additional person), good drinks and nice music. Food was okay. I had the chicken fingers and we split an order of seasoned fries. They didn't have honey mustard, which was disappointing, but the ranch and bbq sauce did the job. The chicken fingers were a bit over-cooked and the fries were salty, but hey...no real complaints! I would visit again. The price was right and the drinks were good. read more

I used to frequent this place with my friends but will no longer be a customer due to the unprofessionalism of one of their bartenders. I wish I knew her name so I could write a formal complaint to the manager because this chick is completely out of line. She is usually there when I go and has always been rude, rolls her eyes, very slow with her service and always on her phone. Last night I met up with a friend of mine there and we were sitting at one of the tables away from the bar. Out of nowhere, this bartender walks to are table and literally starts berating my friend because someone who works at Renegades brought up this bartender months ago and my friend was saying how horrible and nasty she is to customers. This girl was screaming at my friend while on the job and said she will not wait on her anymore and that she needs to keep her name out of her mouth. Mind you we were nowhere near this girl, we don't even know her name, we were nowhere near her section, yet she went completely out of her way to yell at us. Completely unprofessional and childish, didn't realize we were still in high school. If you don't want to wait on someone, you simply ask a coworker to take care of them, do not cause a scene at your place of employment. I thought that was a no-brainer but I guess this chick doesn't have one. We will not be customers as long as this rude chick still works there, and I know my friend and I are not the only ones with this issue with her. read more

Prices are decent but the music is so 80s. Anytime anything made in the 2000s or last 5 years came over the speakers, it would be changed to something older then me and slow. Took over 30 minutes to get a mixed drinks but the waitress was nice. Tables are old and could use some tlc. read more

Whenever me and the guys are looking for a pretty fun and simple night out, this is our go to place. With a rate of $7 and hour per table, its not bad. You've got plenty of space to play without interrupting anyone else game, and the food they have their is exceptionally great, especially on 20 cent wing Wednesdays. One of the few billiard rooms I know of, this one is the best by far. read more

Everytime I go there I get upset. I only go there for my pool league and refuse to spend a dime there. You can never get what you want/ask for, because they have to bring it to you their way. 95% of the time when you order a burger its never right. Example.. Ordered a pitcher of pop withoutice and then a pitcher of ice( Cant stand the watered down pop). Didnt even tell me they couldnt do that just brought a pitcher of pop with Ice in it.. Wow guess theres a associates degree required to work there huh? Never had good service and dont expect to have any. The only good food is from the restaurant next door which you get charged more for if you order it throgh the ivory room. read more
