The Guinness family is responsible for not only creating a pretty amazing drink, but for also creating the Iveagh Trust. The great grandson of Albert Guinness (the founder of Guinness in case you didn't see those 250 years celebration ads everywhere), Edward Guinness, built housing for what he called the 'working poor' at the turn of the 20th century. The houses still exist today and the Iveagh Trust is now a charity that works with both the Dublin City Council and the Homeless Agency to address the issue associated with homelessness and other housing issues in Dublin today.
