Timing is definitely everything when coming here. Plan to wait several hours if you arrive anytime after 7pm, especially on a weekend. My friends and I went on a Wednesday evening around 5:30pm. We literally waited less than 20 minutes! We got to take several pictures and enjoy the scenery. Once you sign the e-waiver, you are immediately taken to play carnival games. There are 3 games: the water gun game, hacky-sack target throwing game, and the ring toss. You have one chance to win on each game. If you're a winner, you'll receive a red ticket which gets you a chance to spin the big wheel of prizes. I ended up winning a pretty cool poster. After all the fun and games, you and your group are taken into the fun house. There's a narrator/guide who takes you into each room. Be ready for an amazing, thrilling and frightening experience. I don't want to spoil anymore for you guys. You'll have to check this experience out for yourselves. I highly recommend the IT Chapter 2 Experience, especially if you love getting a good scare.

The IT experience is advertised as a 40 minute experience where you get to indulge yourself in different themes to the new upcoming movie. Unfortunately the experience itself is more about 20 minutes at most. & that isn't count the 2 hours I waited in line prior to getting in. This is me also having reservation tickets for 7pm. The line barely moves and it's a slow process and I originally thought it took so long as each experience took about 40 minutes, however; that wasn't my experience. You start off by being placed into groups and you have a guide or ring leader or whatever he referred to himself as. He goes and lead you to the carnival area which is set up with 3 games you are allowed to play and win tickets to spin for a prize at the end. They have a Ferris wheel but it is definitely for show as no one is actually allowed to ride it. There are a few photo ops in this area that you can sneak in, but everything is kind of rushed as you must stay with the group to get through the experience. Once entering PennyWise mouth (without giving away any details) you are guided through with your guide to the very end moving room to room together. It was a good experience as you didn't run into the previous crowds as they time it in intervals. It's not as immersive as they made it out to be for my taste. Photos and recordings are encouraged as long as there is no flash. At the end, you are taken to a souvenir gift shop booth that only accepts card. Everything I wanted was unfortunately sold out. They did have a cool rain jacket that I liked that I might get today as I have another reservation. If you earned tickets you get to spin for a prize, but all the big prizes that you would actually want are already sold out. (IMAX tickets, gift card to sushi restaurant, etc..) you'll probably win a poster or one pack of popsecrets popcorn. The staff/security however, are great. I wasn't feeling well waiting in line. And I'm not sure if it was my claustrophobia or low blood sugar, but I started getting seriously clammy and faint. One security guard went and got me water and reassured me if I need anymore, to not hesitate and ask. I sat for a bit in the bathroom to collect myself as their portapotty trailer bathroom has stalls and air conditioning as my best friend held our place in line. After feeling a bit better, I joined her back in line as within five minutes I started feeling ill again. This female security went and got me water and stayed with me until I moved to be sectioned off into the group to make sure I was okay. She even offered to call the paramedics, as they have them present along with police if needed. She let me know that they have medication and other things to help if I wasn't feeling well. But I really didn't want to lose my spot after waiting 2 hours. lol Rickia was her name. She was definitely helpful to me. Anyways the experience is an experience and I normally wouldn't want to experience it again, however, I'm going today with my hubby, and tomorrow with my other best friend. So different experiences with different people. I think if you do come at the right time, you won't have to wait long but you have to time it correctly. I parked in a parking structure down the way that was $10. And they have street dogs and a taco stand on the corner for your hunger needs. I'm not sure about the taco man, but the dirty dogs lady accepted card and Venmo lol they're moving up in the world

An extremely popular FREE pop-up funhouse to promote the launch of IT: Chapter 2. They have a reservation system on their website or you can show up for the standby line. This activation is on par with the detail and and design of the first pop-up that was the Neibolt House. This activation lasted a bit longer, approx 40min to get thru everything. They have carnival games in the waiting area that give you tickets for free stuff at the end via a spin wheel. The concept is built around the movies carnival so half of the walk thru are rooms from the movie and half are funhouse type rooms. 10 rooms in total. Our group had a great time and would recommend to friends in the area to try. Disclaimer: we did not have to wait in line, so not sure how long I'd wait in que before that effected my overall experience.

The tickets were sold out so you either had two options. First option would be to wait 5 hours depending on day and time which was an option for tonight on a Sunday being the last day as well. Second option is to buy imax tickets for the show that night and you skip the "line" in which we waited two hours. It wraps around the entire block. The Toomer Security team kept telling people to go on Facebook to give them a good review. Some guards were rude while some were friendly. The reason why it is so long is because they go in groups and they wait for one group to play three games in which you have to as they bring you there before entering the funhouse. The funhouse itself is guided and goes in groups of about 15. You go through rooms and get scared and it's fun and interactive overall. If you win the games you get a red ticket and at the end you get to pick a gift of a poster or popcorn.

It's a free event, so a long line is understandable -- just something to plan for. The overall vibe inside was fun and worth checking out if you've got the patience. My only suggestion would be for them to open more than just four days in October. That would help spread out the crowds and make it easier for more people to enjoy the experience without such a long wait.

This was my first haunted house I've ever done, and I don't like being scared. It is the perfect intro to haunted houses for someone like myself who is a scaredy cat - it was light on gore and very brief which made it manageable to walk through. There was a bit of a line, but it moved quite fast. The haunted house is built on their front yard (amazing), so you will get through it quite quickly. It is free, which is incredible for the amount of work that goes into it. However! There is a box where you can leave donations, and all proceeds go to Volunteers of the Burbank Animal Shelter. Everyone who was working the haunt was so friendly, with fantastic themed costumes to boot. Absolutely wonderful vibes all around! They deserve no tricks and ALL the treats!

(4) For Platinum Skip The Line (literally walk right up to the front of the Hayride & each maze), it's $135 per person ($47 + $88 fees). Whatever entry ticket you choose, they're going to add $3 if you choose to ride the Hayride between 7PM-11PM (event closes at midnight on the weekends, earlier on weekdays). Each guest is required to sign a waiver before entry. Add-ons include: (1) Midnight Falls Axe Throwing - $7 for 5 axe throws. (2) Premium Parking - $25 for parking at the Merry-Go-Round lot. (3) Free parking - park at the L.A. Zoo and a free shuttle will take you to & from the event. My wife and I scored free General Admission tickets from Long Beach's Midsummer Scream so that was a breeze. Since we're not psychotic, we opted for the free parking at the zoo. Plenty of bus shuttles coming/going with lots of room to cram everyone for the short ride to the event. After arrival, you have to walk downhill through the dirt to get to the entrance. Fyi - the whole place is dirt, so wear closed shoes (preferably not your favorite) and be prepared to thoroughly clean them the next morning. We hit the Hayride first and walked right through the back to wait in line for 5 minutes. Scare actors interact with everyone waiting to get your blood pumping. Don't know how long the actual Hayride was, but it was pretty lengthy with lots of different sections/scenes to see. Honestly not too shabby! Only complaint is that you're seated at the sides of the wagon, so you're going to be awkwardly turned the entire time. Doesn't matter which side you're on as the scares are on both (even above!). There are 3 mazes and we went through them all. Monae Manor had a big line to get in but it was like 20 minutes so not too bad. It was by far the best one out of the trio. Hillbilly Halloween was the furthest from the others and had the shortest line. It was also a pretty fast walkthrough - meh. Elvira's Trick or Treat Mayhem had the longest line but moved along at a decent pace. It was ok, but there was a weird part where you walk through like a heavy tarp and scare actors are pushing on both sides to get you disoriented like you're being swallowed. If you're claustrophobic, you might want to skip this one. We had our fill with good eats - lots of options to choose from. Had a slice of supreme pizza from The Wicked Oven ($12). Wifey got a burger, fries and drink from Carnivore Kitchen ($23). We shared an apple cider topped with a cider donut from the Midnight Falls Cider Mill ($15). We shared a Sonoran Hot Dog from Nightmare in Nogales ($19). We grabbed a sleeve of Ghoul Scout Cookies from Fresh Baked Cookies ($11) for the ride home. The apple cider and cookies were the best from what we tried. Though expensive, we had a blast at the 2025 L.A. Haunted Hayride and wouldn't mind coming back next year. Lots of photo ops all over the place, lots of scare actors throughout (some with chainsaws), and a ridiculous amount of strobe lights & fog machines. The event is what you make of it and how much you're willing to spend. Paying for parking is insane and the VIP/Platinum passes aren't worth it as you'll still have to wait in line no matter what (just a little shorter). It probably won't be worth going too late as you won't get to do everything - we went at 7PM when they opened, did everything (except the add-ons) and were back at the car by 11:30PM. If you're prone to seizures, sadly this isn't for you. Website says it might be too intense for kids 12 and under, but there were plenty of little boils and ghouls running around so who knows. It's a dry event so absolutely no alcohol or smoking. No restrooms, just porta potties that have no lights inside so expect a dark sticky time. Take a shower when you get home and thoroughly blow your nose because you'll be dusty all up in there. Prices and experience may vary.

I'd describe it as an adult, haunted house, mystery theater, burlesque, nightclub party. It is definitely not for children (there was one room with completely naked performers) We thought House of Spirits was excellent. The space, decorations, costumes and especially the performers. They were really into their craft and interactive with guests. We also really enjoyed all the specialty cocktails. We went midday which was less expensive and thought it is was a good value for the experience. As there were significantly fewer attendees midday we had a far more interactive experience than if it were packed - which I feel would also have been fun but more in a nightclub/ party sort of way where you might interact with other attendees more. Although they had musical performances, it actually would be good for that one selected room to have music playing constantly -between performances- and a paid bar option -to lean things more to a party vibe. We did spend a hefty $34 (with tip) for 2 light pours of red wine in the lobby which I would not recommend. We would have happily paid for another specialty cocktail or two (but in the actual venue) not the lobby. We definitely recommend experiencing House of Spirits -especially with a small group of friends!
