Great selection-clothes, jewelry, decor and much more. Friendly staff. My new favorite boutique in FMB!

Born in the '30's to a family with Standard Oil money, educated in NY finishing schools, and a veteran of socially acceptable volunteer work - she eloped with another heir to wealth and moved to Florida in the late '50s. Spirited and creative, she made her own dresses with bright, Key West fabrics and became Palm Beach society's darling for fashionable resort wear. She incorporated and enjoyed her business heyday from the 1960s through the 1980s, when the company closed. The woman died in Palm Beach in 2012, but the corporation resurrected under two successive corporate owners who keep the signature, preppy look and its lofty pricing intact. I recall seeing photographs of Lilly Pulitzer regularly in the Palm Beach shiney sheets which reports on Florida's famous. Today, the almost fluorescent colors and instantly recognizable designs (without crass logo, btw - who needs logos when these clothes are like an Ivy League uniform?) are on the wish list of teenagers and college aged sorority girls alike. While Christmas shopping with a few parents, I was happily surprised by the dedication and enthusiasm of Coconut Mall staff. They offered their advice and even took time to model a few selections. They also said that although the boutique size of the Coconut Mall site is lovely, the floor space and store's inventory at Mall of America Tampa has to be visited for real fun.

I had been overseas for an extended time. The manager told me corporate set the rules not her. I went across the street to White House Black Market returned 2 items. They returned the items without comment and helped me purchase a few new items. I will not shop at Lily Pulitzer again but will happily continue to shop WHBM.

No kidding (receipt shown), I got two cute tops, a lovely 3/4 sleeve light weight aqua sweater with the white palm, and a very colorful skort for $100. I am quite impressed. Peggy was a delight to work with; very attentive. Store is very clean, neatly organized. An abundance of unique styles. I agree, a bit pricey, but nice to treat ourselves to something special once in awhile.

Totally agree with the Julia Roberts comment below! I entered the store with two friends. I was…read moreholding a shirt from the outside sales rack and was immediately greeted by a sales person. After trying it on and walking around the store I went to the checkout area. One sales person was checking out a customer. One was doing some paperwork and another was just straightening up things. Obviously standing there no one greeted me or questioned my presence. Not until I asked if I could check out did I get any service. My friend then stood by paper work person. No response. She moved to my line thinking she would be next. The sales person actually LEFT the checkout area after helping me! Ignoring my friend. I had to go over to her and get her attention. Very odd staff. Felt they were only attentive if you had an aura of money. Forgot to add my other friend would not buy anything in the store because earlier this month she was reprimanded by a staff member for taking a picture of a shirt she thought her mom would like but she is home bound and unable to shop. Sooo lost an almost certain sale that day!
