A person working there came up to us aggressively and very loud-friendly said "I'll take these to the register for you . My fella said that he didn't want me to see what he had (he'd chosen it for me) she just walked away . I could see her hovering around and thought it was strange....I then had picked up some tea towels that I decided to purchase, I was holding them in one hand and was talking to my guy and that same woman came up behind me and VERY aggressively snatched them out of my hand ...I didn't even see her coming ...I looked at my fella and said "let's get out of here" , he answered me with "Yeah this is weird" the lady then was walking toward me and I said to her "that was really rude". I said to my guy "As if we're going to steal anything" ....she then said , REALLY loudly, " OH NO!! I WAS JUST MAKING IT EASY FOR YOU TO SHOP !!!" We just left . This is a store that we had visited each time we come to Fort Myers Beach...it has changed owners, but we still have purchased several hundred dollars worth of merchandise there each and every year for many years, too bad that I won't be going back again.

Some are pretty upscale. It's super dog friendly. The Alter'd State store caught my eye the most bc there's three store front locations. On this side, I did see a Cheesecake Factory, Chinese Restaurant, boba shop, and gelato. If you drive to the other side they have an area of chain restaurants and other stores like Ross and Target. One other cute feature I saw was a dog fountain. Also two lit up photo opps lit up at night.

I had been overseas for an extended time. The manager told me corporate set the rules not her. I went across the street to White House Black Market returned 2 items. They returned the items without comment and helped me purchase a few new items. I will not shop at Lily Pulitzer again but will happily continue to shop WHBM.

After trying it on and walking around the store I went to the checkout area. One sales person was checking out a customer. One was doing some paperwork and another was just straightening up things. Obviously standing there no one greeted me or questioned my presence. Not until I asked if I could check out did I get any service. My friend then stood by paper work person. No response. She moved to my line thinking she would be next. The sales person actually LEFT the checkout area after helping me! Ignoring my friend. I had to go over to her and get her attention. Very odd staff. Felt they were only attentive if you had an aura of money. Forgot to add my other friend would not buy anything in the store because earlier this month she was reprimanded by a staff member for taking a picture of a shirt she thought her mom would like but she is home bound and unable to shop. Sooo lost an almost certain sale that day!
