I was greeted as I came into the store, and immediately noticed the huge selection of different brands and numbers of shoes along the far wall in the fitting area. Matt was an excellent employee who sized my feet using a pretty cool 3-D imaging machine that I had to stand on for about 5 seconds. The information was then sent to his handheld computer and, voila, it showed a 3-D view of my feet and a recommendation of shoe size taking into account length, width, and arch - pretty cool! Matt brought out 3 different brands of shoes for me to try on - Saucony, Karhu, and Brooks. Of the 3, I ended up buying the Brooks (Glycerin 23). They fit perfectly and it felt like I was walking on air. To be honest, I've always been a Brooks fan over the years and this shoe just reinforced my perception of what a great shoe they make. The price for these is on the upper side of the market (just under $200 with tax), but actually pretty competitive with other stores. Their store is located in the Bell Tower shopping mall and perpendicular across from Burntwood Tavern. They are locally owned and they expressed their appreciation for me shopping with them. If you're in need of a good pair of walking, hiking, or running shoes I recommend you check them out!

What impressed us most was her taking the time to make sure we got in the right shoe and we were comfortable with it. My wife tried on about four pairs and I tried on three before we finally bought our shoes. I can't say enough good things about Sophia and the way she took care of us. They say there are 75-90 vendors in there. To me, it is just a big store with a very wide variety of merchandise. From the outside, it looked a little dated. But once you step inside, it is awesome. I bought a dress, two pair of pants and a sweater here. There was a guy who was assisting me and I don't remember his name. He was helpful without being pushy and that is always appreciated by me. The quality of the clothes is pretty good. The prices are mostly pretty fair. I did notice a run in the pants I bought after I got home of course. They would gladly return or exchange them but I live too far away. I will get them altered near home. I just wish The Franklin Shops had a location near where I live. They have some fun and unique merch. The environment is pretty groovy too.
