I was also concerned that the driver was frequently distracted by his phone-making calls and texts, as well as scrolling-for much of the drive. It was a very disheartening experience, and I believe it could have been avoided if the driver had been more attentive. Based on this experience, I won't be using South Bend Taxi again. EDIT: I've read the owner's response and would like to clarify a few points. The accident occurred on an empty street around 5:30 AM with no traffic, and I was the one who contacted the police. We resumed our trip after the officer arrived and the police report was completed, as the officer said that an insurance claim couldn't be filed if the driver left prior to completion. I can't say I noticed if the neighborhood was "sketchy" as the response claims, but I'm also not certain I see how it's related to the incident. While I've had several successful rides with this company in the past, I've consistently observed drivers using their phones directly in hand, not via Bluetooth. Regarding reimbursement, I had not been informed of any prior to reading this reply; the owner simply asked me to reach out, and when I called, I received no response. Unfortunately, the company's reply seems to misrepresent the situation at certain points. I'll add a star to my rating because I appreciate the positive experiences I've had previously and can confirm that I've had good customer service in the past, but I remain concerned about the recurring inattentiveness I've witnessed while riding with this company

Priced at local RV dealers and it was twice what I could get directly from Lippert. Yeah, I know sounds good right? Ordered the part in 4/1 and was told it would ship out on 4/6 and should be to me 4/8-4/9 which worked out well because had a camping trip planned to leave on 4/12. Didn't receive a tracking number on 4/6 or 4/7 so called. Asked where the part was and was told basically "don't know, will to have email the warehouse for a status". This went on for several days with no answers. Finally shipped on 4/9 and May get by 4/12 or not. The main reason I was so frustrated is Lipperts customer service could not tell me where in the process my part was when was going to ship, or if warehouse had even received the order. In all 3 emails were sent to the warehouse and as far I was told and nobody got an answer back. At one point early in the process I asked to just cancel the order and was told couldn't do that because once ordered it had to go through. Sounds like a bunch of lazy people to me. They have such poor communication internally and with customers. Did some calling around and etrailer had the part and could overnight. So will go with them next time. When calling around I had more than one RV dealer tell me that if your an individual you fall in line behind the dealerships orders. Sounds like that's probably what happened and not the weather which was one excuse I got. When looked at the weather in Southbend it had been mild weather with a few cold days and no precipitation during any part of my order process. Lippert needs to update their communication systems and remember that even though they sell more to dealers the individual RV owners are their end customers. I'll pay a little mark up and go through another online supply house going forward.

And of course all those side men and women can come and go as they please. No points for them! Seniority doesn't matter because of this. Anytime someone doesn't get their way all they have to do is go up to the office and tell the person their sleeping with and it'll all be resolved for them. Safety is a complete joke. They have water leaks in the ceiling and park an electric lift and it's charger directly in the puddle. They haul propane tanks in a wooden crate and a box truck. There's a literally 2 inches of forklift brake dusk in the rafters and on the floor that you get to breathe all day. They dump radioactive laser dust in a ditch behind the building. They dump barrels of unknown substances behind the buildings. No one is trained to drive a forklift but everyone does. Weld smoke (known to cause cancer) fills up the shop in the winter time because the Latinos don't want to open the doors. There is no ventilation. There's no training on anything, so theyre literally handing people tools that they've never used before and telling them to go to work. They sell expired food in the break rooms and when the old man gets around to pulling it he puts it in a garbage bag and the cleaning lady takes it out to her truck to take home with her. The bathrooms are disgusting. There's literally poop spread on the walls of the stalls and it never gets cleaned off. Oh and if you use the office bathroom they'll put signs on the door telling you that their butt cheeks are better than yours. People go out on lunch and break and do drugs and alcohol and come back in working right next to their boss without a care in the world. Latinos there have fake documents and HR and everyone knows this. One manager there got a lot of Latinos hired In there, then come to find out he owns the houses that they are renting, so of course their jobs are secure. People bring food in to sell to the employees while on the clock. one time a lot of people got sick off that food and they still sold it the next week. Maintenance doesn't know what they're doing so a lot of times when they "fix" a machine it's more unsafe than it was before because they take safety equipment off machines so they don't have to fix it. Oh and then when they let you go, they screw you out of your vacation time that you EARNED over the last 10 years. Favoritism is rampant. There are no core values. Honesty will get you fired. If you even apply here then you deserve everything you get

Plus no coffee and lukewarm steam table offerings. Oats were clamy and clumpy. YUCK for free. The elevator has some strange potential hostage trapping issues. We kept using the musty stairwell. Usually I'm a tough nut to crack, but I was pleasantly surprised by my stay here!…read more I arrived late the evening of 3/29, close to midnight. There was no one at the front desk, but a sign that said "Assisting other customers". I didnt mind waiting, as it was super late and I realize the staff is probably minimal at that time. After a few minutes, a middle aged man with glasses emerged from down one of the halls to help me. He was very polite and helpful, answered all of my questions before handing me my room keys and bidding me farewell. I walked outside to gather my belongings, and I entered through the east door using my card with no problem. However when I got to my room, the keys I was given didn't work. I walked back down the hall to the front desk man again, who was quick to apologize and get me two keys which worked. Due to my last minute reservation and a full house, the only room that was available to me was a double queen handicap, Room 109. Walking in, my first thought was WOW! The room was beautiful and spacious, the decor comfortable and warm. There is a Keurig machine for your convenience w/ coffee cups provided, stacked atop a microwave and mini fridge. All amenities I wasn't expecting, as other hotels have led me to believe that having all three at once is just a mere fairytale. The beds were soft and very comfortable. I prefer a soft mattress as opposed to a firmer one, this bed reminded me of my own at home. Coupled with clean linens, its SLEEP FOR THE WIN! The bathroom was large and clean, I thought it was a nice touch adding Bath & Body Works brand products to their bathrooms. On my sink was a small shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, how nice! The water from the pipes ran piping hot to my preference. The only problem was the walk-in shower, which was a feature of our handicapped queen room. The design is flawed so in that water splashes all over the floor, making a wet puddly mess inevitable. We put towels down prior to our showers and by the time we finished all floor towels were completely saturated. Not a deal breaker for me, but I don't necessarily think it's safe for an older person as they could slip easily and fall. This morning I made my way down to the free continental breakfast, and boy were my expectations blown away! Not only did they have a great selection, but the food was actually GOOD (who would have thought I'd ever be saying that about hotel food?!). They had a DIY pancake station right next to piping hot Cinnabons, a DIY oatmeal station, both pork & Turkey sausage, biscuits & gravy, mini omelets, scrambled eggs. They had a toaster you could use to toast your bagels, muffins and (of course) toast. Three different kinds of cereals and cold Chobani yogurts. My only disappointment was the juice machine, whose contents were merely water by the time I came down to breakfast. I opted for the cranberry, it must've been the least favorite choice as it was all that was left. Lucky for me I'm a cranberry kinda gal! Housekeeping has been very helpful and attentive, I asked for more towels (bathroom mess) and was given a generous stack promptly with a friendly smile. All in all, I would definitely rest my head here again. The staff was overall very friendly and the amenities were top notch. I felt at home here, which I something I dont think I could say had I of stayed anywhere else. Thanks Holiday Inn Express! B)
