TLDR: GET YOUR TATTOOS FROM KAYLEE SHE IS INSANELY TALENTED AND PROFESSIONAL. Where do I even begin? Finding an artist you click with, who has a style you love, that you can put all of your trust in is such a difficult task. As someone who has accumulated quite a few tattoos from different artists, I can honestly say I never felt that I had found "the one" - the artist I knew I could stick with through all of my future ideas - the artist I would truly and quite literally let draw whatever creations they saw in their head on my body - until I met Kaylee. I have plenty of visible tattoos but the one I went to Kaylee for was going to be my most visible, most important piece yet - an ear tattoo. Having a tattoo basically on your face is a big deal, you know? I had no doubt in my mind that Kaylee could come up with something beautiful that would fit my anatomy perfectly, and I was SO right. Kaylee designed the piece right on my ear, making sure it looked as if it was always meant to be there. The attention to detail and the care that went into cutting out each piece of the stencil to make sure it laid on my ear correctly was nuts. Kaylee is a perfectionist and that is what you WANT when you are getting something permanently altered. The process of getting the tattoo itself was SO comfortable - I was actually shocked. I expected some pain, and obvious discomfort, but Kaylee's light-hand and immaculate natural talent made for one of my most comfortable sessions yet with no pain. Aside from having the most stellar ear tattoo now and a whole new level of confidence, I know I have found my artist for life and that is such an amazing feeling. Go see the queen, have a f*cking blast talking about anything and everything with her while she puts her incredible art on your body. Trust me, it'll change your life. (PS. Honestly be careful of this place. I started taking to Katie through email about 3 weeks ago about a tattoo, sent multiple pictures, my own drawing of what I wanted and explaining specific details, and photos of similar placement and size. She agreed we could do it and we'd agree on her design the day of. I Venmo'd her a $30 deposit to hold my appointment. The day of I get there and it is clear this girl is unprepared. she has drawn out 4 very very very basic shapes of what I'd asked for, completely disregarding the drawing I provided for specifics and details like very specific star details and shapes, etc. Biggest thing we come to a head on is we couldn't agree on size. After going round for a few mins she tells me she's not comfortable with the size I'm wanting because it won't look good that small in a year . Okay I get that it's your opinion and you don't feel comfortable but it's what I want. I totally get her saying no, it's her prerogative. If you don't feel comfortable doing that tattoo personally then let's just call it a loss for all involved and move on. But she won't refund the deposit, because I've taken her time for the day. Keep in mind that this girl has done 5% prep and reviewed practically nothing on our emails of what I'm wanting before I arrive. But I'm losing the deposit bc she won't have another appointment scheduled for that time. I totally get doing deposits in case of no shows etc so you don't completely lose your cost but when you're literally just telling me you aren't going to do what I want bc you're not comfortable, then you should be professional and apologize for the breakdown in communication and refund the deposit. I'm not saying this girl isn't a beautiful tattoo artist, I chose her bc I loved all of her work. But she is completely unprofessional, and you should just keep that in mind if you're booking with her, bc if she isn't comfortable doing what YOU are choosing to put on your body permanently, you aren't getting a tattoo and you're losing your money. She did offer to hold the deposit until I choose to get another tattoo with her, but honestly, would you feel comfortable getting a tattoo with someone who only feels comfortable with their ideas and not what you've asked? Also when I attempted to request the Venmo deposit back stating her own deposit policy on her Insta that literally says " deposit nonrefundable in the event of cancellation and no shows" of which this was neither, she denied the request and blocked me, which was very immature. Just be careful. She also requests when you Venmo her to just put a generic description(which I realize now is because otherwise you would put "tattoo deposit" and mark it as a goods and services transaction, which would mean she would HAVE to abide by a deposit return in situations like this bc Venmo would allow you to dispute it, that's sneaky). If you read a lot of their google reviews the not putting effort into their customer's appointments/communication seems to be a pattern. Just be cautious with this shop. read more

Wender's Work is fantastic, he was very patient with me and worked to get all the ideas I wanted together and with his vision and talent I am very pleased with the new tattoo I got. This tattoo was a cover-up and it looks amazing!!!! I will be going back to finish my sleeve and will without a doubt get more work done by him in the future. I got fucked over and you will be too apparently! Katie has been the worst artist I've ever almost worked with and I'm covered in tattoos (literally half of my body) by many artists from many cities and states. After reading other reviews here and her Instagram story today acknowledging that she recently has "had a lot of questions about her policies", my sentiment is clearly shared. She has been incredibly unprepared and unprofessional. She scheduled an appointment for me about a month out after taking several weeks emailing back and forth due to her extremely slow replies. Along the way she stated her hourly rate which is way higher than artists in the area I've worked with who have more experience and more of a positive reputation- and stated she "tattoos slowly" on top of that (yikes!). I show up the day of my appointment and wait 30+ minutes for her to show up. I finally reached out to her myself and she said she was sick and had emailed me to reschedule. An email I still have not received. Ironically, I had checked my email for some sort of confirmation or reminder the night before and morning of with my partner as other reputable artists I've worked with have reached out, and didn't have anything. Additionally- what artist does not collect phone numbers to text or call this kind of information? Get a Google Voice number at the very least. So after my 45 minute drive to her, 45 minute drive home, 30 minutes waiting I was out of 2 hours of my day. Of course I had blocked out my whole day for this appointment as well so I lost any money I could've made that day too. I reached out to get my deposit back due to breach of contract as per her FAQ a deposit is to hold an appointment day or time- she did not show up. If I rescheduled I would then of course be moved to the bottom of her waiting list due to Katie being booked out and my already limited availability, which as anyone knows is quite annoying since so many good artists are booked out sometimes 6+ months in advance. She states in her policy the deposit is for "emailing" (which she takes forever to do) and "art" (which I have yet to have proof she actually drew). She isn't and wasn't apologetic and went on blissfully posting Instagram videos making me question if she even was really sick. I work in a field where I too make an hourly wage after hours and hours of honing a skill as well (masters degree in mental health counseling). Just like she says about herself- I too am my own business. I too create my salary through hours worked. This person hurt my income through this process to protect her own. Furthermore her policies states that she can cancel your appointment for basically any reason at all and keep your money essentially. Who would work with someone with a policy like that? I know ANY of my clients would never agree to a policy like this. It makes me wary to ever provide a deposit ever again after being fucked over by this "professional". It is a bad look for the tattooist community. Lesson learned though- newer artists are not the move and if an artist your interested in has a short wait to get an appointment RUN- there's a reason. There are so many other artists in central florida to work with that exude professionalism at every turn, so don't waste your money here. read more
