I spoke with them by phone multiple times. This was a small wedding, 70 invited, with wedding Labor Day weekend, start of football, and lack of RSVPs, etc., as a corporate event planner myself, I prefer to have more than less, so catering was for 60 with agreement that leftovers would be packaged for us to divide between friends and family with clean up to be at 7PM. Attendance was around 25. When I arrived at reception i introduced myself in perso and confirmed the leftover plans. I was speaking with friends and was approached by a family member that the caterers had packed and left it was 5:30, people were returning for seconds/thirds, table was cleared, no food in kitchen. Reached out on Labor Day understanding holiday etc. I finally received a response yesterday that our contact is no longer with venue, no answer why they left ahead of schedule and did not notify me so we could parcel the leftovers. A lot of food went to waste and our money in the trash.

Interesting museum including exhibits on Greenwood history and other collections…read more Admission is free and the museum is kid friendly as well. The ground level features panels about Greenwood and South Carolina history, including local Native American history, early settlers, and history up until the early twentieth century. There's also a theatre, a dry goods store, and a hat shop, all which were neat to walk into and look around. There was also space up front that was empty at the time. Downstairs there is some more local and non-local history exhibits. Upstairs there was a display about Self Regional which had a variety of interesting medical items. There was also a room about gems and minerals, a mine (which was very cool to walk through!) and an animal exhibit. There was also an art exhibit featuring artwork from local elementary school students. I really enjoyed the exhibits specific to Greenwood history, but also felt like there was quite a bit of empty space. The museum has an elevator to access all three floors. Because we came in March, the railroad center wasn't open, but we hope to see that the next time we're in town.

JoAnn was professional and made us really feel like we were in good hands. All our worries were put to rest and she had answers for all of our questions. We are in no doubt that no matter what happens, our day will go off without a hitch. The wedding venue is all inclusive and priced VERY competitively. It is so nice to be able to just make 4 payments and show up on our wedding day knowing that everything from the DJ to the decorating is done.

The website was confusing as far as the hours, so I called to inquire and was able to make a reservation for that evening. When we arrived, we noticed that we were the youngest people by probably about 30 years. This is not me being an ageist whatsoever, and it didn't necessarily bother us, but we did get a few strange looks. The menu was extremely limited and not at all the "American (New)" cuisine it promises. We ended up getting the brussels sprouts which were overfried, and the burger because that's really all there was. I'm not sure if things changed because of COVID or what happened here, but this is not the place that was described in 2012 or 2016. I hate to post something so negative, but thought I'd give my beloved Yelp community the heads up here, so you're not blindsided like we were.

During our six-night stay, our trash was never emptied, toilet paper was not replaced, and dirty towels were not taken away or refreshed. Guests are expected to remove their own trash and place it along with used towels outside their door. To receive clean towels, toilet paper, or trash can liners, you must either catch a housekeeper while they are cleaning out a checked-out room or go down to the front desk to get supplies and towels. Do yourself a favor and choose the Hampton or the Fairfield that provides normal hotel services. Kindly note that early check-in is not accommodated, as the elderly male desk clerk rudely informed us official check-in time begins at 3pm.
