I usually go to the location on Pacheco/Wible so this was my first time at this location. This one is much nicer! It has more space so it also has more seating. I love how much consideration they put into decorating the place. Every table has really nice centerpieces and ordinarily I don't like faux plants but they add a nice touch to the place. I always get the Bako bowl because it has a little bit of everything. Really nice menu and they also make specialty coffee drinks now, a total one stop shop. I don't come as often as I'd like but always enjoy it.

We placed an order about 15 minutes before closing for two simple Gorilla bowls, and unfortunately,…read morethe experience was disappointing. The bowls came with large chunks of frozen açaí, which made it feel like very little effort had gone into preparing them. At $15 per bowl, I do expect a certain level of care, especially when the ingredients are pretty straightforward. I totally understand it was close to closing time, and I respect that the staff might have been winding down for the night. But if making orders that late compromises quality, it might be worth setting a clear cutoff time. Honestly, I would've appreciated someone saying, "We stop taking orders after this time," rather than receiving something that didn't reflect the usual standard. This isn't just about complaining--I really enjoy supporting local spots and want to see them do well. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future customers.

We tried the Orange Chicken, Chili Shrimp, Vegetable Kimbap, Beef Kimbap, Tteokbokki, Seafood Ramen, Yaki Mandu, and three different boba drinks -- Ube, Mango, and Strawberry. The Orange Chicken had a nice sweet and savory flavor, while the Chili Shrimp had a delicious kick. I especially enjoyed the kimbap -- both the vegetable and beef versions were flavorful and satisfying. The Tteokbokki had that classic spicy-sweet Korean flavor that I love. The Seafood Ramen was comforting and flavorful, with plenty of seafood, and the Yaki Mandu made a great side dish. For drinks, I tried the Ube, Mango, and Strawberry Boba, and all three were fun and refreshing, especially if you're looking for something sweet to enjoy with your meal. If you're in Bakersfield and craving a mix of Korean comfort food, ramen, and boba drinks, Hakku Ramen Boba is worth checking out. And if you remember the place as Sweet Pop, it's now operating under its new name, Hakku Ramen Boba!
