Do not purchase any products from this company. My little Chihuahua has been eating the Small breed, whole-grain, chicken and oats, dry dog food for over three years. I purchased a bag from Petco back in January. I am blind, and I reached down towards the bottom of the bag to scoop her out some food, and I touched something furry, I handed the bag to my husband and he said that I did not want to know what I touched. It was a dead mouse. I contacted the company and they refused to take responsibility. I have no mice in my house. We have never seen one before this and we have not seen one since. Besides, it was buried under food towards the bottom of the bag and it was dead. If it came from my house, it would've been running around in there eating and alive. they sent me an email saying that it could not have come from their facility and sent me a free bag of food. Why the hell would I continue to feed my dog their food? I stopped, feeding her their food as soon as that happened.

We have been raising our pup (now a year and a half) on The Honest Kitchen. He loves it and we love it! We find that he prefers to eat food in between that consists of more fruits and veggies. He begs for carrots and bananas, etc. So healthy. The food is easy to make and there is a nice variety in the puppy age group in addition to the adult dog. He seems to enjoy Emark (Turkey) the most and has tried Thrive (Chicken) and Love (Beef). Up next the Duck! Prior to Austrailian Shepherd we raised our Collies (on an un-named brand) and they were challenged with auto-immune problems. We decided to go more green and LOCAL San Diego and we couldn't be more pleased. For those who don't want to make the investment or cannot make the switch - they have excellent training treats called "Quickies" and regular treats called "Pecks" that won't break the bank! Your dog will thank you. Anyone know how to make a lick sign?

This 2 pound box makes 8 lbs worth of food!

My terrier is a finicky little thing, and she nibbles at her kibble, eating her food so as to not starve, but I know she's not happy with her food choice. A few days ago, I received the opportunity to try the LOVE dog food by The Honest Kitchen. Its a bit messy to make, as its wet food meets dry food. I was given a 2 pound box of dry mix, about the size of a box of pancake mix, and inside looks like mulch. Upon opening the box, I was not impressed. The instructions, while easy, was a 3 step process 1. Measure the water, and make it lukewarm (I chose microwaving it for 15 seconds) 2. Measure the dry food content (in my case, my dog gets 1/2 cup), add to the dog bowl, add the warm water, stir. I found out using a fork to stir is better than using a spoon. 3. Let set for 3 minutes. Serve. My dog inhaled the food the first day, and today is day 5 and she's still inhaling the food. I'm impressed! The box isn't cheap, about $25 for the 2 lb box. But, the food is human grade (although it doesn't smell it) and Lulu seems to enjoy it. You can buy it online, or get it as the "Pet and Feed" supply warehouses. There's a location link on the Honest Kitchen website. The downside of using this product is you can't leave it out for the dog to graze. On the up side, the dog is so excited about eating, there isn't time for the food to set out to graze. The company also has cat food, fish food and other pet supplies.

I have been buying The Honest Kitchen CAT BLEND INSTANT GOAT'S MILK from various sellers for a long time and have never had any problems with quality and shelf life. But now I received an invitation from TheHonestKitchen to buy this milk with a 50% discount and I bought 10 cans in the expectation that it will last for the next 10 months. When the milk arrived, I found that the expiration date expires in 2 months. I opened one can and the milk had a rotten smell. ORDER 200000508277 Placed on September 6, 2023. The fact that the shelf life of milk expires has not been indicated anywhere. Before buying, I also called customer service, said I was taking a lot, but I was not warned about the expiration date. The Honest Kitchen refused to exchange milk for non-spoiled milk, motivating "the product you purchased was placed as a discounted rate as part of our summersale.....we are unable to proceed with an exchange or a refund". Please see the attached screenshot of this product, where no clear information concerning the expiration date. I believe that this is a deliberate deception of buyers in order to sell spoiled products. Looks like, it was stored in a warm place by the seller.

    One happy healthy pup!

This address is not a store, but their headquarters, and I think it's where it's made. You can find the food at your neighborhood pet food store. I've been feeding the grain free chicken to my pit mix for the last two years, and she has been doing great on this. She was sick with chronic UTIs and anal gland issues when we adopted her and we were worried about her long term health, which is why I switched her food to this from the BB blue wilderness. Within a few weeks of switching, her coat became so shiny and her UTIs disappeared. No more vet bills (we miss you Dr. McClure!). This is a human grade, super healthy food. It looks and smells like stuffing to me. To enhance the flavor, I add a splash of homemade bone broth, a spoonful of ground chicken, or a handful of limited ingredient kibble (Nulo or First Mate). She loves it! If you find it at the top of your budget, you can feed it half half with regular dry dog food, and you'll still see benefits.

    The cure !!!

The Honest Kitchen is AMAZING! Straight to the point their "Perfect Form, Herbal Digestive Supplement" DOES EXACTLY WHAT IT SAYS IT WILL DO, and then some... Cat/Dog - Diarrhea/Constipation - solves it all! Long story will be my next post, this product saved Ace's life! It was too important not to share immediately, One Love !

My princess deserves the best and let me tell you, Honest Kitchen dog food, is THE BEST! I want my princess to be around for a long time and I know that feeding her a diet of HUMAN GRADE food will keep her healthy(None of that by-product, filler crap). She absolutely LOVES her meal times now, and licks the bowl CLEAN! I also love knowing that I am giving her what her body needs in order to stay healthy and live a longer life. She also has an under bite which makes chewing difficult for her at times, and the fact that she doesn't have to work as hard to eat makes me happy for her, lol. Our precious fur babies don't last as long as humans, but I hope with feeding her this wholesome food, she will have a much longer, healthier life. Thank you, Honest Kitchen.

Return Policy that does not say anything about promocode items or on sale items.
    Pauline L.

I bought both the Hope and Spruce from The Honest Kitchen with a coupon code in 10-lb sizes from their website. My 60+lb dog unfortunately did not like the Spruce. She had previously eaten Embark and did fine. When she ate the Spruce she developed huge eye boogers and drainage and eventually refused to eat it. I was scared to open the Hope, so I called to hopefully get some money back on the Hope since I spent over $160 on my entire order. Apparently, they do not take "on sale" items back. I never saw this when I purchased it from the website or I would have started off with a much smaller size. In fact, it is not in the return policy listed on the website. I sucked it up and said, okay. My fault. I tried to sell the food on Ebay to recoup some of the costs, since this food is very pricey. Well, I wake up one morning with an angry message from Ebay saying, Honest Kitchen reported me for using their intellectual property (photos of their food). I did not copy any photos from their website. Instead I used my own photos, but they still reported me to Ebay and my listing was taken down. Now I am left with a big box of $100+ food. I called the Honest Kitchen to tell them my concern of them incorrectly reporting me to ebay. One lady, Kayla, who was nice, apologized and said they only sell through 3 online retailers and would be fine with crediting one box back to me but would have to get manager approval. I wait to talk to Liz, the manager, and Liz said the return policy says I cannot return it and that she has final approval and would not give me a credit despite what Kayla said. Liz also denied that Honest Kitchen reported me on Ebay and that it was Ebay's fault instead. I offered to show her the email that said the owner, The Honest Kitchen, Inc. complained and reported me but she changed the subject and said regardless I would not be able to return it. Thank you Liz for being a great representation of your company that rakes in $30billion+ a year in sales. This company has poor customer service and the inability to relate to customers trying to find a food for their dog. Their advertisements focus on standing behind their product but rather than helping a customer exchange the foods, they blame me for not reading a non-existent return policy on sale foods and then they prevent me from returning it or even reselling it. I have uploaded a photo of their return policy that says nothing about promo or on sale items.

I was pretty disappointed to see many of the same pup toys and supplies that you can find anywhere else, but for a higher price. The outfits they had were cute, but I couldn't justify paying $50 for a shirt (and yes, that's more than I would pay for myself). The woman that was working wasn't very friendly and looked like she would rather jump off a cliff than be there. Not encouraging, but I still decided to buy my pup a cookie. I didn't realize until he couldn't eat it that it was actually rock hard. He tried licking the frosting off, but I don't think he liked it because he barely had any. I was extremely disappointed. You wouldn't serve old/stale food to humans, so why would you do that for pups? Should've gone with my gut and not bought anything from here.

We were walking back to our car after a delicious breakfast at The Waterfront Bar and Grill when we happened by Doggie Style so we popped in. We're suckers when it comes to our two dogs Ozzy and T.J. They are two very spoiled girls! A few steps into the store was a big display of homemade (organic, I think) dog cookies. They were made with all natural ingredients such as sweet potato. We picked up two each for the doggos. Two Halloween themed and two ice cream themed, a cone and a bar. When we arrived home the dogs sniffed out the treats right away. Ozzy is a smaller dog with small teeth so we like to break her treats into smaller pieces. Holy crap! The Haloween dog bone cookies were hard as rocks! I had to chop them with a knife and it took some effort! T.J. is a big dog so she had no problem devouring hers. I can't speak to the grooming, but the variety of treats, toys and accessories for pets was impressive. A little on the pricey side, but that is to be expected in this type of bougie pet stor.
