When I first went into this store I was so excited seeing all the low prices on some awesome…read morethings. I had a cart full of items that I wanted to purchase, it was time to head to check out we get to the register and all the cashier kept doing was birching about how the child outside was selling candy. Was more concerned about the kid selling candy then paying attention to is while at the register. She kept saying how sick she was of hearing the kid screaming candy and complained about it for 5 minutes straight. During that time we were trying to cash out and leave. When it came time to purchase our items I told the cashier I had the 15% off coupon and that I wanted to use it, she wouldnt listen kept going on about the kid outside w the candy. When I had to tell her again I wanted to use it she claimed she used the coupon but the price never changed on the card machine. It was the same price it would of been without the coupon. The cashier insured me that the coupon did come off and the card machine was just wrong in the display amount. I out my card in and paid, I got charged the amount before the coupon, it never came off. I told her and she argued with me saying I did not get charged even though it came out of my bank account already. THEN, she called the manager over and he said that I never paid tvat amount even though it came right off my card by that store it was the first store of the day. Then they MADE me pay for my items again and took off the coupon this time for sure. They claimed that the first charge wouldnt actually come out and I would get my money back. WELL guess what I did get charged two different times for the same exact items they claimed I never paid for the first time. I had to dispute my charges thru my bank which did not refund me my money.. The store claimed that I couldnt return anything the first time because no receipt printed. If the receipt didnt print then why did I get charged twice for the same stuff? I am extremely disappointed in this company, they wouldnt help me, wouldnt stop their cashier for complaining about someone outside, and would not give me my money back, and not paying attention to us. If she paid attention to us wouldnt of gotten charged twice and be out money that could of been used for other things. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO THIS STORE. IF COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS DEFINITELY WOULD. Watch out when going to this store...

This store is never open. For several years every time Im in the area Antiquing I check to see if…read morethey are open but nope still closed.

Simply the best antique store I have ever visited. It's a true not-to-miss gem and the people who…read morerun it must be the friendliest in the business. The items are truly antique, clean and well-organized, and many are very unique. The prices were very grounded and we worked out several bargains without much, if any, negotiating. We visited many shops on our trip to Vermont (from NYC), but this shop was easily the most impressive. We met the owners when we were shopping for antiques to use for our wedding. The store is off-the-beaten-path (approx 4.5 miles off route 7 and downtown Brandon), but it is well worth the few extra miles of travel. And the meticulously landscaped 14-acre property, including a duck pond, a barn, a gazebo, a huge outcropping of rock, numerous flowers, and an early 1900s fire-ready tipi or teepee, makes the visit a truly pleasant experience. There are literally have thousands of well organized items in this multi-room shop contained within a winged, multi-level, barn-like structure on the property next to the owner's home. To demonstrate the owner's passion for antiques, the home is a historic colonial which they had moved from another property further down the road. Aside from being very helpful and informative, they were very generous to us. After describing the look we wanted for our wedding tables, the owner offered dried vines from his property to use as natural decorations. And when I described how we wanted to make birch candle holders (with glass votives carved into the tops), we were offered several beautiful birch logs to work with. They also referred us to an antique shop up the road called The Barn Antiques. They said she had a lot of what we were looking for (old tins, crates, glass bottles). Owner is Sharon Glaser (802)-465-8069 or (973)-420-9967, and the shop is on Route 7 & Three Mile Bridge Road in Middlebury, VT. Email: thebarnantiquesvt@gmail.com But don't miss the Juniper Hill shop....enjoy!
