I wanted to write a review of this Home Depot solely on my experience recently. I went to get a specific wood width and with specific measurements. When I got to the isle there was not one sole available. I looked around and saw the cashier Mike I told him I needed help and he said he would call someone to the isle. About a minute or two later Paul comes over to help me. This is when my experience was amazing. I told him what I showed him the wood I needed. He looked thru them and got me the best pieces. We went over to the cutting g board, I gave him the measurements I needed when he handed it to me I asked if the size was correct, he measured it and it was wrong. He didn't get upset he walked back to the isle and got another nice piece and then cut both to my measurements. All this while he was about to take his break. My husband loves a visit to the Home Depot! The good thing about every Home Depot I've been to is the employees are always super friendly and very helpful. I've found that to be the case here! They always have a knack for finding you when you are truly lost and helping you navigate you the right aisle. Store made a mistake ordering a produce needed that I wait days to received, called then and I felt that they anly told that if i don't like them return them. I tryed to explain that i ordered them because i need them, nobody asked if i want to wait for the righ one. And someone name Bri thanked me for being a home depot custumer with smily emoji. We are planning to paint our bathrooms and I stopped here to get some color swatches. Their selection of color from Behr is unbelievable...the shades just vary by slight hues, but they do make a difference. I picked several to bring to the house and I was happy with the ones I picked. While at the store, I heard one of the guys working in the paint department and he was very friendly, jovial and helpful to the people at the counter. Good place for many things related to home improvement. It's hard to find, since it's all the way in the back of the shopping center, but keep driving all the way until you find this huge store. read more

I went in to have them order an item they didn't have in stock and they needed my email, phone number, and drivers license. They signed me up for some membership without telling me that I didn't want and didn't consent to. I had spam email by the time I got home. Not acceptable. read more

I'm so disappointed with Home Depot as my elderly in-laws order a loveseat to have delivered. To my shock they was going to leave it curbside. When we asked that the loveseat be brought into the house they refused. So we had to cancel the order. I guess this is how Home Depot treats military veterans and the elderly. I love Home Depot. And that's a good thing because I seem to be here every other day. I've ordered things online and picked them up at the store both curbside and in the store and they are both convenient. I was looking for some curtains and had a particular color in mind. I wanted a certain style and I couldn't find the color or style anywhere. The way I think was that Home Depot had it online. I am working on my bathroom now and I was so happy to see that they have the handicap bars and the towel bars and fixtures and just the style and color that I want. read more

Update 12NOV2020 Counter tops installed. Everything looks very nice. Install crew knew what they were doing and made us feel like we were in good hands. Communication was a little weak and it took 3-4 weeks to get this counter installed (which I was told on the phone it was 2 weeks still even during Corona pandemic). Honestly it was worth the wait! 4 stars earned and one for CoronaVirus-grace. read more

Truly awful customer service. I'm not happy that they have a policy against returning paint. It sucks that buying $100 of paint that doesn't match when it goes on the wall is wasted. It's a lot of money for trial and error (and don't give me that bs about buying a sample first - we did). The truly epic crappiness of the Warwick HD staff is unparalleled. You need a birth certificate, proof of citizenship, a puppy, a kitten, and a baby to get an ounce of understanding or empathy from these people. Angie and crew looked at me as if I were insane for even asking for them to consider taking back $100. Lowe's is just down the road. They're a big corporation too, but I've had a far more pleasant experience with their staff, even when they've said no or can't help me. People make or break a company. And this Home Depot sucks. read more

Came in today for a small piece of plywood for a DIY project I've been meaning to finish for months. Waited 20 minutes for the lumber guy to finish what he was doing so he could cut me this piece of wood. When I got to the register, the guy charged me $45 for this small piece of wood. At no point during my entire 30 minutes in this store did anyone tell me I would get charged the entire piece of huge plywood for such a small piece. I don't understand why the employees wasted my time and essentially wasted this small piece of plywood. I'm very frustrated and I'll never be returning to this store. read more

If you're the manager of this Home Depot and reading this, you need to hire more people. You've got one poor soul working the customer service desk simultaneously doing returns, pick ups and regular customer service. It's a Monday night and there are long lines. Unsatisfactory! Also, yesterday I ordered a snowblower online for pickup at this store. I thought it was great that someone from your store actually called me before I made the trip to tell me it had to be assembled and would be ready the following day. Outstanding! I can wait a day even if it did snow this morning. However, when I went to the store tonight, the snowblower was still sitting in it's box unassembled. A wasted trip for me. If you're going to make a commitment to a customer, MAKE SURE YOU KEEP IT! I felt bad for the overworked gent at the customer service desk. Mr. or Ms. Manager, this is YOUR MESS. FIX IT! I would give only one star for the poor management, but the gent at the customer service desk was courteous and apologetic. He shouldn't have to apologize for poor management. read more

By far the best Home Depot in my area. If you've read any of my other reviews you'll catch on that I frequent stores that have to do with home renovations. It's a high traffic contractor store during the week and homeowners central on the weekends. That being said, I'm a Monday - Friday shopper here! I do have a bit more knowledge of the inventory in said stores because of that so I do not need employees to hand hold me during my shopping process. Though when I need help, the team at this Home Depot are always willing; whether it's Bonnie cutting specialty wire, Dave or Lisa color matching gallons of paint, Dale hand selecting 2x4s or Mike loading my truck with the days haul, they all do it with a smile! I will say that I miss Rosa over at the Pro Desk but Sylvia and Brenna are still there holding it down. In addition to the positive staff, the selection of items at this store is great. Over the years they have increased the options for finishings; offering more tile or lighting, to choose from. The home and garden department is also quite good at this store, again great selection of flowers and plants. I will say checking out can be tricky as they have opted for the self check out kiosks that almost every retail store now has. That means less cashiers and it can be difficult to scan some items here on your own. They do have someone who oversees the self service but they usually are always open and lines build up at registers with cashiers. read more

Not a fan of this location. I believe it was the first Home Depot location in R.I.; the store is laid out differently than other area HD stores, which is annoying. I agree with another reviewer that they seem to hire inexperienced help. On Saturday, I was working on building a shed, and went there to buy some LP Smartside panels. The two employees in the lumber department had no clue what they even are, never mind whether they stock them, and if so, where I could find them in the store. So, I walked out, and they lost a $200-plus sale to Lowe's, just down the road. Lowe's building materials department was a much more tightly run ship than Home Depot's. Lowe's has plenty of carts for hauling plywood already lined up in the lumber aisle, whereas Home Depot, you have to search around the parking lot to snag one. The employee I asked at Lowe's led me right to the LP Smartside panels, and even got a forklift to get a new bundle of panels from overhead (there were two left on the floor, and I needed five panels). The building materials section at Lowe's also seems much neater and more organized than the Home Depot on Universal Boulevard. Thanks (for nothing) Home Depot for wasting my time this past Saturday. read more

Went there today to have a key made asked 3 employees for help and was told by all 3 they don't work in that department. The 1 employee that did work there walked by me with another customer without even acknowledging me waiting. Proceeded to the nearest register to ask for help to see the cashier facing away and on her phone. Good thing there's a Lowe's in both directions when you leave the parking lot. read more

Part of this has to do with ordering online, and part with the store. I ordered cabinets and a countertop to remodel my kitchen online for the Warwick store. I had no idea that online and instore were 2 separate entities. When I went to pickup, one of my cabinets did not come in. I was advised it would be in the following week. I went back the following week and the cabinet was not in and no one at online customer service, nor in the store could tell me where it was or when it would be in. Online blamed the store, the store blamed online, both told me to wait. Finally, I found the cabinet was in stock at a couple of other local HD stores. I asked to have one of those either sent to Warwick for my order, or to switch my order to the other store so I could pick up at the store with stock and was refused. I eventually went to the store with stock, purchased the item, and cancelled my order online. I will never purchase another item at Home Depot ever again. I have numerous remodel projects planned for my home in the next 2 years, and that business will be taken elsewhere. read more

I've visited this Home Depot several times since moving, and have had a great experience each time. Inevitably, there is one thing on my list that I just can't find, and I've been able to find an associate quickly. They've never steered me wrong (no "uhhhh, I think aisle 3? Yeah, aisle 3, but there should be someone else in that department you can check with"), and I've never had to track down more than one person to get what I needed. The lovely woman at the paint counter juggled 4-5 customers at a time with ease. I needed to wait a few minutes as the queue piled up, but she was apologetic when it was finally my turn although she didn't need to be. On one occasion, the associate manning the self-checkout area expedited us by scanning our cart full of items and then just punching some numbers into the machine when it was our turn at the register. Super easy and above and beyond what I normally would have expected from the stereotype of gruff, no-nonsense Home Depot employees that seems to pervade other stores. I know I haven't made my last trip yet but I expect the same level of service as my previous ones, so I don't mind. read more

I forgot to check-in when I visited here yesterday! They need better signage to help new customers find this place because when you turn in from the main road, it gets confusing. Even using Waze, it took two tries (and the second worked because I had been here before and once on the right access road, I remembered it was past the Starbucks ($tarbucks)). A very big store with nice air conditioning on a hot (95*) summer day, so I didn't mind wandering until I found what I was looking for but had I been in a rush... Finally I found some bed frame wheels close enough to what I needed that I could take them back and modify them. Sales associates were very helpful which is why I am giving this Home Depot 4 stars! read more

This store sucks. The service is horrible. Service desk phones have an "ignore" button instead of a "hold" button. After several attempts totaling a half hour, I gave up and ordered from Amazon. Even store to store contact, they are horrible. Delivery is a joke. I gave 1 star because that is the lowest. Avoid like the plague. read more

This was the first home improvement store that "moved" into the area. The location is on super busy Bald Hill Road, getting there can be an adventure to begin with... When it opened a long time ago, it was, well, new. Now it is outdated, old, and nothing special at all. Gone is the WOW factor, thank you Darryl from Storage Wars. They have a pretty good selection, but it is all cheaper then a true supply store. I read that companies actually make the "same" item with less expensive parts to sell at The Home Depot. Check model numbers if you don't believe me. The staff has been better, probably because the joint is empty and they know that they are hurting. Little too late my friends. If I have a choice and I usually do, I go somewhere else. The wood is horrible, takes twenty minutes to find one straight 2x4. Ugh, don't have the time or the energy to do that....go to Coventry Lumber. They are a lumber company....d'uh! I wish I could give it a little more praise, this is where my brothers and I would go first because they were the only show in town, now they are not and we rarely go there now. I own 2 homes and shopped here for decades . Last year I bought a RI home in Warwick and opened a pro card before I went to Florida had a contractor do multiple jobs from walls to windows to floors . We could not return fro Florida due to Covid . When we returned I had all the remaining leftovers to returned that we didn't need. THEY WOULD NOT TAKE BACK BECAUSE TOO LONG TIME ?????Since when perfectly boxed receipted items they still sold , they won't credit . STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS! never again and back to Mom and Pops. I usually go to Lowe's when I need home fix it stuff, mostly because it's closer to my house than this Home Depot. Also, in the past, I have to say I hadn't been impressed with the service at Home Depots - staff was hard to find if I needed help mainly. Well, I stopped by this Home Depot this morning for some stuff and not only were there plenty of staff available, but every single one of them greeted me cheerfully and inquired if I needed help finding what I was looking for. It was a pleasant change of pace from places where the staff is surly and obviously unhappy to be where they are. And, of course, Home Depot having pretty much everything under the face of the sun I could need for home improvement projects, I found everything I needed quickly and got in and out in a decent amount of time. Too bad this place isn't closer to my residence, but if I'm ever nearby and need something, I won't hesitate to return. read more

Close to my house (about a mile away). Always friendly service, willing to help. Asks if you need any assistance. My father knows one of the guys working there as well so I usually try to say hi. I have gotten a few referrals for different services (dishwasher delivery/install and fencing) and have been happy with the service provided for each. I swore when I was younger I would never like the Home Depot and I would boycott it for all of eternity. This was pre-teen me after being dragged around by my Dad through aisles and aisles of what appeared to be useless stuff I would never use. Fast forward 15 years and here I am happily skipping along the aisles of Home Depot like a kid on Christmas. I love this place. You truly do not appreciate stores like this until you are a home owner, I swear. In a recent splurge to update some items around the home we stopped into Home Depot to browse. I literally can not say enough about the staff and how helpful they are. They are not only helpful but they know what they are talking about. They do not stare at you like you just asked them what the square root of Pi is, but they offer helpful tips, suggestions and bring you wherever you need to go. Amazing! I'd believe they have a great selection and they will match prices. We found something that was more expensive in store than their online site and they matched it no questions. In June of 2014 my wife and I bought a new house. We furnished the house with LG appliances from Home Depot. We had the standard manufacturer' s guarantee for one year and bought an extended 5 year guarantee from Home Depot through Asurion. We have had nothing but trouble with Asurion getting the appliances fixed. The latest snafu is with our double oven. It has had nothing but power problems since it was installed. They have replaced all of the computer boars 2-3 times, the sensors 4 times and still refuse to replace the oven. The next step? Suggestions requested. read more

OMG!!!!!!!! Let me say I have NEVER written a negative post, this is my 1St.... I have had the absolute worst experience with this HD. I just purchased a home and I was buying all new appliances, so I decided to open a HD card. I went and purchased a stove and refrigerator. I received my curtesy call letting me when my appliance was being delivered and a time, they also informed me that they would be giving me a 30 min call before coming to my house. I ordered on 11/19 and was giving an estimated arrival on 11/28. A gentleman called me and told me he was outside my house, I asked why I did not get the 30min heads up call and he rudely told me we don't do that. I told him that I was at work and it would take me a few min to get home, he told he would only wait 10min and then leave. I told him that it was not enough time for me to get home and he told me he would have someone call me to reschedule. 4 days went by and no call! I finally called them and they informed me that my delivery date was 12/1. Once again they gave me a time that was completely inaccurate. Once they finally delivered my items at 6pm they came in complaining, they preceded to tell me that I was lucky that I received my delivery at all. They kept talking about how they only make $10 hour and if they don't feel like delivering items they just reschedule because they technically don't work for HD. They were also bragging about how they constantly get calls from house wives crying to get there delivery. They began laughing that stated that they always tell them to reschedule. One of them also was extremely rude to my father as he walked into my house. I wanted them out of my house!! Finally after they left I noticed that the Stove was banged up and the door was not even with the stove itself. I called early the next day to complain. Called HD and spoke with the Manager who was shocked about my experience. She told me that she would have someone reach back out to me so that they can record my complaint and build a case.... NOTHING, NO calls, No letters, NADA! They gave me another date for a replacement stove. I once again received my Robo call to confirm. I actually left work early to meet the driver (Who never came)!! Once again I called them, in which they told me that the delivery call was a mistake and they didn't have my stove. Fast forward today 12/17! After ME calling them they told me that they can't find the stove!!! They said that Maytag sent the stove and the delivery team is saying they never received it!! So basically the stove just magically disappeared. I finally HAD IT!!! Requested to have the damaged stove picked up. (YES I still have the damaged stove at my house) I have NEVER EVER had so many problems. So much miscommunication (if any), and lack of consideration in my whole life!!!!! I will be paying off my HD card as soon as I can!!! Still dealing with this whole Cluster F@#% as we speak. read more

Husband and I just bought a house. We are first time homeowners. We found our dream house and was looking to fence in our .25 acre backyard, for my kids and dog. Husband went to talk to a "employee" about getting a quote for this to be done. The "employee" asks my husband "why? Are you planning on buying it today?" Very disrespectful, very rude, everytime we wanted to talk to anyone it was a long wait. We would see "employees" and ask them for help and everyone of their responses was "I dont work in that department" so needless to say we took our business elsewhere right up the rd to lowes where we received the attention we deserved.
