It's hard for me to give just a 3 star when the store really, really tries. The people and service are 5 star here, they do really try hard to please the customer. The drive thru lumberyard is a big plus too, really convenient. The problem with the store is it's more of a 'mini' home depot, very poorly laid out, cramped isles, minimal stock. I have no idea since it's the only big box anywhere for 30 mile radius in any direction that they decided to go with this, because they really have a hard time shewing companies like Adams and Yoders away from the area. If you need a quick run and you live in Lavonia, Martin, Toccoa, Clarksville... this is a good stop for you. If you need specifics and selection, might need to make the extra drive. read more

I paid someone to return an item that would not fit in my car and they refused the return. I called and the return associate was soooooooooooo rude and no help at all. The manager was no help as well. read more

Came here after a terrible experience at Lowe's in Cornelia. Every employee we encountered was so pleasant and eager to help. We had a big order and the employees in the garden center helped us load it all up without us even asking. I live 20 minutes away and am much closer to the Lowe's in Cornelia, but I will definitely be coming back! read more

Purchased washer and dryer set. Checked BEFORE I purchased them that they could be delivered after 4 p.m. (which is when I would be home from work). I was assured it was not a problem. Night before scheduled delivery, received text stating appliances would be delivered between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. (!) I replied to customer service that delivery MUST be after 4 pm because no one would be at my house before that. Customer Service person stated that delivery schedule was made by a computer to ensure the most efficient route but that they would put a note in my account for the human delivery person to come after 4. Next day, I received a text at 10:30 stating my appliances had been delivered. I didn't know how, because no one was at my house to let them in. Checked doorbell cam, appliances were left on front porch. I texted number of delivery people and asked when they could come back and complete install (free installation is included and I purchased the installation kit as well). They said they couldn't come back and install it today, that I would have to call Home Depot and schedule an installation. Ridiculous!!! I was lied to. I would never have purchased the set if it could not be delivered while I was home. This is the worst experience I have ever had at Home Depot. If it wouldn't be a hundred times more of a headache, I would be returning everything for a refund!!!!!!! I will say there was a very nice lady at the Toccoa store who tried to help me when I called. I appreciate that very much. The first person I talked to was a man and he was indifferent that $1500 worth of appliances were left sitting on my porch. He said they didn't make the delivery schedule and didn't have anything to do with it. read more

Home DEPOT is always on point. In Toccoa, I should say anyway. The employees are always very nice and helpful too.

More employees than customers does not guarantee anyone will help you here. But if know what you need and where it is, this store is ok. The store is also clean, fairly new, well organized, and I really like the drivethru lumber yard! read more

Terrible customer service and management. Its pretty said that if you want to order a appliance you will be charged $60.00 to have it delivered to the store. And the store does not even carry anything in stock. The attitude of the sales rep. was oh well go somewhere else. And guess what we are. If they spend the money on training the employees and management to not sit around and do there job maybe it could be a good place. read more

Paid deposit for the addition of gutters to my home. Sales person from Home Depot services came out and gave me an estimate to install the gutters and downspouts. I accepted the bid and paid 10% down with the remainder due after installation. Home services sent a prompt E-mail confirming the transaction and telling me the 7 step process of the work. Two days later I got a call setting the install date and a 2 hour window for the installers to start the work. The date of install was to be today 8/1/2017 and the starting time frame was between 8am -10am. I got an e-mail the night before the install date confirming both the date and time. 5 days before this I got a call confirming the date and time. In the install date (today) I got a call at 9:30am saying the installers were running late on another job but they would be here between 10am & 12 noon. I also got an e-mail today explaining I was in step #6 the "install" Around 1pm I called home services to find out where the installers were. The operator told me they ran out of the gutter I ordered and they would reschedule. I asked when they planned on telling me this but of course she had no clue. I asked for a supervisor but was told they were all in meetings and would call me back. I'm sure the meetings were concerning customer service!! A supervisor called me back 2 hours later and told me the same out of stock story. No I'm sorry, no I will fix this, and no concern. It's now 10 days later with no gutter, no information on when I will get my gutter installed, and no information as to where my deposit is. read more

Purchased a water heater got it home dented really bad, brought it back and exchanged it for the last one they had, once got it home to found out had to completely cut all plumbing out due to newer models are 2 inches wider. So once all this was done 2 hours later with all new CPVC lines and new flex tubing installed, turned on water to find out this new hot water heater had a leak, so I thought I may have over tightened flex line, so I have to completely drain hot water heater, go purchase another new line and install, once finished to my surprise it leaks also! So started checking and find the bottom of water supply pipe in the hot water heater is damaged causing new flex line O ring to not seal properly so have to drain hot water heater yet again! Drain heater and call store to speak with someone and finally get a manager he says to bring hot water heater back so I then explain that I will have to completely re-plumb it again due to I can't remove the hot water heater through the opening in my wall and that I will have to cut all new CPVC lines just to remove it and start over. So he ask me to send pics and he will see what he can do, so 45 minutes later I get tired of waiting and I drive up to store and I wait at service counter for 20 minutes very patiently while 3 different people help one customer, so after waiting and the other customer has been helped I wait again for another 10 minutes while 2 of the 3 people totally ignore me. So finally Chris the assistant manager ask me what do I need, I start trying to explain to him the issue and that I had already spoken with a manager but I didn't get his name and he rudely looks at me and say so what are you wanting me to do about it, so I bit my tongue and wasn't smart back and said politely that I had a plumber on the way to see if he could fix all I was asking for is for them to cover the cost of fixing the second damaged water heater they had sold me. Then he stated he would have to check with the manager I had spoken too. So I wait again while he goes to find him, well that manager that was supposed to be checking on my issue is sitting in break room on his break, however he does get up comes out and says he can get me a new pipe to install into the new $400 Rheem hot water heater I had just purchased but he can't do anything else. So I take the pipe home to find out that the new pipe is 3 inches shorter than the one in water heater so I took the parts back and give it to manager and ask if there was anything they could do to help since I just purchased it that morning, well I can possibly give you a store credit however I can't cover the plumbers fee. So I said I would let him know, left and met plumber and he fixed pipe and finished installing water heater and tested to make sure all is correct and was very fair as he only charged me $75 to fix. Now all this being said I had just spent over $500 in the last two days at this store and I have spent over $10,000 in this Home Depot over the last 9 years and I have always had great service, however after dealing with the two assistant managers I had to deal with and seeing them not care or try to fix or solve a issue with a customer that wasn't fussing, wasn't being rude and has been a returning customer since it opened! No thank you I felt instead of asking them for their $75 store credit it would be more valuable to let people know just how sorry their customer service is! I would rather cost myself the $75 store credit and save others the headache of such sorry customer service! I will never spend one penny in this Home Depot again if at all possible! The people at Lowe's in Cornelia will get my business from now on even though it's a 45 minutes drive there and back! At least they act like they care about their customers and for a side note this isn't just someone who wants to complain, I have been a retail manager for 12 years and the customer service I received is by far the worst experience ever with a retail store! read more
