The delivery service of our new washer was not setup correctly. They forgot to take the Styrofoam packing from underneath the bin and also level the washer. When we first used it, there was a loud banging noise, and the machine shook the whole house on the spin cycle. HD would not allow a return or send someone out to take a look. I called Electrolux service and they came out and removed the Styrofoam and leveled the machine. I notified Home Depot and took the Styrofoam packing to HD and let them know what happened. No apology or compensation of any kind. read more

Update: Never mind, this place turns into a nightmare if you have an issue. Purchased some blueberry plants because they were on sale 2/$15. After checking out I noticed on my receipt that I was charged full price for them, so instead of $30 for 4 plants I was charged $52. Figured not a problem, I'll go to returns. Stood there for 20 minutes as the second person in line before just giving up. Tried calling the store figuring I'd at least let them know that either there signage is wrong or their computers aren't charging the right price. Gave up after 15 minutes of nonstop ringing. If you aren't going to honor the posted price then either take it down or make sure you have enough employees to actually run your customer service counter. I guess Home Depot just desperate to get any penny they can and happy to screw you over in the process. They generally have everything we need in stock. The staff are friendly and there's a few really knowledgeable staff members on the floor. read more

We decided to use them for a kitchen remodel. Huge mistake! We were promised a look for the kitchen by the sales rep who came to our house that we never received. The installer said that basically most of what she promised they don't do. Worst, she promised a 2 month job that turned into 6 months. And absolutely worst, no one at Home Depot could have cared less. Never got the sales rep nor her manager to call us back. The install manager just wanted us to go away. And the guy doing the install was very nice but didn't speak a word of English. He literally used his iPhone to translate everything to us, including hello and goodbye. The lady at customer service is still rude. She has been rude anytime I've needed to return something. She is rude on the phone as well. I called to ask a question about if a truck was available to pick up. We had been there the night before and the truck was out. She was so busy trying to find my pick up order she failed to hear why I was calling. I went in to the store, She was condescending as she called the manager to come up front for me. He was pleasant but again. This isn't the first time this has happened with this lady. Nothing will be done yet again about how she greets and treats people. I am praying for her spouse. Then I get a text at 8:18am ...saying my delivery is scheduled between 6am-10am I do not understand why they fail at customer service- unless they really don't care. It's very difficult using Home Depot for blinds because they contract out for measurement and install and use inferior products without good descriptions. LEVELOR blinds are the inferior product. I've had to replace almost all of the cellular shades I purchase because they wouldn't stay open (up) within 3 years of purchasing. Levelor will send u a replacement but for those hard to reach windows but you have to hire someone to install. In the end it's so much more of a hassle and much more expensive than independent businesses. Shop elsewhere! read more

This store sure feeds into the stereotype people have about big box hardware stores. I custom ordered an interior door from them in September 2020. The door took 2 months to arrive, and when it did it was absolutely beat from shipping. Reordered the door, and when it arrived for installation I discovered their installer had mismeasured and the door was 1/4" too narrow. Reordered again. A month goes by, and I stop by the store to check on order status. They tell me it'll be 6 months before the door arrives. At that point I canceled the order, and that's when the fun really started! Even though everything that happened was 100% Home Depot's issue, they're refusing to issue a refund until they get the latest door. In the meantime, they're sitting on my money. Icing on the cake is how completely and utterly uncaring they are. The "expeditor" in the Poulsbo store who handles orders and refunds has completely ignored repeated calls and voicemails. Just refuses to call me or discuss my order or refund my money. Bottom line: If you're thinking about who to give your money to (especially for larger purchases) go elsewhere. This is a review of their credit card system. I got nothing in the mail and now have an overdue payment according to an email. When I tried to pay online I got kicked off several times and finally it said there was a security problem and gave a number to call. I got several automated answers and none of them would solve my problem. When I asked for a representative I got what appeared to be an AI person but they hung up on me. Twice. This is the worst service I have ever experienced. They also mentioned a $5 fee for paying by phone. I cancelled my card. I like the store, usually, but the credit card seems like a scam. I can't seem to be able to pay it and now they will start charging interest. read more

I left a review in June about the fact that the Poulsbo Home Depot tried and failed FIVE TIMES to deliver and install a dishwasher, including the time the delivery guy showed up but FORGOT THE DISHWASHER!!!! Buyer beware: 1) bought an 8' real Christmas tree + stand combo from here yesterday. The store had already applied the stand to the tree. 2) brought it home and double checked all the tightening screws on the base before decorating the tree. 3) the tree fell over today. The base buckled. The stand's plastic was thin and you could see where it had buckled. The stand was rated for the 8' tree. 4) multiple one of a kind ornaments broke tr cannot be replaced. 5) just returned the stand to the store. No empathy whatsoever from the staff. DO NOT TRUST HOME DEPOT OR THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY LIE! I ordered a new fridge and when it was delivered, there was a big dent in the front panel. So they told me to call customer service and they would take care of it. After calling they told me i'd have to wait 2 weeks and they would get me a new one. After I checked out the fridge further. I realized that it had damaged my laminate flooring while installing it. Taking out a inch size chunk where the wheel goes for the fridge. On top of that, they also Damage the driveway. I reported this when I called customer service and was told that it would take two weeks to get the new fridge in and that I would be getting a call about the damage that was done. I called multiple times and they always said someone would call me and no one ever called. Then 2 weeks comes and they deliver the NEW fridge and the outside looked Great, I was happy. When I looked inside the manual and papers were taped to the side of the fridge. I didn't think anything of it. Once the installors had left. I grabbed the manual to read it, realizing that there was a big scratch that had been HIDDEN behind the manuals. At that point I was so frustrated with the process. I figured the blemish wasn't on the outside, I'll just live with it. Then during the night there was this horrendous noise that started and lasted between 15 and 30 seconds. I didn't know what it was at first it took me a couple days of this happening maybe once a day when I was home and finally I figured it out. It was the NEW fridge, the noise is coming from the side of the fridge that was damaged that was supposed to be NEW the fridge they gave me was not new. How do you damage a new fridge on the inside? I am out of state or I contacted the flooring department by phone. Before contacting them I called their installer who said that they could do the install right away, as long as it was INSTOCK. When I spoke to Home Depot I asked many things, is it in stock. Yes, we have a lot of it. That won't be a problem. When they gave me the final price I said plus tax. I held while she asked her supervisor who said that includes the tax. It didn't. And the price she gave me was off by over $500. Then, it was not in stock and had to be ordered. Finally, when I came in they said they couldn't get it to us in time for the install. The install their people were doing! So we hired our own people to pick it up. And they refunded the delivery charge, DELIVERY CHARGE? FOR YOUR PEOPLE TO INSTALL THE ITEMS THAT WERE NOT IN FACT INSTOCK. And it doesn't end here. A box was damaged and so was the flooring. They couldn't get it replaced in time to complete the install. So the cheap, lousy customer service, liars gave it to us for 1/2 off saying we could cut the pieces to use in places that it wouldn't show, WTF! I was just told by my Realitor. At this point I would gladly dump all their stuff at their door. I have two more houses to do. Guess what. I was ordering flooring today. Not from them. I will pay more if need be just so I don't have to order thru Home Depot. This is without a doubt the worst Customer Service on about 5 different issues! Not acceptable. After about 4 consecutive bad experiences in this store I felt the need to take it to Yelp. I find it fascinating that on the Home Depot website this store gets a 94% good rating but here on Yelp, 2 out of 5 stars (much more accurate). There are a few helpful people working in this store, paint and a few others, but some of the old codgers on the payroll should NOT be working with the general public. They're obviously not happy to be working at ALL. I have been looked at with disgust for asking a simple question and today received a phone call from my irate 17-year-old daughter after she and 2 other customers were trying to get a key made. Apparently that was too much for the rude old man working the key department. Most places have a do-it-yourself machine that is much more convenient and far less rude than this guy. Glad they're keeping America working but some people shouldn't be working if they can't deal with the pressure of making a KEY! I'm not bashing elderly people. I have respect for my elders, but I don't respect someone who thinks we owe them a living and they can treat the customer like garbage. While this is a typical Home Depot in terms of layout and products, I have found the employees to be split into two groups: the competent and the incompetent. At this point, after several months of encountering the plethora of HD employees who are "licensed contractors," I have discovered that they are the *last people on earth* you want to discuss your projects with. Toddlers with Tonka toys have equal experience and conviction. However, the humble employees who do not misrepresent their skills and qualifications have been extremely helpful in providing service and recommendations for our home renovation projects. Find these people as they will be honest and forthcoming about the complexity of your projects. I entered the store looking for a specific item, but did not know where it was. Ifigured I would ask the first representative that offered to help, and that would be it. I passed FIVE representatives, obviously looking around with that lost customer look, not a single one asked if they could help, or if I had found what I was looking for, most would not even meet my eyes. When I finally found what I was looking for, still without even a node from an associate, there was a cart in front of it. I moved the cart slightly to the side, then an associate approached, I thought finally someone was going to ask if I needed anything. My husband and I got a rental truck for a few hours here. When we got inside the store to get it, the lady at the customer service wasn't very friendly. We got the truck and when it was time to bring it back the other employees at the front desk were also rude: they immediately just asked for a gas receipt that we were never asked to keep when we returned the truck. We told them the employer didn't tell us to keep it and one employee snatched the keys up to go "check" if it was full. The experience here honestly is not worth getting a rental, I for sure won't be using this service again. read more

Just terrible customer service. You want a dozen bags of bark loaded - you can just forget that! All employees with loading credentials are allowed to hide out in the backroom. I come here for gardening supplies, household items (we bought our grill here) and the occasional free workshops they offer. I have found the customer service to be very good. Their workshops are generally very informative, although they are occasionally a bit disorganized. For one that I signed up for, there was confusion about who would run it, and the person who ended up leading it was clearly not prepared to do so although he made a good effort. I do really appreciate that they offer these free workshops,and this is part of the reason why I do a lot of my shopping here. read more

He was 30 minutes late to meet and really bummed out my clients with his unwillingness to take any responsibility.. I will never recommend Home Depot installation for anything. Don't get anything keyed here. We made the mistake of doing so. We bought new locks, brought in the 2 old keys with them to see if the locks could be salvaged first. We ended up buying new locks and had them keyed the same. We were supposed to get four new keys. He gave us 4 all right, saying he'd thrown out the old ones. When we got home to try them, turns out he'd thrown out 2 of the new ones and kept 2 of the old. Then, after using the locks for a day, the keys no longer worked and we could not get back in our house! We called a mobile locksmith. He took one look at the problem and asked, "Did you get these done at Home Depot?" To our, "yes" he said, "I get an awful lot of business off of their work." The guy had keyed them a-l-m-o-s-t correctly, so that they worked the first couple of times, but no more. The Locksmith fixed the problem. The manufacturer informed him this floor model was made in 2010. It is now 2015. He paid $2k. For a floor model that had been on the floor since 2010. Why do companies do this?
