Went to pick up a locker order at 7:40pm on Sunday for a project I needed to finish up. Online and on their doors it states they close at 8:00pm. All doors were locked. Only soul around was a security guard. I am an avid Home Depot goer, but the Norman location needs some serious service work. I have also had several curbside pick up orders that have taken 30+ minutes to bring out to my car. The only reason it didn't take longer is because I called to ask what the status was. I understand they may be understaffed, but don't offer curbside pick up if you cannot promptly bring the orders out. And update the hours if you are going to close prior to the listed time on your doors and website. read more

Don't use this Home Depot for a Penske truck rental pick up. The truck is sitting in the lot but it must have teleported here because somehow no one has the keys for it. Dalton deserves a raise, I will start with that. We were looking to buy a grill, he helped us find the one that worked best for us. Then he helped us apply for and get approved for the Home Depot card. As if that wasn't enough, The grill wings made it too large to fit into our SUV. Dalton then went and got some tools, took a part the wings and then helped us load the grill. I am extremely thankful and appreciative for everything Dalton did to help us. I was disrespected by the appliance department. They paid me zero attention because I look young. I should have taken my business elsewhere at that point. I still bought a new washer and dryer from them. When I finally talked someone into doing their job. I clarified endlessly which one I wanted. Yeah. Not the one that got delivered. Unfortunately I was not here to refuse the delivery. Now I have to pay for another washer upfront or wait for this one to be picked back up and returned. And then a new one ordered. All they can offer is a loaner washer. I've used Home Depot for all of my home repair needs. I'll be rethinking in the future. read more

Just one checkout line with a person then all the self check out registers. No line Mgmt, people not seeing where the line started and stopped. Considering some of the items don't have SKUs and have to be looked up it's a nightmare. Also they don't mark their aisle signs very well with what's on the aisle. read more

We ordered a new ice box after the one we wanted wasn't available. The staff and salesperson was very helpful but we had to wait almost a week for the delivery. Day of the delivery, I get a call from the delivery driver and they said they were 30 minutes away and I told them to call so they wouldn't get lost. My wife talked to them as well and after a couple of hours later, I checked with my wife to see if it was delivered. Nothing. I called the delivery guy back and they said no one was home. They tried lying about being at the correct address and they were at the wrong location. Help desk was helpful but now I have to wait another week before they will deliver it to us and it was their fault and they were joking about having an ice box left in the truck whenever I talked to them and they swore they were there. So freaking mad. I will never buy anything from here again even if I have to pay more somewhere else. read more

If they don't have it they will locate it for you and even will do an online order for you. Self check out is great when you're in a hurry with a few items. You know you're in a Home Depot when.... You walk in and smell rubber, tools and sweat. Seriously. Well, I guess it also depends on what part of the warehouse you go to, but Home Depot has that hard working man smell to it don't you think? Anyhow... The workers are knowledgeable, shelves are stocked BUT I've run into instances where they run out of the ONE thing I really need. Aw well. Kudos on the self check out. My husband and were in the market to have some carpet replaced with laminate flooring. My husband wanted to use a place like Mill Creek or Lumber Liquidators, but I convinced him that Home Depot would be just as good and probably cost less. So we went to Home Depot and were assured that their installers we wonderful and that if there was any problem we knew where to find them! So we went ahead with Home Depot. First they estimated the cost to move our furniture at $50. Then when the guy came to measure they changed that to $600 saying out furniture was too heavy and they needed to charge $100 per item. We have two couches a dining room table and chairs and a china cabinet as well as a tv on a stand (the stand in only waist high and not that heavy), and a 20 gallon fish tank. I'm not sure what furniture they think people have, giving estimates of $50, but I think our furniture is pretty standard. Certainly nothing that warrants a $550 difference. If we were moving, most movers would have charged $800 to move ALL our furniture. So whatever, charge what you want, but give an adequate estimate. So we decided we would move our own furniture. They had to special order some transition pieces, and that was fine. They said they would most likely be in on the 2nd but that they would call us when it was all ready for us to pick up. On the 4th we hadn't heard from them so we called and it was in, but no one had called. Then on installation day I had a doctors appointment, so my husband had to leave the house with our kids, we have 3 small children. So my husband was dropping them off at grandmas and coming back, but we left the front door open for installers. They called to let us know they were on their way, so they had our number. Before my husband headed back over he called to see how it was going, they informed him that the slab was uneven and that we would need to get that fixed before we could have our floor laid. Why didn't they call us? By the time my husband got there they had left. They had removed the carpet, which was good, but they left all the tack strips! So my husband called Home Depot who then called the contractors to come remove the tack strips, but they never called or showed up. So my husband and Father spent their afternoon removing all the tack strips (something we had already paid them to do as part of the carpet removal) so our kids could come home. It is pretty ridiculous that their installers can't fix an uneven slab, that should be part of installing flooring, but they should have at least finished the carpet removal. At this point we are planning to use an installer who can level the floor and do the installation. And only pay Home Depot for the product. Which will require us getting a partial refund bc we have already paid for it all. We're pretty disappointed, and I have to humbly admit my husband was right. We should have gone with a slightly more expensive installer and saved ourselves some grief! read more

The Home Depot used to be a company that didn't offer excuses but simply got the job done for its customers. Sadly, I believe those days are over. Why? My wife and I purchased a new dishwasher from the Norman store in November. We were told we would receive it on December 3rd, almost a month of waiting. We patiently waited. I received notice it would be delivered and installed on December 2nd. When the installer looked under our counter, prior to installing the dishwasher, he found a corroded water valve. He told my wife he couldn't complete the install because the connected line would leak. He emailed Home Depot requesting they have a plumber call me within 48 hours. That would have been Friday. Friday came and went without a call. I went the The Home Depot in Norman to seek resolution. The attitude from the assistant manager I dealt with was horrible. She told me I could pay for my own plumber to change the valve and complete the installation or wait for their "courtesy" plumber to call me when he could. Customer service went right out the window. I guess they believe since I paid for installation I was now at their mercy. I can't be home for all this because I cannot work from home. My wife does work from home but has to sometimes go to her office so this limits her availability. I explained this and was met with an attitude that said "I don't really care." The Home Depot basically said you bought an appliance and you will do things our way or too bad. So my question to The Home Depot is are they going to make this customer happy? This customer has bought several appliances from them, had them installed, and not ever had poor customer service or problems of this magnitude before. And before someone says I should have gone to Lowe's, don't! They haven't been an option for a long time. Their customer service went downhill a long time ago. So, The Home Depot better make sure I'm happy before the end of the week or every news channel in the OKC area with an investigative reporter or a reporter who "is in the consumer's corner" will be getting a call. And The Home Depot will be getting a call to their home office in Atlanta and some really bad publicity. The Home Depot, your Norman store will either save you or make you look really bad. Needed new refrigerator. Called, used online chat feature many times over a 10 day period. Told nothing available. Nearly gave up but called Norman store one more time. Man in appliance dept said they had 9 refrigerators in their warehouse that would fit my kitchen. Told him I would drive to town to order it and he recommended I just order online. I did. Payment sent via PayPal. Got receipt and email saying my order was complete and would be delivered in 8 days. Then I got an email saying from HD but, looked like spam. I went to Norman store to check on the delivery. Clerk told me the order was cancelled because they couldn't process PayPal payment. She told me that many orders have been cancelled for that reason. I spoke with manager and he offered no help. No apology. I asked why they offer a payment option for PayPal if they can't figure out how to process a payment. He did not have an answer. TERRIBLE customer service. Doubt we will ever shop there again. read more

Purchased over $3200 in appliances, and could not be more disappointed. The delivery of our appliances was scheduled on two separate occasions and no one showed up both times. I called and was told that it was the delivery companies fault and Home Depot was as "frustrated" as I was. When the appliances were actually delivered, they showed up without me having any knowledge they were coming, causing me to leave work again. As they unloaded the appliances I was told they didn't have the microwave because it was crushed in the warehouse. This was the first I had heard of this. I had to call the Norman Home Depot to make them aware. No one could tell me where my microwave was and when I could expect a new one. 1 month later it was delivered - (this was after Lisa, the Appliance manager offered me a floor model at the current full price.) This was also after calling the corporate office twice and the Norman store 5+ times. Throughout this entire process I was told they would get back to me on any discount or refund and no one ever called. I called back several times to check on the status and was always promised a return call, but it never came. The blame was continually put on the delivery company, even though Home Depot is ultimately in charge. I finally got a hold of the customer service representative at the Norman store and was told they could install my appliances for me since they had to be stored in the garage due to the unexpected delivery. After not hearing anything for several days, I called back and was told if I wanted to have the appliances installed I would need to pay for it. After talking to Lisa again and letting her know how disappointed I was in this entire process, I was offered $100 back on the order OR free installation of the microwave (a $100 value). Overall, this experience could not have been worse and I would not recommend this store to anyone who is looking at making a large purchase. read more

I would love to name the person responsible for this review at Home Depot Norman on Ed Noble, but that store is so unethical there is no telling what they would do. If you want your life turned upside down and deal with the most incompetent people in the history of customer, then this is your store. Two weeks ago we bought $3500.00 in appliances, $2500.00 in flooring and were going to be charged $1000.00 for install. A week ago my friend went to pay the balance and schedule installation of flooring. The "person" we dealt with (who said she was a manager, which if true, Home Depot seriously needs to up their game when promoting people) called the installer, who said the first opening was Sept. 8. My friend told her to schedule it because he was closing on his house on Sept. 7. Based on that fact, we scheduled cleaning and a number of deliveries the following week. On Sept. 7, my friend went back to the store to see what time they would begin. The "person" he originally dealt with pulled up the schedule only to say we weren't scheduled. She blamed the installer and said she would see what she could do. A number of very heated calls from me (after a total of about 45 minutes on hold all day) and calls from him to an assistant manager and the "person" resulted in promises to try to fix it. Their solution was to have the installer call my friend to say he would do it Sept. 12. Not good enough. So Sept. 7 ended with no resolution. On Sept. 8, the original install date, the "person" said they would use their remodel people for the install and they could do it Sept. 9. My friend was leaving town Sept. 10 for a funeral and the "person" knew that. She never said it would take more than one day at any time: not when we bought the flooring, when he paid for it, in the cluster of calls yesterday. Not until today, after saying it would be installed tomorrow, did she call back an hour later to say it would probably take more than a day and since he couldn't be there Saturday, they didn't think they could schedule it on the 9th, but they would work on it. After more heated phone calls and no resolution, at 3:30 p.m. my friend finally agreed to cancel the $3500.00 in appliances but decided to keep the flooring to expedite the process of getting it laid. And during all this, except for twice, store management's solution as to who best to handle the problem was to have the "person" who caused this fiasco to begin with answer the calls and run interference. Yeah, seriously bad business. I have had to cancel all the things I had scheduled for next week while we give our business to someone who will appreciate it. And given the level...or lack thereof... of customer service at this Home Depot, that would be anyone on the planet except them. So, again, if you want to deal with incompetent people, have your life turned upside down and experience the absolute worst customer service ever, then go to the Home Depot on Ed Noble Pkwy. You will not be disappointed. As an aside, business must be really good there....at no time did the store manager call my friend to see what he could do to keep his business. Nice... read more
