We've been frequent customers, forever, and never run into problems until Feb. 2025. During the first week after purchasing a new washing machine; it proved itself very disappointing in its operation. Then we discovered, we could not exchange it because we had used it. This was obviously devastating to hear after a large expense. I would never have made the purchase had I known the risk. I am now stuck with an expensive appliance in which I have found to inherently under-perform . We will no longer risk making large purchases from Lowe's. read more

Less than 1 star! Bought a mini fridge from Lowes right before Christmas and sales man said I had 30 days to bring it back if it didn't fit space... I got it back to them way before 30 days and was told they had a 48 hr policy for bringing appliances back. This was a mini fridge that was never taken out of the box... Didn't know till I gave it for Christmas present it was the same size as the recipient already had...so I thought I could trade it for larger size. I went to Lowes to buy some porch stain a few days ago. The price on the Lowes app showed $39.98 but on the shelf it shows $44.99. I showed the nice lady the price difference and she rang it up as $39.98. Fast forward a few days later and I need another gallon. I send my wife to the store and they won't honor the difference. The service is just awful. I needed to cut a 1 in x 8 in x 4ft board. I let them know that I need it cut, they say the "cutting guy" is outside. What is the guy whose only job is to man the station doing outside?! Beats me! Then after about 15 minutes he shows up taking his time waking to the cutting station. Then he says he can't make any cuts under 12" wide. Now, Lowe's is appealing to costumers by saying get DIY projects cut here. What kind of a DIY involves only over 12" wide wood?! Are we DYI-ing the Trojan horse? They also make you buy the board before even letting you at the cutting station so that they can tell you they essentially only cut house lumber then haha What an unpleasant guy and experience. Lowe's was closer to my house, gave it a shot. Will keep going to Home Depot. On a side note, unlike other employees I saw walking around, the "cutting guy" had awful personal hygiene. My husband called at 3:30 to make sure they had a Oklahoma joe longhorn combo in stock. Whoever spoke to him told him that they did and said that pre-assembling it would be no charge, just asked him what time he would be coming. My husband told him shortly after 5. We showed up at 5:10. My husband went to the customer service and told the desk who he talked to. Apparently the guy he talked to was out for lunch break. The desk further told him that they don't assemble items unless they are ordered online. They went to go and check to see if they even had one in stock. It showed they had 5, but they came back and told my husband to give them 30 minutes to pull it from storage. Finally we got the grill loaded 1 1/2 hours after arrival (though not assembled as was stated). read more

Absolutely the transaction from HELL! DO NOT under any circumstances purchase a generator from Lowes they do not stand behind anything or do anything to meet the obligations of their contract. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DELIVER THE GENERATOR. They did not. The installers showed up with no generator to install. The installation crew had to drive to Lowes and find the generator. We ordered a $3000 refrigerator from Lowe's in late May with a delivery date (promised by multiple sales representatives) of June 30, our move date. After not having heard from them 2 weeks before the scheduled delivery date, we contacted Lowe's for an update. We were first informed that our order had not arrived yet, but it would likely be delivered the following week. One week later, we contacted the store to check on the status. We were first updated that our order had been canceled and refunded. ... What?! After more conversation, it turned out that this information was completely inaccurate. Then we were transferred to another individual who informed us that our product was backordered from the manufacturer and would not arrive until a week after our move. We tried to explain our frustration and situation as we are moving into a new home and now have nowhere to store our food for a week. The people we talked to (on the phone with the local store, through corporate customer service, and in person) repeatedly blamed the manufacturer (which I'm sure is true). That being said, the sales representatives at Lowe's made important promises. We were later told that they knew the delivery date wasn't in their control as the product was on backorder at the time of sale. That's unacceptable. Be honest with your consumers and set realistic expectations. Additionally, the staff did not seem to care about the difficult situation this put us in. They stuck to their broken record of blaming the manufacturer rather than helping us problem solve and identify other solutions. They could have talked with us about low cost freezers or other refrigerator models available in store that we could purchase instead of waiting for our delivery. Bought it then told me to exit other side of building because doors were locked on that side due to close. Awful experience. Do not recommend coming here to do business. We went to check out and because the rebar doesn't have a bar code she asked us what the price is. (We had purchased the exact same rebar size earlier that day and the cashier had promptly looked up the price in her book.) So we said the price - $5.48 - and she said are you sure so my partner ran back to check. While he is back there I ask if it's in the book. She brings out the book and says no. (The same one that was used earlier to look up the same product.) When my partner gets back, tells her 5.48, she starts looking it up and says no that it's 5.98. And I said why don't we all go back and check. She takes an obscenely long amount of time, and when we get back to check the price she sees with her own eyes 5.48. She confirms that it's 5.48. We walk back to the register and she clicks the same button that said 5.98 and becomes rude and won't change it. Even though we had all confirmed it was 5.48. I'm not upset about the extra dollar. I'm just upset Marlin, who was working register #1, with glasses and a nose ring, was SO rude and purposely wasted all our time, to change nothing even though the facts were straight in her face. Whatever happened to customer service? They have hundreds of thousands of dollars inventory and you have to hunt down an employee to help you. I spent thirty minutes today trying to buy two shelves and needed help. There was no employee available from the front of the store all the way back to the appliance department. I walked to the front of the store and back twice and couldn't find anyone to help. I found a saw and some screws by myself and guess what...I had to go through the self-checkout area. The sad thing is, it's always like this. If they should ever get into financial distress, I could fix the problem in five minutes. Hire more help and help the customer with his/her needs. Very disappointed in the customer service I am receiving following a purchase. I was to receive a call yesterday to confirm delivery of my clothes dryer. I called Lowe's this morning to see why I had not been called. They had tried a number that I have not had since 2007. When I purchased the dryer, the sales person looked up the account by my current number, and never asked about any other numbers. They attempted to call the old number, but did not try any other numbers. I will now have to wait until Wednesday for delivery. Very unprofessional service. read more

DIY is not my forte. Door installation is certainly not where I excel in life... however, Mark, who works in the door department in the Norman, Oklahoma Lowe's, is the person you need when you need a door or window repaired or installed in your house or office! Mark is a rock star of patience, understanding, and kindness. I was not the easiest customer. I was full of questions and needed a lot of education. Mark was an excellent educator! His composure never cracked or lessened as he walked me through the mechanics of doors, how they are made, the differences in materials, construction, and what that meant to my projectS, installation issues which were special to my situations, etc. I have been comparison shopping and Lowe's products are better quality and offer more to choose from and their prices are more competitive too! Yay! to Lowe's for having such a great employee as Mark. I wish I would have gotten his last name but he is a shining example of professional, quality employee to those who remain among many mediocre or worse in the workplace. read more

I bought a range and had it delivered. Because I only had 48 hrs to return it I got someone to my house quickly to change the orifices over to propane for which I had to pay extra as an emergency. The stove was defective. I notified the salesman the same day, within 48 hours. However, when I called the store to have the stove picked up customer service told me it was over 48 hrs and they couldn't refund it. I asked to talk to the manager who passed the same information on to me via the customer service associate. I asked to speak directly to the manager who I explained that I "had" notified them within the 48 hours. He was rude and condescending. I called the customer care number, explained the issue and was given a case number with instructions to call them back if I didn't receive a call from the store within 24 hours. I did get a call back and the range was picked up quickly. However, I won't buy appliances there anymore with a 48 hour window. You can't even get an appliance installed in that timeframe. I ultimately bought from a designated appliance store. I have always purchased my appliances from the Norman Lowe's, but no more! read more

Very bad customer service. When I finally got someone to help me in plumbing, he almost immediately received a phone call that he answered and walked away. Maybe I should have called from the appropriate aisle? And the girl at customer service was not in the least helpful when I wanted to look at a riding mower. Staff is rude and the manager will not return calls about issues with staff, they were openly aggressive and rude to my wife. I have called to report the issue but the manager will not answer we have go In multiple times on different weeks and every time the staff was so rude and unhelpful, we have given them multiple chances and no member of management will call back, I recommend Home Depot in Norman as the Lowe's is awful. I like this place. I've never reviewed one of these fancy hardware stores before. It seems like theres really no room for any sort of wit but that's okay. I imagine the hardware store crowd to react to most punchlines with either an uncomfortable grunt or an overly feminine laugh, so perhaps a straightforward review is indeed the way to go. Ahem... So I call Lowe's and I go, "You got Sherwin-Williams in a can???" I know, that's terrible. They don't, by the way. They have Valspar and Olympic- 3 different grades, tons of colors, primers, stains... everything. Thats just the paint dept., which is constantly staffed by someone helpful. They have everything, and are helpful. What a boring thing to review, Lowe's! It is the Cadillac of home improvement warehouses, and I can seriously make a day out of it. I bring my coffee in and buy a book on, say, plumbing. Meander around for a while and compare power tools, pick up a couple Dremel bits, drool over chop-saws and other machines that are out of my league or I just don't need. I'll walk down the lumber aisles like I'm in Manhattan, gazing up at the huge stacks of lumber and the giant ironwork that supports it all. I love the garden section- its usually deserted and there are almost always birds around. If its nice outside they always have a huge selection of shiny gas grills or lawn-tractors. Brandon and his comrades have no integrity: an order that should take 4 weeks to deliver takes actually 5 months; they made my family freeze before the windows were delivered; they damaged my residence during the installation and have refused to reimburse for the expenses I incurred out of pocket as a result of the unskilled poor install. On May 11th 2019 I ordered a new washer and dryer and pedestals from Lowes. The appliance department was very e\helpful but they did not have the appliances in stock I ordered so I was going to have to wait. I called the appliance department numerous times yesterday and today to check on when the delivery would be and nobody every answered the phone until today I got PHIL REECE, one of the managers. It was my lucky day. He found the washer on the computer and told me he would go search for the dryer and pedestals and call me back in 15 minutes. Well he called me back in 15 minutes and had found them and scheduled a delivery for this coming week. Now that is what I call going above and beyond in customer service. Lowes is always clean and organized. They are generally well staffed with very knowledgeable employees. We have made use of their delivery and install services, and they are definitely worth it, as they are prompt to deliver and install. When it's time to work on landscaping, they tend to have good value and variety. We keep going back and getting what we need every few months. read more
