This Home Depot store rents tools. The hubs and I decided to get rid of the ugly, worn out carpet in our living room and stain the concrete underneath. Okay, obviously I decided that and he lost the argument. Nonetheless, we needed to rent a large industrial type sander to sand the existing sealer off of the concrete. We called the Home Depot by our house and they informed us they don't rent tools and suggested another company that just happened to be closed on Saturdays. We called this Home Depot location and spoke with a helpful lady who informed us they do rent tools and they had several sanders available, so off we went. When we arrived, we met the same helpful customer service rep we spoke with on the phone and she helped us choose which type of sander to use and select pads. She showed us how to use it and rang us up. Later that night, after we finished with the sander, we returned it to another very helpful and friendly customer service rep. She also processed our return on the pad we didn't use. The total rental was about $65, plus the cost of the sanding pads. There is a $150 deposit, but they refund the balance quickly after you return the tool. They rent a large variety of tools, both indoor and outdoor tools. If you get ambitious enough to do your own floors and need a big sander, or decide to till up your garden, this Home Depot is the best place around to rent tools. read more

I can't anything handled unless unless you I to the store face to face .. ordered a burglar bar months ago... and I mean do months .I understand it had to be custom made ... i finally got an installment date .. I took off work without pay to have it installed.. I waited and waited no one answered the phone all morning from Harrison remodeling to give me a time frame I finally got Home Depot on the line after being sent to vm and hung up on for about 30 mins only to find out no one is coming because they ordered the wrong door!!! My issues is not only did i take off work for nothing but no one at Harrison remodeling nor home depot have the decency to call me to inform me they wasn't coming I didn't know until I called! I requested a refund because I dont do business with ppl who is unprofessional! read more

I'm a huge Gulfport Lowe's fan because of their outstanding customer service. I never received great service at the Gulfport Home Depot so I gave up on them and I only shop Lowe's. Well today me and Mom are out and about and needed some stuff for the houses. We went to this Home Depot because it was easy to get in and out of in the big ole diesel pickup lol. I am happy to say the employees at this store were every bit as nice and helpful as my beloved Gulfport Lowe's. We had to hit several sections of the store and everyone we came across was great and knew where stuff was. It's a refreshing change from your typical Walmart trip where none of the employees know a darn thing. I'm curious if Mobile is just a friendlier City in general. I am in the military and was visiting this store last week to make a purchase. While checking out in my dress uniform, the clerk decided to go on an Anti-Trump rant to me about the President how she feels about him. There were other customers in the area lining up to also check out and I hate that this situation potentially gave the impression that I was involved in the conversation, because I wasn't. I ignored her and went on my way. I'm disappointed because this is the last place I should have to worry about being forced to hear about politics, especially loudly and negatively, when by law, I'm not authorized to engage in such a conversation. read more

Tried for three days to have a delivery date set up. Ladies at the service counter tell me when I call they are busy call back later? I call back later and no one answers. Finally come in the store and the ladies at the service counter are all chatting amongst themselves and act too busy to help me and others waiting st the counter many people start grumbling. Wow... talk about trying hard.... I am not sure if this is a result of their taking a hit from the internet hacking incident but for now this is the store to go to if you need anything in home supplies, tools, remodeling, gardening etc..... the people are unbelievably helpful and friendly...I think they realize that the more happy customers the more job security. It is kind of the Publix of this type of store.....if you want a contrast go to the Lowes on the beltline and try to get served or try to get help...or try to find anyone in the aisles or helping customers.... (it simply is not there)..... then go here and once again the sun shines.... friendly professional helpful people...wow...maybe a good internet hacking every once in a while is what a chain needs to shock them into being what they started out to be..bravo Home Depot! read more

Home Depot says they give a military discount to make themselves look like they support our troops, but actually they don't.... I asked the clerk prior to ringing up my large order if they gave a military discount and she replied, yes we do. When the order was finished I noticed no discount. I told the lady she must have forgotten the discount, she said no sir, we only give a discount on "certain items". I asked what those certain items were and she didn't even know! Don't get me wrong, I truly appreciate businesses that honor our troops but to declare to the world that they give a military discount when they only give a discount to "certain items" is trickery, and in my opinion, is done to make themselves look good in the public eye. read more

We simply wanted to purchase an exterior door and replace two 24" interior closet doors and installation service. Should have been fairly simple. We didn't mind waiting if Covid added unexpected wait time. We are selling our house and wanted everything to be as nice as possible. It has turned out to be the biggest nightmare. The epitome of incompetence all the way around. Two work orders were made up for some reason. We paid for the exterior door to be manufactured. The door was manufactured before the installer came out to measure. Finally the installer came out to measure 5 weeks after the door was paid for. We waited days and finally visited Home Depot to see what our next step should be. The guy in the door dept. gave us two installer numbers to call. We didn't know which one already came out so we guessed at who to call. The installed said he was the one who came out to measure but has to wait for Home Depot to contact him with a work order as he already entered the measurements, meanwhile the already manufactured door is ready and we hope it will fit. Called Home Depot again and they said, no they will call the installer, not us. But, we were given the numbers the day before by Home Depot to call the installer ourselves. Now they say we haven't paid for the exterior door and we are on our way to Home Depot now with receipt in hand. Even in the Covid era this kind of severe incompetence should not be. We may never get these doors installed, by Home Depot anyway, if they can't figure out how to do it. read more

Our two yorkies enjoy going to Home Depot everyone greets them. They get an outing and we get the items we need. Great experience. So much better then Lowes.
