I purchased new appliances for kitchen remodel. DId not expect it to go well because that hasn't been my past experience at any of the box stores. I was pleasingly surprised and had the best experience. Our appliance specialist was Michael Krieger at the Manhattan, Kansas location. He was great. He helped me through the process, looked up things that weren't available on the floor and I was on my way in a very short time with delivery set up and an explanation of that plan as well. Management does a very nice job at this location (Manhattan, Kansas), and has so for many years. Manager Eric Pittenger is excellent and always puts the customer first. The Pro-desk is efficient, and although one of our favorites (David) retired not long ago, they continue to do right by the contractors/home builders. Although the square footage at this location doesn't content with the other 'big-box' hardware store in town, they do a very good job competing and offer many quality products that the other doesn't (Lifeproof Flooring, Behr Paints, Milwaukee-Ridgid-Bosch-Dewalt power tools). I recently purchased a Samsung BeSpoke glass front refrigerator from the Manhattan HomeDepot. This particular guy not has 4 glass panels. The sale price was $2498.00. At checkout I was told that the unit did not come with the glass panels me that they had to be purchased separately. This seemed strange because the display had the glass panels and mentioned nothing about having to buy them separately. But I want the refrigerator so I bought the panels for an additional cost of $400.00. 2 weeks later when the unit was delivered it had the panels installed plus the 4 extra panels I bought that were not needed. Long story shot I now have extra panels that HomeDepot will not take back that I didn't want in the first place. The customer service rep did offer me a $50 gift card. read more

I bought four appliances and expected it would qualify for their $400 discount. However, even though the sign says it's for any four appliances, what the sign should say is KITCHEN appliances. The appliances were delivered on Tuesday, but I only discovered on Friday that the washing machine doesn't work. It locks the door and fills with some water, but then it ends. I had run previous loads but because the clothes were wet, I thought my clothes were clean. Home Depot will only guarantee their appliances for 48 hours after delivery, so i have to get a brand new appliance repaired through the manufacturer!!!¡ The dishwasher wasn't installed properly, but because it was not what I ordered, I thought it was due to it being a different model. I ordered at the store rather than online because I thought I would get the four appliances at the %400 discount in the store. What a mess. Needless to say, I canceled my flooring. read more

If you don't want to be scammed and given the runaround, do not order flooring from the Manhattan Kansas Home Depot. The initial problem when I ordered flooring from here was that they did not send enough flooring to complete the project. When I called the store to inform them the employee/managers who I spoke with communicated to me that I would be getting a call back from a service pro. I had not received a call for a few days, so I decided to call back. Long story short, no one was able to give me any answers this time around, so I proceeded to call customer service. When talking with customer service they communicated to me that my project had already been complete according to their system. I called my local store back and demanded to know what was going on. Again, I was told that I would be getting a call back from the service pro and get my questions answered that same day and again I didn't hear a thing from anyone at the store. When I called back the next day I was finally told that they had my product in the back and that I was going to be charged another $90 to have that little bit of flooring delivered to me.......... like I said, long story short. There was so much more that went on over the course of a month. Me calling and begging for help and no one responding or caring. Not only did they not get me enough material to finish my project initially but then they wanted me to pay more money for their mistake. I beg you, go absolutely any where else for your flooring needs. read more

This place is great & everyone is always so helpful & easy to find, but w a new place in town...home depot lacks on so many levels. I loved this place when it was my only option but we just did a search for an item & hIome depot couldnt even provide it!! It is sad to say but I may never visit this home depot again! Horrible customer service. Usually when coming here we don't need much assistance. However, today we were needing help finding some insulation. After asking 5 employees for help and each one saying "I'll be right with you", we waited another 20 minutes and no one came back. We ended up driving to the complete other side of town and taking our business to Menards because they actually care about customer service. I recommend Menards over Home Depot from now on. read more

Drove past Menards to come to Home Depot only to be shuffled out of the aisle with 2 other customers looking to buy power washers, just so they could get a pallet down, took over 15 minutes, went to look at another aisle for something else I needed, also shut down for a forklift. Ridiculous, so we just left. Guess I'll stick with Menards since it's closer anyways. read more

Still a great store, great selections, very competitive pricing and always something to build or update. I have to unfortunately take away one star due to my recent experience. I was shopping for light switches whem i encountered a small group (4-5) of employees 18-25yrs old) standing around....not working....not stocking....not helping anyone...anyway, i noticed their conversation. They were very audible from halway down the isle. For a good 5 minutes all they were talking about was how they would shoot people coming onto their property. No reference to why or what type of people...just that they would do so. As i checked out, a manager was at the register. I told her about her employees' conversations and she nearly lost it, is how upset she got. As i began walking out i turned around seeing her half-way sprint towards the back of the store. -1* for violence oriented and vulgar languaged staff. If my kids were with me i would have definitely approached them. read more

Been shopping here for YEARS. Good Location, huge selection, friendly staff, store is organized more customer-friendly than Menard's IMO.

I'm am extremely impressed with the continued customer service we receive each time we visit them. In comparison with Menards or Lowes they are heads and shoulders above others. Thank you to the training or consciousness of everyone involved that makes such happens. read more

Unknown to me, Home Depot in Manhattan has arranged for a delivery company named Linn Star Transfer (out of Kansas City) to provide their delivery and installation services for appliances purchased at this store. The experience I had with Linn Star was horrible!! The drivers are incompetent, lazy and unprofessional. Upon trying to fix the issue and address my concerns as the purchaser of the appliance and installation from Home Depot, the lazy customer service department at Linn Star Transfer was worthless as well. Ultimately, the intended services and product that I purchased from the very helpful salesperson person at Home Depot in Manhattan was not successfully completed by Linn Star Transfer. This had nothing to do with Home Depot (other than choosing a horrible delivery service), it was everything about Linn Star Transfer failing to provide the service they were hired to do. That being said, BEWARE of what company comes to your home to provide installation of products purchased from this Home Depot. You will not always get what you pay for!!! read more
