The service here is ALWAYS terrible! Just walked out leaving a cart full of items. Must have seen 7-8 employees with nothing to do, but self checkout line is out in the isle. Displays and merchandise in the isles as if nobody has a lumber cart to push through? Convenience and safety issue I think. Selection sucks... inventory is never accurate and I was told again I can "order it online". If I wanted to order online I use Amazon! Poor reflection on management. I built a small cabin using materials I bought from HD Kingman. The siding I purchased was supposed to be top quality and I paid about $50/sheet. I bought it last July/August, I sealed it in my garage with Kilz before hauling to the site, and installed it in mid-September. I hung it and painted it immediately. In April I started seeing delamination throughout 50% of the 16 sheets I purchased. I took pictures, with the metadata showing when they were taken in April of this year. Home Depot is doing nothing about it other than offering me a small store credit for the defective product. They said they went to the manufacturer and they don't guarantee after 90 days. It's SIDING. It's MADE for exterior installation. It's garbage, Home Depot is selling it, and they won't do anything about making it right. Ace hardware, Here I come. Home Depot used to be fun 20 years ago. I've dreaded having to go there any time since then. However, tonight was different. There was an exceptional employee named Mark who helped us with fasteners and brackets. The dude in Lumber was good too, but Mark used old school customer service skills, and it was refreshing. The shopping at Home Depot experience still wasn't as fun as it used to be; it did not stimulate my creative side or make me want to build something. DO NOT GO THRU HOME DEPOT FOR YOUR FLOORING PROJECTS!!!! I can't believe 1 job could be so HORRIFFIC! My elderly mom found some 18" tile on clearance and decided she would like her tile replaced. We made an appointment to have the area measured. That part was fabulous. After the measurements were in, we went to place the actual job order. Grout color baseboard etc. A few weeks go by and 2 pallets of supplies get delivered. They forgot the baseboard and had to make another trip. Not the end of the world....but things can add up, and BOY DO THEY! I recieved a text message stating what day the tile guys would show up and between the hours of 9 & 11. If I had any questions reach out to that number or refer to my email. I NEVER received said email! That was an important email.....it explained what to expect! We would have set up a section in the master area for a coffee station etc. Weren't able to do that because WE DIDNT GET THE EMAIL. At five after 11 on the day the job was to start I called Western States Flooring, the company Home Depot sent to my home. I ask if the job was still on the calendar for that day. "OH, are they not there"? No, they aren't. "I'll call them & call you right back". They called back and said the guys GPS said they were still an hour out. 15 minutes later the 1 English speaking guy calls and says he's an hour and thirty minutes out. When they get to the house they ask me to walk them thru the job....where the tile should be laid. They started tearing out the old tile. With sledge hammers and crow bars......that was the extent of their EQUIPMENT. They then asked me where the dumpster was.....I pd 9K for this job, the dumpster was their responsibility, they argued with me and said NO, Home Depot is responsible. I called Sassy the flooring specialist who took the order, she explains to me NO, tell them to contact their boss. I pd Home Depot for a job. Why am I having to do this back n forth stuff? NO DUMPSTER EVER SHOWED UP! The tile guy asked on at least 3 different occasions if they could dispose of the debris in our trash. NOPE! These workers broke 5 boxes of tile that they say we were shorted, Home Depot says they didn't short anything.....Home Depot will re order 5 more boxes......while waiting....they have tiled everything EXCEPT 2 bathrooms and back door entry area. Bathrooms should be first not last, so the family has WORKING TOILETS! Today, 2 toilets are still not in. The workers left the old baseboards with 4 inch nails sticking out of them at the end of our driveway sidewalk area for 3 days! An ABSOLUTE HAZARD! If someone had gotten injured we could have been sued! The tile guys spit WADS of chewing gum all over our driveway and front entry courtyard area. You know was gum does in Arizona heat in the summer .... the tile workers shoved our toilet drains full of debris, garbage and their tile spacers. They also threw their snack garbage throughout our yard. The last tile day they weren't at the house 2 hours twinset tiled and grouted....no time for thin set to cure. They have "reassured" me that it's "special thinest" it's able to be grouted immediately. We shall see! My mom is a huge gardener, we have a trash can in the backyard that mom puts all her trimmings in when she prunes her roses. She goes out to prune and can't pull the can she so easily drags around the yard....BECAUSE THE TILE GUYS DECIDED TO EMPTY THEIR SHOP VAC IN THE CAN AND PUT A PILE OF LEAVES OVER IT TO HIDE IT! DO YOU KNOW THE KIND OF INJURY THAT CAN OCCUR ON AN 80 yr old woman who thinks she's gonna tug on a light can and it doesn't budge!!!! Baseboard guy showed up and forgets 2 areas..... I take pics and head to Home Depot AGAIN. While at Home Depot I'm handed Sassys business card that she's written Western States Flooring email on and she tells me to email them.....AGAIN.....WHY IS THAT ON ME? I PD 9K TO YOU! I'm also told there's a $10 gift card at customer service and a box of tile....went from 5 to 1. I waited OVER 1 HOUR they never found the box of tile and the gift card.....was NO gift card at all! They did some SHADY AF book keeping and asked me to sign the signature pad for a $913 return, of which I was gonna get $10.19. WTF? No, I'm not signing that! No Mgr and NO tile and NO gift card for over an hour! I left pissed and empty handed. Candido the regional MGR Tells me he'll bring 2 colors of kickplate and get it fixed and apologize for all the "stuff". Home Depot decided to give me a "discount: of $500 for the inconvenience the day I was there over an hour with no resolution. Their book keeping shenanigans get better n better. For that $515@change they AGAIN wanted me to sign the signature pad for a return of over 2K for $515.... What is going on with Home Depot BOOK KEEPING? I'm Sorry but that is SHADY! Attention Military Veterans! I have been working on a home restoration project for about a year now. I have always preferred Lowes and went with them exclusively when Home Depot went to self checkout. Unfortunately, when I moved to the Kingman Arizona area I had to start shopping Home Depot again because they have the monopoly here, with the closest Lowes all the way in Prescott or Bullhead City! I think I will be making the trip to Lowes from now on after todays experience. I went to Home Depot today and spent over 3 hours in the store. Mostly due to the fact I had to wait nearly an hour for someone to pull down a pallet of lumber. The place was short of product and picked through like it was noon on Black Friday or something. The Garden Department had nothing...it was an empty concrete slab. I purchased $1000 worth of product from nearly every department...doors, lumber, trim, drywall mud, tape, cleaning supplies, tools, lighting, and even a Wyze camera. At checkout, I entered my pro/military account info and when everything rang up...no discount? Even the cashier asked me if I had entered my number because she saw no discounts after entering my job name. So, after loading my truck I went back in and waited AGAIN for the customer service representative to ring up every single purchased item on my receipt, to tell me NOTHING I purchased was worthy of a military discount according to Home Depot? So what does a veteran buy at a home improvment store which is worthy of a 10% military discounted? ...an over-priced 4 dollar candy bar, some toilet paper, a light bulb maybe? Well, I dont know because nothing I purchased apparently was! I have been noticing that more and more items have been removed from the discount program lately. Do you think they are losing money to the point they can't support veterans, I think not! Here is some food for thought veterans... They sent a team to my home to install a pedestal for my dryer. They turned the water off to my washer and forgot to turn it back on. I'm over 70 years old and I'm disabled. I tried reaching the water valves and couldn't. They said they would try and correct this possibly at the end of next week. read more

Water heater went out so I ordered one online through Kingman, AZ store site, $879. Clicked on Home Depot's installer and contacted them. They wanted $1199 for installation alone. NO GO there. Instead of Home Depot shipping a unit from their Kingman store which is only 1 hour away, they had one shipped from Laredo TX a week (6/6) after I placed my order. 2 days later my water heater was in Phoenix AZ and by that evening (6/9) it was in Las Vegas, NV where it sat for the next 5 days. On (6/14) I called the trucking company to find out why their website said they "awaiting inquiry answer from customer" when I had received no such inquiry; not a text, phone call or email! I explained my son was driving 7 hours this weekend to install it for me and wanted to make sure it was going to be here. The dispatcher at Estes guaranteed me it would be delivered Friday (6/16). Friday morning I get a call from Estes that because of bad weather in Las Vegas they would not be able to deliver my water heater until next Monday! I explained my son was already on the road here to install it and Monday would be too late. I asked about him diverting to N. Las Vegas to pick it up at their warehouse? She said they could leave it on the loading dock for pickup. When I called back 1/2 hour later I got a different person who told me the truck to Kingman just left but sees a change in my delivery order to be picked up at the loading dock. Bottom line is they did not want to drive 20 miles out of their way to deliver my order. So my water heater was driven all over the country, sat in a warehouse almost a week only to drive an extra 1/2 to pick it up in N. Las Vegas which is 1 1/2 hours back to my house when the Home Depot in Kingman is only 1 hour from my house! For this I took cold showers for more than 2 weeks which did not cool down my frustration. Home Depot needs to reexamine and/or better vet the companies they do business with because it reflects on them as well. Had I known I was going to be this difficult I would have just driven the 55 miles the same day and picked a water heater up at the store. Delivery fee, waiting time and outrageous installation estimate was more aggravation than this was worth! read more

The Kingman Home Depot store (#HO416) asked me to stop placing "online" orders and to call them with SKU numbers so that the individual store would get credit for the orders. I ordered tens of thousands of dollars worth of building materials. They promised delivery on specific dates. They did NOT deliver as promised or even warn me that the materials would not be delivered. I paid contractors to drive from Phoenix (not knowing materials would NOT be delivered). Additionally, several "ship to store" items that were supposed to be shipped to the Kingman Home Depot and then delivered to my property were actually shipped to me. This means that UPS and Fed Ex started calling me to pick up packages at the Kingman airport. At this pint it is difficult, if not impossible, to determine what Home Depot Kingman thinks has been delivered. I am out tens of thousands of dollars. This store has completely ripped me off and cost me more in employee time and drives to get things than is fair. They owe me thousands of dollars of materials and have created sheer chaos. This is a complete disaster. Home Depot corporate tried to get the store manager (Mike Dunn) on the phone to help me. When he did not answer they simply dropped my call on the store. I'm still on hold. This is completely unacceptable. How can anyone make a living this way??? read more

We've given Home Depot over 15,000 in business in the last 2 months. We moved into a new home and needed many things to fill it up appliances washer and dryer, back splash etc. Now we want to put on a security screen which we ordered the first week of December and have no idea where it's at and neither do they I keep getting different stories left and right. The millwork people say it's in Las Vegas and they changed up their delivery drivers and cut back. That was 19 days ago. After several calls to Home Depot today getting a run around manager that runs away from the telephone finally got tracked down. His attitude was fair didn't rectify any problems locating the screen door but perhaps believes it's in Oregon. The story I get it was in Ontario California. Then it's been sitting in Vegas for 15 days. Now apparently it's in Oregon. I've always enjoyed Home Depot always got things done right. Will be patient and wait until the 26th of January is the set educated date when it will arrive in Kingman. If not it's a refund and looking around for another business to hook me up with this security screen for the house. Sadly I have to get them one star. But will give him a five-star on the appliances that were delivered in november. Godspeed Home Depot get me my damn security screen and treat me like the customer that I deserve to be treated like after spending thousands and thousands of dollars in your store. I am changing all the wall colors, cupboard colors and flooring in my home. I am SO glad I met Sassy in the Flooring Department. Sassy has a real designer streak and has assisted me with selecting all of the above. She is respectful of my choices but has the wherewithal to make recommendations of things I would never have thought of. I feel like I am getting free designer services! Generally the staff ignores us anyone how, especially in the garden area. However, don't be fooled. The limiting of customers into the store has NOTHING to do with social distancing. They laid-off half of their local staff to save money, thus there is not enough employees to help the customer demand. And they intend on not hiring back for some time, regardless of poor customer experience. Examples: 1--Paint is not having a supply problem, but I want in there and only three cans of any brand of varnish were on the shelves, of the 100 cans. Employee says there are in the store, just not stocked. Same for spray paint, wiped out, only because there are not enough employee to restock. 2--One cashier, so the line was to the back of the store wall. This is not distancing to keep us all together, thus concern for distancing is FAKE. I had to walk out, leave my basket, no one can wait that long. 3--I went to Ace, all the paint you want, and staff to help right then. Plus I got all my PVC connections right then. Randy is a PVC expert. 4--Went to True Value, same help, awesome and no shortage of paint, it was all stocked. I had a gas range from H D installed. The wrong parts were used which resulted in a gas leak. Had to call 911 for help . They turned the gas off and cleared the house of fumes until it was safe for me to go inside. The gas company then arrived and capped off the gas leak and put a tag on the range stating appliance can't be used until properly installed. He gave me the part that didn't fit and said to keep it . So far I have just been given the run around The so called manager at Kingman HD has instructed the customer service people to say he is a meeting. The Las Vegas Store always says she will talk to her supervisor and get back to me, that has not happened after around three calls to them. I just bought a 5x8 utility trailer at Home Depot in Kingman. It is exactly what I wanted and it only took maybe 20-30 minutes total. I have a home in Prescott. I tried to buy this trailer in Prescott (twice) and Flagstaff (twice) but gave up after each trip took over an hour with no results (see reviews for those stores). 1 1/2 months after first trying to buy a trailer, I was headed east and decided to drive the extra 60 miles to see if Kingman Home Depot wanted to sell me a trailer. They did!! Mike (in tool rental) knew what paperwork he needed to fill out (as dealers) and quickly rang it up and I was on my way!! I would give him more stars but the overall store deserves lower. I stopped by the "service desk" to ask about buying a trailer. When the employee took her mask off to talk to me, I politely explained I am a healthcare worker and am uncomfortable with her taking off her mask. She immediately became defensive and defiant. I just walked away. Probably 1/3rd of the customers were not wearing masks and many of the employees were wearing them at "half staff" rendering them ineffective. I don't see following your employer's health mandates as a political choice. I see it as caring about your customers. No one was enforcing these cautions for the customers wearing masks. When I got to tool rental, I explained to Mike what I do for work and how traumatized I was feeling at that moment. He kept his mask on and did not berate me for asking him to do so. I went into the Kingman Az store to order 50 wood fence panels and everything that we would need to install them. I had figured out the exact cost at home including delivery and taxes. I'm in the depot placing my delivery order, he takes my order and it's almost $200 more than I had estimated, which was $5000.00. This he says is due to the PALLET FEE! $15 a pallet plus tax. He estimated 10 pallets. I decided to go home and order it online, and did so with NO PALLET FEES in about 3 minutes after waiting at the depot 40 minutes to order. It arrived this morning and guess what, there is only 1 pallet anyway. So I suggest if you ca, you order anything from here online, NOT in the store, and its really annoying that there is only 1 pallet anyway. WTF!! read more

This review is for the kingman Arizona store. I just wanted to say how friendly and helpful the manager Ken is with all his customers. I go to this store quite often and it seems like the manager Ken is always available to help us get a product down from shelf or to call a worker to help us, the other day he even got us a cart. He has helped us in the garden area several times, he has helped me in the store look for item that I thought they were out of but he looked it us and said nope they had item and he hunted it down. I have never had a store manager go above and beyond like this and I just wanted you to know how lucky you are to have him run this store. Kingman AZ FLOORING DEPARTMENT SHOPPERS!! I have been a Home Depot shopper for almost 40 years and never, ever have I/we ever dealt with an associate who lied to me/us like the one who calls herself Sassy Wade at the Kingman store. If I could give her a zero rating I would. Before going into the store, we picked from HD web site the flooring we wanted and went in to buy it. 3/12/23 we went straight into flooring department and sat down with Sassy at her desk in the flooring depart. We showed her the flooring we were interested in purchasing. She asked the usual questions, square footage, etc etc. Told her that we may not use it all because we weren't sure about a smaller area and asked her if we could return it if we didn't use it all. Also asked how long we had to return any used cases, I told her because my husband was working in CA. and we weren't sure how soon he could install it. She said that we "ABSOLUTELY COULD RETURN IT" so long as the cases where not open and that as a matter of fact, if we opened a HD credit card, we had up to a year to return it, "NO PROBLEM". I asked a few times, are you SURE we can return it and each time she told us of course and she even said that if they gave us a hard time at the front desk "JUST ASK FOR ME", no problem it will be okay, blah blah blah. Order was picked up 4/2/23. 7/5/23 we tried to return it and her story changed COMPLETLY. She said when we, meaning us and her looked for it in the store, it was not available. WE NEVER LOOKED FOR IT in the store. Then she says that she told us that it was a special order and that we had to pay a restocking fee SHE N E V E R EVER said that. She NEVER mentioned it was a special order much less any re-stock FEE. I would not have purchased as the extra had she told us. Then she tells me that the policy had changed, SERIOUSLY!! In that case don't tell customers what you told us but you told us that we could return it with no problem and that so called "policy change" was not in effect then as you "claim it is now". Just more lies on top of all the other lies she told us. I could see on her face and she knew it, that she had lied then and was lying again. The look on her face was defiantly one of BS. I HATE when people LIE, don't keep their word, when they say one thing and do another. She then said she would talk to a Karen a manager, while mumbling under her breath what a B Karen was. Then she returns and tells me, Karen says there is a restocking fee, now she's blaming Karen. I understand Karen is only doing her job, it was Sassy who didn't do her job by not being truthful with us. I seriously doubt that Sassy told Karen the truth and all the things that she told us when we bought the product. Sassy then tells me, if HD had installed the flooring for you, there'd be no charge, AGAIN she NEVER told us that either. If you had been honest Sassy, none of this would have happened. They charged us an outrages re-stocking fee, Sassy NEVER told us about any fee, instead she said a couple of times just come see me if you need to return any of it, "NO PROBLEM". SMH Unlike Daniel Salsgiver in appliances who is an HONEST and a very helpful associate. He has never lied to us and always has keeps his word. We've purchased a couple of major appliances with his help and it was a great experience. VERY mixed bag. Staff can be super polite and helpful. But sometimes, not. The staff in the paint department are witheringly rude and dismissive to the customers. Yes they are busy on a Saturday morning but that is not the fault of the cusomers. Because they are in demand staff thinks they are rock stars. Funny... was exactly the same situation in Yucca Valley Home Depot. MORE HELP IS NEEDED IN THE PAINT DEPARTMENT and some training for the staff, in courtesy. Now, windows. I tried and tried to get windows installed in my new house. Salesman [married] came to the house and hit on me, he was sly, he didn't make any moves, but offered to come over and help paint my house, several times. He offered me several freebies if I bought from him, such as free window trim, and help for my back doors at cost. You know what? Buying windows is not The Dating Game. Despite all this I wanted the windows, but his ipod was always "down." A week went by. Every day he put me off. He did not come to take my order. You're a salesman. Get a new ipod. Such a flake. The first time he came over he tried to cancel because his car wouldn't start. Just a druggie. On the other hand, guys in the windows department [I finally bought my own windows] are SUPER nice and helpful, courteous. Woman in the garden department was SUPER, super helpful and attentive. Man who helped me buy light bulbs was beyond excellent. Lumber department is very helpful if you happen to find someone. Customer Service is always top notch. Too bad the paint department and custom windows leave such a bad taste. read more

Purchased the house in April 2020 and the former owner took the blinds, curtains and rods so no covering on the kitchen windows. Three windows and two odd sized windows. Considered drapes, but near impossible to find ones that would fit into the smaller windows. Called Home Depot, lady on the phone, Stacy is a treasure. This is a standard Home Depot. I come here for all of my home and garden needs, and they've got everything you would expect. I also bought my LG washer and dryer from here. The customer service was great. They delivered the appliances and installed them at the scheduled appointment time, which was on a Saturday. They will even take your old appliances with them if necessary. Overall, my experiences with Home Depot are fabulous. I will continue to shop here on a regular basis. read more

This website is useless. I was looking for a sharkbite coupler release tool. Pretty simple, huh? Nope. It gave me everything in the store than had "shark", "bite", removal & "tool", as if the words weren't connected. When I'd exhausted pages looking for the thing, it told me that the list I'd been given was all they had. So,I tried it again. This time a picture of the little tool came up so I clicked on the picture. And I'll be skrewed if, instead of going to the item, it didn't give me the whole list again. I had to call the store. Their window installation program is awesome! My wife and I had Joe Orpen out for a consultation and he was so knowledgable, thorough and professional. He actually spent the time to discuss so many different options, and was not your typical salesmen. Rental return is garbage. Rhonda was extremely rude, to the point that I lost my temper and used language unbecoming. They wanted to charge me a cleaning deposit for a one hour rental that was cleaner than when I rented it. When I said I would take it and clean it she assured me her manager would make sure I pay the fee no matter. Upon speaking to the manager they proceeded my return without any concern. I asked to pay for it on my business card and was told NO its already been closed out to bad for you. I will never rent from them again! I will take my business to Lowes. I've got to write this down while it's still fresh in my mind. Don't want to leave out any of the details... First off, my wonderful neighbor and friend, Art, bought me an extension ladder for my birthday on Saturday! I've really needed a ladder and it was a welcome surprise. However, when I tried to use it, I found it to be unstable, as it had a weight capacity of 225. I remember 225... So today, Art and I loaded the ladder on my SxS to return it to Home Depot and exchange it for a heavy duty fiberglass ladder. My wife accompanied us, because she wanted to pick up a couple things, and also because the gift card we planned to use to cover the price difference in ladders was in her name. This is where the fun begins... I took the ladder to the service desk, and was refunded an in-store credit. I was also told they do not normally take returns on ladders unless there are special circumstances. (Art was assured at the time of purchase that if it wasn't the ladder I wanted there would be No Problem bringing it back.) So I have a store credit, we go to the ladder isle, find a HD ladder, and take it to the cashier. As it is Memorial Day weekend, I presented my VA card for a 10% Military discount. The cashier rang us up, my wife paid the balance with the gift card, and we were on our way. Outside I questioned the balance and checked the receipt, sure enough, I did Not receive the 10% discount. So I returned to the store and walked up to the cashier and showed her the receipt, to which she replied: You're right! I don't know why... I keyed it in... how about a couple free cokes and call it even? When I laughed she told me I would have to go back to the Service Desk. Art and my wife had returned to the SxS and were waiting, as I stood in line with five people ahead of me and two registers open. When it finally came to my turn, the service desk lady told me she would have to credit the sale back to the store credit and gift card, and redo the whole thing, but since I used the entire balance of the store credit, I no longer had the card for her to refund, and Jayme was out in the car with the gift card. She had me call my wife and ask her to bring the card back in. In the meantime, she got help to figure out how to do the store credit to a new store credit, and then informed me we didn't need the credit card to refund back to it, as long as I had some means to pay the balance. Finally, discount applied (just over $20), I paid the balance in cash, and we came home. I am now on line, looking at the gift card center card balance which shows a $76.26 deduction on the card, and not a refund. This may not be over. Home Depot read more

After seeing their flyer about privilege that was hanging in the break room at another Home Depot I decided I have the PRIVILEGE to not use Home depot in the future.
