We were on our way to the Grand Canyon when the roof of our motorhome started coming off. We pulled into the Home Depot parking lot and tried to figure out what to do next. My husband bought supplies to try and make a temporary fix. He talked to a couple different employees about what we were doing out in the parking lot. They were very kind and understanding. We ended up being there overnight and into the next day. After feeling somewhat secure that we could be on our way, we got on the road again. Visited this location twice while here for work. First was to make a purchase at the Pro Desk. Second was to return an item and shop for other items on 4-6-24. The Pro Desk, like any other HD was super friendly and helpful. On my second visit, my return was very smooth with Cheryl. She was friendly and efficient. However, when I needed to shop, I was walking up and down the aisles, not able to find an item and had four employees walk past and not even make eye contact or ask if I needed help, I walked to the front of the store where I saw two employees walking towards me. Again, neither of them made eye contact so I had to stop them and ask for help. One employee said nothing while the other reluctantly told me where I might find the item. Well, I'm sorry had to bother you to do your job. When I went to check out, I walked to a registered with a person. We made eye contact and then she walked away to get a drink from a mini fridge. Befuddled, I stood there for five seconds and not once did she turn and come back. I then went to the self checkout and noticed that she still didn't come back during my entire checkout process. Her light was on but nobody was home. Very frustrating! read more

It's the only game in town, but it would be better if it were run with a little better level of concern. The anti-maskers come here, rather than Victorville or Apple Valley because they know employees will not confront them, like the other stores will. Returned some unusable keys, store was dead and Irma and her coworker were sweeping the floor while we stood at the customer service desk waiting... finally she turned around and acknowledged us... with an attitude. After refunding my $$ for the keys she rang me up for the lightbulbs I was purchasing and applied the refund like I asked and I guess assumed I didn't want or need anything else I asked for my military discount she copped an attitude huffing loudly and was like you told me too late I have to start over while rolling her eyes... very unprofessional behavior. read more

This Home Depot is absolutely ridiculous. There's plenty of staff standing around huddled together doing nothing while all departments have customers waiting around for assistance. I waited for nearly an hour to be helped with paint even though when I arrived, I was the only one standing in line. The employees are rude when you ask them for help as if it isn't their job. I was in there on September 28th around 5pm. I was in a rush and your store associate took the initiative to ask if she could help me. I was grateful and accepted. She walked me to the correct area for drill bits but the tile bits were in another area that another store associate walked us both across the store to get to. Both of them wanted to be helpful and sometimes that makes all the difference. My day got worse because I rushed up the mountain to work in a house in the midst of my anxiety and rushing I lost my keys. I frantically searched my car a few times and called into Home Depot. I ended up driving back down to the store because I just could not find them. I explained the situation to some different associates. The associate I spoke with on the phone was very understanding of my feelings and frustrations. I understand that it was the end of the day and no one wants to deal with a whiny person but they all wanted to help. I did end up finding my keys in my vehicle and my weekly schedule was pushed back a day but everything was okay and I just appreciated the helpfulness and the understanding from your store associatess. read more

Contrary to popular belief, all Home Depot's are not the same. On this first time weekday visit I came in contact with three different associates and all of them provided superb customer service. They genuinely wanted to make sure I left with what I needed. That's not the norm when it comes to this retailer. This is a convenient place to buy lumber. Nobody likes to load their lumber onto a cart just to load it again onto their truck. The drive-through lumberyard at this location eliminates that hassle. I really liked the modern self-checkout kiosks. The flat screen terminals are really big, user-friendly and information is processed extremely fast. Major kudos to the vendor of these machines. This average size Home Depot has a large parking lot and is surrounded by absolutely nothing. read more

So I just moved up here, came to HD Friday, the staff helped and I bought all suggestions . Now I didn't need everything and I'm trying to return those items. I'm being told without speaking directly to me that there are screws missing. So I cant return brackets. Cashier took brackets out of box proceeded to assemble brackets brought someone else up here who agreed that I needed the screws in order to return. Fumbling everything bcuz her nails are too long to be trying this.Wow. read more

I drove to Barstow to pick up the 5 clips to install the Christmas lights. They had the clips but sold out of the installation pole :( However Lindsay at the service desk made a great effort in searching systems to help out. She had great customer service and work ethic. A few weeks ago we received our washer that we ordered,we were told by the associate when we get the washer to look it over before they install for dents or scratches.The day of delivery the 2 men were in a hurry to install it I told them that I needed to take a look at it first.Everything looked good it wasn't until they installed it and after they left I noticed they chipped off some paint(I'm guessing when they hit the wall trying to get the washer in it's place).I was so furious but,I knew that there was nothing that could be done,I am unhappy with the unprofessionalism these 2 guy's shown and that's why I'm putting it on Yelp so customers can be aware. read more

I was passing by L street in Barstow last night and decided to stop at Home Depot to get a tv mount for my new 43 inch tv. This was the smallest Home Depot I have ever seen but I was truly impressed with the wonderful customer service. Everyone that I encountered was polite and extremely helpful. I walked into the store and I was greeted by an employee helping another customer. Then another employee asked if they could help me find something and when I told her she told me exactly where I could find it. As I was walking down the aisle another employee asked me if they could help me find something and he walked me to the tv mounts. He took the time to discuss the different tv mounts, recommended the one the would best meet my needs and discussed the prices. Then he asked me if he could help me find anything else WHATTT! Lovely! I made my decision, I took the wall mount to the front to check out and I was pleasantly greeted by a cashier name Anna. She had such a positive personality and a great sense of humor I had to ask for her name. Although this Home Depot was small and not the closest store to my home if I ever need anything I will surely make the trip. read more

I love this Home Depot for the very unique experience of having a drive-through lumber yard. I've never seen one anywhere else. You drive your truck into their lumber yard. Then you park and load up the lumber that you need. Then you drive up to the cash register and they ring you up. Once you've paid, they open the gate and you drive to your job site. Brilliant! Other than the drive-through lumber yard, this Home Depot is the same as just about any other Home Depot. There is a lot of supplies for all types of home improvement projects. However, if you need specialty items, they may not carry them. Overall, it's a great place to go for a one-stop shop. The staff that work here are very friendly and helpful. Sometimes they are a bit hard to find in the store, but when I go up front, I can always get someone. read more

I went to get a padlock and I asked a female employee where I could find them, another employee, who had nothing to do with our interaction, started going of on me for no reason. The Home Depot generally use to be my favorite place for projects and construction supplies untill a recent purchase. I don't like posting things like this, but I just think it is very important to highlight things that happen such as this, when starting a $$ project. I needed floors done right, in a short period of time, so I turned to whom I thought was the Best! For the job, Home Depot. The staff is friendly they get you going quickly. However, their sub-contractors who measure and their floor guys seriously make Home Depot look bad. If they couldn't take on the job, they could have just let me know. The measuring guy did not show up the day they were suppose to. The the store did not have the proper moldings therefore had to set back the project date. Things like this should be checked for before paying for a pricey project and are unable to meet a necessary deadline. After multiple calls and pleading to get my floors done on time as contracted to do so, they met a deadline that left me with 24hrs to move my entire house items. Just let me say I cant finish moving because my floors aren't done and it's September 2nd, 2019 I've called and keep playing phone tag with everyone. Just lost hope and feel that what I paid was completely not worth it. Feeling so dissapointed and aggravated with this entire situation, I dont know what else to do. The last I spoke to someone, they were suppose to come and analyze...never got a call back to know when. I Called Home Depot Corporate and they never sent me the information they said they would. I ordered carpet and it was lots of money and they came out or measure. Everything seemed fine and when it came time for install they didn't follow through so I called and checked on the problem. And was told there was no problem on my realtors end so I figured let me pic it up and have the install done on my own. Went to pick up the carpet and there was no padding. So since the problem was never a problem I figured let's just have them finish and yet still a problem so the carpet people were going to refuse to leave the carpet and padding but my elderly father help with leaving the carpet . They said it was too heavy. On the first install it was one man on the second there was multiple. Carpet pro said Home Depot said not to install and and Home Depot said carpet pro said they could so who's the lier.???? I've learned Home Depot is Okay if you don't have anything installed a friend had a door installed with an estimate of $999 when installed it was $1600 and was told it was an estimate. Later went into Home Depot to find out 2 associated were talking about her situation. So Home Depot is good as long as you don't get an install... I'm. No longer getting my kitchen installed. I have been fighting with The Home Depot for the last two years about the cabinets that were installed in my kitchen. Well, today, I finally had it. I just came back from the courthouse and filed a small claims court case. No one seems to want to take responsibility for the defective conditions for the cabinets.
