I went to the Apple Valley store looking for a Ryobi battery tire inflator. Found the spot where it was supposed to be and the shelf was empty, so after looking 5 to 10 minutes for help I finally found a associate to help me. I showed him what I wanted , so he scanned it and said he'll be right back and went to the back somewhere. Now, I looked up in the overhead and saw boxes of them. When he came back he said they are out. I said really, how come Roy Rodgers and Bear Valley stores have over 40 each, he said yeah he could see that. I never told him he has product in the overhead and I left ! read more

If Home Depot cared about their customers, it would show. The employees here in there Apple Valley California store is so bad that it's pathetic. The employees here are so rude that they just don't care how they talk to the customers. Why would you hire or work here if that's how you're going to treat people. Pathetic. read more

Great service! They have everything you need and a vast selection at very competitive prices. Love it.

I tried returning and item past the 7 day return policy there were no signs at the check out & the cashier never informed me of the new return policy that just went into affect in June. They would not even let me exchange for another item of equal value or more. Very rude sales associate & the supervisor Miguel was no help Poor customer service I will never buy anything here again I will be shopping at Lowes from now on read more

I made a return and the customer service representative was Itzel. Right off the bat she seemed perturbed that we were there. I had my wife's credit card with the product.. she immediately began scanning the items that I was returning, and told me in a rude voice that none of these were purchased using the card I had scanned. I told her that I just purchased these the day before using this credit card and I was legitimately confused why I wouldn't show up, granted I did not have my paper receipt. I asked her if I could just get cash back then and she was genuinely rude and said absolutely not! And told me that there is a slight possibility I could maybe get Store credit but she wasn't even sure if that could happen. Thank God, my son found the receipt in the car and we brought it in and the return was made. You think that being in customer service/returns department, Home Depot would put their best and brightest folks forward to showcase their customer service abilities, this was not the case, dealing with Itzel. She was short, and rude with her demeanor, and the entire time half of her face was blocked off by a mask, which is her choice, but coupled with mumbling/ low voice made it extremely hard to understand. read more

Go to Lowe's across the street. They have much better customer service and a far better selection of items. I saw a so-called manager at this Home Depot stand around the AC area and very loudly pretend to talk on his phone while he stood in front of the floor AC models that were on, blocking the airflow and view of the models from customers. I saw him ignore the customers who clearly needed help. I saw him bully an associate by pulling them away from customers and threateningly telling them to move on to other customers (who clearly weren't even seriously looking to make a purchase). Also, beware of the overly friendly associates who are too eager to chat up customers, don't/can't actually answer questions about their products and services, and just push customers to buy something, touting their "generous return policy" (a direct quote). The staff I encountered clearly have no idea what business they're in. read more

This place USED to be the best. Horrible management!! I believe her name was Diana or Dana. THR WORST to put up for management. VERY disrespectful to employees and customers!! Witnessed a worker not receive accommodation after I complained to a supervisor that they needed it, and witnessed Diana or Dana herself pushed a customer onto another VERY BUSY employee to assist them.. like what kind of example of leadership is that?!? Very very disappointed in this store and their choice of management. I stopped here Memorial Day 2026 and I all I have to say is "unprofessional " from everyone. Bad energy overall. I almost gotten ran over by a forklift. The dude driving it told me to move. Who says that. When I went to check out in self service, the lady yelled at me from across and told me to wait. All I had was a pack of screws. She tried to make a joke out of it but damage was already done. I am never shopping here. I will take my business to Lowe's. read more

I want to thank Roxanne customer service, for making this customers life easy. We had an online order that was quite complicated for us, but not for her to handle. I truly am grateful to be a customer of Apple Valley Home Depot. It's nice as a contractor to walk through the door, ask for help and actually receive it. I also want to add that the selection was spot on we came in thinking there was only gonna be so many, but Roxanne had an associate go look, and we actually got what we needed from the store saving us from having to drive all over to different locations. There is value in any product that you can get at one location. This trip was worth the money and our time. read more

Sadly, I have to give it a two, because although when we go in most people seem very helpful every single time without fail when we call for information, it will ring for five minutes one time up to eight minutes and nobody answers. Or then it answers and keeps us on hold forever, and no one wants to go the extra mile to help unless we have the exact information that makes it easy for them to find read more

I called to get inventory for generators, and they told me that the have a few. We took the time to head on over, and when we got there, there was a couple in stock. Yeah, I payed for a really decent generator, and it works well. As soon as I asked for them to unlock the generators, an associate came almost right away. The whole experience was great. I went to Home Depot 12218 Apple Valley Road in Apple Valley on 4/28/2024. I was very fortunate to get some excellent customer service. The employee, Lowell, took the time to help me select the right Moen shower lever handle replacement. He was patient, kind, and knowledgeable. Also, as soon as I left he didn't run off, but he asked another customer nearby if he needed some help. This level of customer service support was so gratifying to see in a retail store. Thank you for the assistance and I would definitely recommend this Home Depot location. read more

Went to the Apple valley location twice within a week for the same thing but no help. Needed a peace of bead board asked the girl at the desk to call someone supposed we did first day waited a half hour and walked out second day we finally got her to do something(Had to call the store from inside the store) but she acted like we were entirely inconveniencing her. Next we go to the cutting area wait 20 mins no one so I call again from inside the store I get an Oh someone will be there but no one ever shows I call again and tell the person Id like to invite the store manager to wait with us in the cutting area. Finally a young black guy with an afro and a grey "Ron Mead Jr Construction" sweatshirt comes up and asks what we need help with I keep pointing to the board I guess he cant see so I shake it on the cart and he says "Are you ok dude?" I explained weve been waiting for this and to get it cut he smiles and starts giggling saying "Saw's broken" I call one last time and finally talk to a manager she does do much but come up with excuses for the wait time and false apologies. I have shopped here as my number one store for many years. Today I spent an hour and a half searching for specific items. No one asked if I needed help. Employees were all hanging in groups, laughing and doing nothing. I went to paint dept to get can of spray paint. One man in paint helping a man then there were two other people there so I got on line. Guy finished with one man then instead of helping Asian lady that was there for awhile the man help the guy that just walked up. Asian lady said "You see me standing here for so long, I am next. Then he went back and forth with man and woman. I asked if there was anyone that can open the spray paint case and he said "You'll have to wait" and I said ok. I stood there for about 35 minutes and he was still not done with other customers. Black lady walks up to him "Can someone get some spray paint out for me". He dropped what he was doing and went to open the case for her. The others all looked at me in disbelief he just did that. The employee was black and so was the lady. I am white and he told me I had to wait. This store and its employees have turned to crap. I will now go across the street to Lowe's where I was nicely helped and out of the busy store quickly. What happened to employees that are helping people and not hanging out chit chatting when the store was busy? read more

Thinking about doing a flooring install? Stay far, FAR away from here. Use your local flooring business instead. Will Home Depot save you a few dollars? Sure. Will HD result in the most horrific project experience, severe stress, and problems at every turn? You bet! I'm fairly reasonable and understanding that problems arise, however, this 3 day project on my rental property resulted in a nearly 2 MONTH nightmare. The managers, Javier and Thomas, seemed bothered to deal with the issues created by their lack of oversight and made zero attempts to makes it right. At one point, the manager, Javier, called to "resolve" the problem by offering to fix the planks that were defective...he failed to tell me that this would VOID my warranty. Unfortunately for him, I'm not stupid and he had to put in more effort to actually address the problem with my almost $20,000 project. It was shocking and insulting. At this point, I'm out at least $3500 of income as a result of their reactive and neglectful management. Im now deciding if small claims court is my next step, but at this point, I'm emotionally exhausted from dealing with their constant BS. Be warned. Buying supplies here is fine. Using them for any project is a gamble that'll cost you. read more

this morning I tried to buy 11 bags of scots red mulch in garden section; the check stand girl could not ring up my simple order, she seemed to be sleepwalking with her mind far away; there was no manager in store to help her. she fiddle-farted around for over 15 minutes before she could finally ring it up and then she forgot the color and quantity; but, she did not forget to wear her nose ring to work. their service is normally good but the manager pushed this employee out on the floor half-trained, next time I go back to Lowes across the street. read more

This store has very few associates that actually know anything about hardware or any of the products sold in there own departments. Unless you work with or speak with management you won't get the right appliances or parts. From my new washer and dryer not being ordered correctly to a simple screw size. Asked for a M6 screw that was around 1 in in length. They kept sending me home with the wrong damn screw. After 5 fucken trips I look online. There OUT OF STOCK on M6 screws that are 20mm. But the associate had no idea. The washer and dryer took 4 hours on the store, 6 trips back and forth before they resolved the issues where the associate ordered the wrong dryer. The only way to get good help here is by working directly with a manager. read more

Shop nearby store in Los Angeles, which has major issues; noticed on credit report there were 3 fraudulent charges made on the credit card. None of the cardholders made those charges. The address was listed as Apple Valley. The Home Depot services reversed one, but still wouldn't close the account. They only changed the number and allowed more charges. They didn't fix it, either. Over $1300 charged online not belonging to anyone's home address. We have filed with the FTC.gov and police. The fraudulent charges weren't removed, The Home Depot refuses to take off any money and still charges on autopay. Worst customer service for any hardware store ever. I'm not making anymore online orders at any Home Depot anymore. What's been happening is, if the item is out of stock, you get an email stating that your item is out of stock and your order has been canceled and your credit card will be credited, but it never is. They keep the charge on your account and then down the road, after you've already purchased the item somewhere else, and after a month or two, they finally get their item back in stock and say you're item is ready for pick-up. And you're like, "What item"? and it's the item THEY SAID THEY CANCELED! And after a month or two when this is brought to your attention that you were charged for their out of stock item, they won't refund your credit card back the money --you'll need to go into the store in person to straighten out the mess and get a cash refund. This first happened to me in VV, so I started ordering at Apple Valley, and today found out the exact same thing happens here and probably all Home Depot stores. If you are out of stock on an item, and you say you canceled the order, you have NO BUSINESS charging anyone's credit card!! People--if you have ever had an online order canceled on you, check your statements! read more

I would like to first start off by saying that these five stars are given to the Home Depot employee, Maria Saldana from the Millworks dept.
