We are beyond grateful for this hitting academy and the incredible coaches. My son is 7 years old…read moreand had really only played T-ball before coming here, but the growth we've seen in such a short time has been amazing--not just in his skills, but in his confidence and love for baseball. He absolutely loves the summer camp and the one-on-one lessons. He gets excited every single time we're on the way, especially knowing he'll get to see Coach Pete. That excitement alone speaks volumes. Thanks to the coaches, he now has a better stance, a stronger and more confident swing, and--most importantly--a real motivation to play and improve. Coach Devin and Coach Billy have been phenomenal with him: patient, encouraging, and great at meeting him at his level while still pushing him to grow. This academy has truly helped spark a passion for the game in my son, and as a parent, that means everything. We are so thankful for the time, care, and dedication these coaches put into their kids. Highly recommend to any family looking to build both skills and confidence in young players.

He felt very out of place as everyone else was already a well established player. He didn't feel like the adults monitored things and felt pushed around by the more seasoned players. He asked me to share so other families can make sure their child has a good experience here and goes in with eyes open.

LOL. During one of my trips back home to visit friends, we all got together to bowl, much to my dislike but time with friends beats all that. During our time Ben and my friend Lisa got into a pretty competitive race with each other on who was going to win and well now it is their thing to joke with each other about. While Lisa was down visiting us earlier this year, a repeat game was very much on their to-do list. Maple Lanes is just a few miles down 19 from where we live so I planned a night for us all to go. Lisa is from a small town in Michigan so she was blown away when our ordered items came over to us from a "server robot". She still talks about how cool that was. It just makes me laugh at things like this because it really shows the differences of what I left behind in Michigan and what things just seem normal to me now in a larger city environment. We all had a great time together and Ben was all too pleased that he still holds that winning title between the two of them.

This is our second season at Pinecrest Little League after two seasons at a Cal Ripken League…read morenearby. We are so happy here. This is a very kid-focused environment where all the coaches and volunteers are dedicated to making baseball fun for all. Focus on fundamentals, character building (good citizenship, team work, doing the right thing, work ethic), and fostering a love for baseball at all skill levels. In addition, the registration fees are low. For this 12-game spring season, registration was $25 a player, which includes mlb hat and Pinecrest jersey. Parents had to buy gray pants, red socks and red belt (the same for all teams every year), which were about $25 total. No other costs or mandatory volunteer hours. Opening day was a lot of fun. Each player received a Gatorade bottle with Gatorade packets, baseball cards and balloon animals. They also had cornhole games and snow cones. The league made significant improvements to the facility this year with professional grade turf in the batting cages and beautiful concrete framed bull pens on most of the fields. A great group of dedicated volunteers!

The ones in charge are smiley while the teachers know their stuff. On the flip side, most of the building staff appears stuffed with high schoolers earning community hours-- in other words, they look moody and are silent. But everyone else is great. BUILDING During my martial arts classes, the air conditioning in the "big room" is pretty noisy and can make listening to instructors difficult (especially since many classes are composed of elementary kids)... or deafeningly quiet when it decides to stop working.
