I finally searched waxing in Galway in Google and I found this great solution. Carolina runs this business and is an extremely friendly young lady. It mentioned that there was no store front and she is only available by appointment. I called and inquired and she said if I came an hour later she would be ready. She gave me the exact address and I had no problem with her directions. Now, although waxes themselves are really never pleasant, this wax went very smoothly. It was probably the most bearable wax I've ever had. Carolina does a great job making you feel right at home. She uses a nice wax for very sensitive skin like mine, and it was fast and relatively painless. If I lived in Galway, I would be a loyal customer and never go anywhere else. Hair: I find the hair cutting quite good, but it really depends on the stylist. I always get a senior stylist since the junior ones here are not great. I've always been happy with my haircuts here, except they don't colour black hair like they do in Dublin salons, which is weird. They say they can't do it, but I've died my hair many colours in the Dublin salons. The beauty treatments here are great. Not too expensive, but the waxing can be a bit slow. However, they do nice facials, massages, body wraps and manicures. The inside of the salon is also really nice after the refurbished it, and I think it is the best and most popular one in Galway. PS: The salon is up a flight of stairs, no wheelchair access.

Their system wouldn't accept online payment, so their whole 30% deposit requirement is impossible if you book online. I took a chance and booked, and received a booking confirmation saying how excited they were to see me. The second red flag was that the name on the door did not match the name of the person I was booked with. I walked up the steps a few minutes before my scheduled appointment time, and the person following me up (who turned out to be the massage therapist was confused and didn't even seem to know the name of their business. It was then that I learned they had double-booked the appointment time and quickly hurried me away with no attempt to rectify the situation. I responded to the confirmation email, trying to get some clarity, and the response was that they couldn't even provide the service I booked for, and just like my 30-second experience in the building, the responses were rude and dismissive. My advice - look elsewhere. This is 101 of what not to do in a customer service role. Also, don't accept online bookings if your system won't take online payments and allows you to overbook your service providers.
