Service was fine, doctor was fine - however after being trapped in this building for 2hrs (first patient intake & whatnot) I walked out heaving.. The entire building smells like pee. There is no way I am the only one who noticed this. When I first walked into the building I noticed immediately the overwhelming smell of human pee. Then I looked around and noticed that all the furniture is fabric. EVERY piece of furniture throughout the entire building (minus the exam tables) are 100% fabric. With a clientele that is primarily elderly, this should be a known risk to plan interiors for. It is rude and inconsiderate to the patients to not be mindful in planning furniture and environment like this. Also - it's gross and has to be against some kind of law! I had to burn my clothes after the visit that's how strong the scent was throughout the whole building. I was there for only two hours...

Most of my original issues stemmed from issues with customer service. Since then, they have hired a young lady as a receptionist. She was cheerful and pleasant. The waiting room was comfortable, and the several staff members I met were all friendly. The owner was quick to respond to my reviews. I have a lot of respect for that. You can tell a lot about a business by the way they address their mistakes. Lilac Wellness and Counseling offers a wide variety of services. I went in for cupping, acupuncture and a massage. I was cramming a lot into a session, so the services were understandably abbreviated. With that said though, the room was comfortable, the music was soothing, and Xun was did a fantastic job. Therapists are stretched to the max, but we still need to prioritize our health. So what are the alternatives? For me, it's acupuncture and cupping. This traditional Chinese medicine explains that one's health is the result of a harmonious balance of the "yin" and "yang" of the life force known as "qi," pronounced "chi." Illness is said to be the result of an imbalance. Qi flows through meridians in the human body, accessible by 350 acupuncture points. I can think of no better way to treat my body than to become a human pin cushion! It may sound intense if you've never tried it, but you actually barely feel anything because the needles are so thin. Acupuncture is used to treat anxiety, migraines, pain, digestive and sleep disorders, infertility, depression, and addiction, just to name a few things. Cupping works similarly to balance the qi by increasing blood circulation, relieve muscle tension, improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. Earth Moon also offers massage therapy (including pre-natal) and herbal supplements to aid in your overall wellness. They're located a stone's throw from the state hospital, off Center Street with easy interstate access. The vibe is calm with a tranquil asian inspired aesthetic. Most insurance is accepted. Dr. Ryan took the time to thoroughly explain his diagnosis, the treatment plan, and what we can realistically expect for his future. It took a few sessions, but my son is finally feeling better than he has in the past couple of years, which has been amazing to see. Dr. Ryan is incredibly personable and genuinely takes the time to get to know his patients and understand what they're experiencing and where they're hurting. He's also funny, patient, and makes what could otherwise be an intimidating experience feel comfortable. The office itself is absolutely spotless and very welcoming. The front desk staff deserve a shout-out too. They're incredibly friendly, welcoming, and sweet every time we walk in.
