He always you what to do though he never asked what's the never you anything like that he will disrespect you. I had to see a to get me a pain management doctor to do some injections on my back. He tells everyone that he's the only doctor in Louisiana That was subscribe pain meds. He's a liar. He's a big fraud and if I was anyone, I would read this and I would think about seeing another doctor before I would see him. I'm telling you you're going to learn your lesson if you go see him anytime I would go see him. have to wait 2 1/2 Hours to sit in his office for five minutes and I would have to drive two hours one way just to see him and two hours back that was a whole to doctor that disrespect you.

I was referred to him via my neurologist for a nerves disorder that is (quote) "the most painful disorder known to medicine) I drove 2.5 hours to see Mr Fairbanks, which I didn't mind because quality local physicians are scarce in our small rural community. Upon arrival, the staff was courteous and the waiting room was quite full. I filled out 3 pages of paperwork. No big deal. The overall wait to be called back and see the physician was only 30-45 minutes. Again, no complains, I expected a wait given the number of patients in the room. However, There were multiple (10, give or take) patients that were in an out, apparently just there to pick up their prescriptions. Again, no judgment. Once my name was called we (my mama came with bc I can't drive which is another story) The nurse brings me back for vitals and we are quickly seated in a curtain room. Waiting patiently, we hear, what we assume to be the DR, approach the patient in the next curtain (room) The Dr. (Fairbanks) opens the other patients curtain, asks him how he is, small chat, then informs him that he we refill his pain medication and to have a good day. Next Dr Fairbanks opens my curtain (door) He immediately begins to tell me that he knows that I am in excruciating pain, but you will just become an addict, and he will not aid me in any way. "I have the DEA on this shoulder and the state on this shoulder!" (I've got a knife to my through" -he said "If I prescribe you anything opioid wise you'll become an addict!" The entire time I was not allowed to say one word. If I attempted, he would immediately hush me with his hand. He then proceeded to inform me that the only thing he would offer to help me, is to aid in getting me a medical marijuana card. HOWEVER he then informed me, that my insurance will not cover the medication, nor will it cover his cost and that I will have to pay HIM directly out of pocket. He quickly informed me the cost would be $2,500- $3000 PER YEAR!! I was absolutely Speechless. He then stormed out of the curtain room and began yelling at, what I can only assume to be a nurse. My mother and I waiting for someone to return with no success. After a while, we finally found our way back out to the waiting room. Where I was offered a follow up appointment card. Needless to say I will not be returning. ---negative star I write this as a cautionary tale. This Dr has lost all sight of his ethics training and doesn't have his patience well being in mind. I hope this helps someone out there. . By the way I have TBI, Trigeminal Neuralgia, POTS, hashimotos, ect
