Like I said before, the sandwiches arrived the size of an adult's head. Jar dropping is a fitting description of what we looked like when our server placed the sandwiches before us. The homemade bread was soft and delicious. The chicken club easily had half a pound of cooked bacon on it. Before we ever took our first bites, we knew we would need to go boxes. Wait, did I mention we had the most wonderful cheese curbs as an appetizer? Worth ordering but only if you split a sandwich!! There are a handful of booths in the front area along with seating along the bar. TVs in the main room. There is also a back room that would hold maybe another 40 people. This tavern has been in place for years under different names. I would love to hear the history. I could see a set up that would have been particularly useful for gambling & drinking during prohibition. The staff was very efficient and helpful. One person out front & one in back. Never had to wait.

The Bloody Mary screams Wisconsin w the skewer loaded up with snacks, and the cute "Baby Miller" as a back. The Horse & Plow Club sandwich was so good, we stopped a few days later while heading back to the airport. The bar tends to get busy w hotel guests, golfers and tourists. It's the place to be!

I took the top bun off at some point cause it was too much bread. Came here cause I heard the cheese curds were some of the best in Wisconsin. Honestly they were kind of underwhelming. They served it with a blueberry jam which I thought was interesting and it tasted good together, but nothing special to be honest. The American Club area is super beautiful inside and out and the Horse and Plow fit that same vibe.

Drinks and service is a little sub standard. Bartenders are young and tend to spend a lot of time talking with each other, it got a little annoying, having to wave them down to get drinks. We tried to number of different drinks, some good, some some bad. I did like the tiki mule with cranberry vodka, but the strawberry frozen lemonade was way too sweet and was premade, not great for 12 bucks. Didn't try the food.
