Needless to say, the topic of slavery is an emotionally difficult subject, but a necessary topic. Sistah Patt made it interesting and educational. Take this tour. You will be happy that you did. I also took the Bonaventure Cemetery and Wormsloe tour with Dan. I enjoyed that tour as well. It was very interesting and it ends with cookies (a stop at the Byrd's Cookies store)- always a good thing.

We had Stefanie as a guide for the day. We boarded at their office in town (they called the day…read morebefore and told us we could park at the visitors center and make a quick short walk to where they are located). We loaded up and left promptly. She gave us some knowledge of the area on our way. She talked the entire way of lots of things we passed! We had a disabled person with a walker and she was very considerate and helped her get her walker on and off the trolley and made sure she was first on things and ahead of the group. She also had a cooler of free waters that I thought was very considerate! The itinerary was a bit different than the website I booked from. We went from their office to the boat ride, then lunch, then the lighthouse/beach area then dropped off people at their hotels and then back to their office. She said that the ticket was good for a couple days and that if you called them they would be there within 15 minutes and drop you off where you wanted within an area. We would use this service again!

Having done paranormal tours before in different cities, this was one of the least engaging I have…read moreever been on. If you are new to this and want to learn a little bit about paranormal and have fun utilizing the equipment to see if you can discover anything, it will be a worthwhile experience. Otherwise, it could be a let down. The night we went, the host covered the history at Rapid speed Comma gave a quick intro to the equipment comma And then just sat there, and looked bored. They did not spend any time helping the people on the tour. At one point, I ended up showing someone how to use the Estes method, as the hosts were of no help. Not a lot of action while we were there, but that is the nature of paranormal investigation.

This experience just wasn't for me. Bonus star because the staff were super nice and welcoming and…read morewere really into it, unfortunately our group of 4 just wasn't into it. I've been to a lot of ghost tours and experiences all over the country - New Orleans, Charleston, Portland, Seattle, Boston, etc and honestly Savannah has felt the most forced, boring, and commercialized. If you're truly a believer in ghosts then maybe you'll love this place. But for me it felt like a waste of time and money unfortunately. The equipment felt childish to me and like playing make-believe. When I've done other ghost investigation style experiences they were in buildings/locations where horrific murders happened or in civil war prisons where thousands of people died. It felt like this was basically a random building the Trolley Tour company bought and just converted into a ghost house. The techniques they use for ghost hunting are kinda laughable, and we did laugh. They had a random word generator that was supposed to say random words from the English language but it was def pre-programmed to say words like "sacrifice" and other scary words over and over again. They also had an AM radio that cycled all the frequencies and you could hear super short clips of people talking and that was supposed to be some kind of evidence. They had cat toys that light up when moved. And they had more traditional ghost hunting tools like a thermo imager and EMF detector. Overall if you're super into this stuff you'll probably like it. It's so expensive too. For the cost of a group of 4, you can buy all this equipment on Amazon and hunt ghosts the rest of your life or start your own paranormal investigation experience.
