We never needed a contract and squared up with the Manager Nick T. Prior to using the space. We have always rented the space for the same time duration. This year the Italian club decided to stock and man the bar in the room. We usually use it to hold our lunch pizza or sandwiches but we were told "No" because it was a bar. We did not ask for this. Out Sale goes from 10 am to 2 pm. Our customers as well as ourselves don't attend this event to drink. They made NO money. Maybe that's why the next thing happened.... 3 of our women who handled the check out for the sale were the last to leave after we cleaned up the space. They were accosted at the door as they were leaving. The Manager Nick chased after shaking them down for more money for the space stating " we went 2 hours over the agreed time according to the contract and wanted another $150 or he would call the Police. ". These poor ladies felt threatened and intimidated but asked to see the contract since the person in charge of renting from our organization had already left. Well it was a gentlemens agreement with no contract, but nonetheless the Manager went and typed up a contract and demanded they sign it or Police would be involved. Our representative didn't want any trouble, signed and wrote a check out for another $150. We will NEVER go back to this club and from this day forward will always do a contract. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TREATMENT

This venue is deceptive from the outside; it is much more spacious than you would imagine! The large room can hold nearly 300 people and the smaller room about half that number. I was impressed that the cost of rental included all of the set up/take down for tables (round or rectangle, your choice) and chairs; unlike our venue of last year. We were allowed early access and had the entire day to set the room for Trivia, the raffle and dinner. The kitchen is spacious, well appointed and clean! Grace, the manager, was beyond helpful! She loaned us a number of dishes, put flowers on the tables, made the coffee and even helped advertise the event to their regular BINGO people! I could see this Club as a place for weddings, with it's lovely wooden bar, large rooms and parking lot, and grove at the back. The Lake Erie Italian Club is a gem....and so is Grace!

My bride was so unbelievably happy with Kotecki's hospitality and swift action when things were needed urgently. You can tell that CEO Kate Kotecki has been in the wedding business for many years. The way she organized this wedding was unmatched, and more than I ever expected. From ordering flowers last minute (literally on our wedding day) after an issue with our first batch, checking on us regularly on our wedding day... I cannot put it into words how amazing this woman is. It felt like she was part of the family on our wedding day. She is a professional who obviously has mastered every aspect of weddings / wedding planning. She was so warm and welcoming to us, and stayed by our sides until the very end when the lights went on. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Kate and Koteckis staff for hosting the wedding of our dreams. You are truly an allstar crew, and if I could give you more than 5 stars, I certainly would. I found The Foundry to be a charming, iconic landmark, celebrating a part of Buffalo's heritage. The Foundry, once a manufacturing plant, built in the early 1900s, for railroad signals. It has been refurbished. Now, it's a chic, modern industrial style hotel and banquet venue in WNY. I really liked the old brick fused with modern string lights and light fixtures/ chandeliers to create a warm vibe. Our servers were working hard and handled everything smoothly. Our dinners were very tasty. The set up for appetizers and gift raffle baskets were in the other larger room. Cash bar for alcoholic drinks. Plenty of space for guests to mingle and walk around. Some guests stepped outside in the lovely central courtyard. Quite surprisingly, there was a nice fire started to sit around in the courtyard into the evening. Most guests were eating the chicken piccata dinner. It was prepared well. Vegetarian offering looked great too, a stuffed squash. This review is strictly for the banquet facility, not the hotel. I did not see nor stay overnight in the hotel. There's plenty of free parking in their lot. Separate bathroom facilities for males and females. Easy to find on Elmwood Avenue near Hertel. Check it out for your get together.

The food was good. However, they did not replenish the food quickly at all and seemed a bit out of sorts. I had a romaine leaf in a champagne flute with some very good Caesar dressing for a salad. There is no potato or vegetable offering. So I just had a lettuce leaf and 2 thin slices of beef (ebough for a slider sammie), a small scoop of goat cheese topped with some beets which was super yummy but no crackers or anything with it. Andd could not eat the dessert. The bartenders were super nice and took very good care of us. I would say go and try it and ask about where to park if u plan on a med sized event. And make sure there is enough food and ask about dietary restrictions.

I came for two separate witch markets (no, really) and absolutely treasure the time I spent inside. It's so classy and marble is everywhere. The stairs aren't tough for me as a disabled person and there are ramps to get you into both parts of the building if you need them. There were two giant rooms apart from the spacious hallway. One of them even has a pop-up bar before you enter. One of the bartenders gave me the most delicious mocktail I've ever had for $3. Unbeatable. They also have a lobby bar, which has a different page so I'll review there. So, the gorgeous rooms held a ton of vendors for both markets. There waa even enough space on the floor for witches to dance on (they needed a lot oc room). I almost wish my wedding had been here. Come here if you want to see for yourself just how nice this building is. It's also haunted, so that's cool.

Not bad. Just nothing special. What always stands out here is the service. Today we asked one of the servers, jeff, if the coffee was ready yet. Parking was nearly impossible to find. After driving back and forth a few times, we finally saw a sign stating "free" valet parking for Marcy Casino, and luckily for us, we made it just in time to take the last available spot for valet. After parking, we walked to the restaurant, and found a line. After a few minutes, we were able to get to the front of the line, and informed them we had a reservation (so we were seated immediately). We requested to sit outside, but reservations are only for indoor seating, and there were no patio tables available at that moment. Our table ordered a variety of items: steak frites, shrimp, ahi poke, and clams. Everything we ordered was very good. My steak was cooked to perfection and came with a side of fries and arugula salad. The shrimp was flavorful and reminded me somewhat of a shrimp ceviche. The ahi tuna poke had seaweed salad in it and was very tasty, and the steamed clams dipped in real butter are always good to me. In all, the dishes were surprisingly delicious, and much better than I had expected. Would I recommend coming here? Absolutely yes! The food is very good and the ambiance is beautiful. However, I would highly recommend using valet for parking or Uber, and also make reservations in advance because it gets very busy here and that will make your visit much smoother.

Yesterday evening, I was looking forward to spending a lovely time with family while enjoying a…read morebeautiful dinner at The Terrace, part of the Marcy Casino complex. In attempting to do this, I was breaking with tradition, as I routinely gather with family and friends at the Curtiss Hotel or The Richardson Hotel, ...being accustomed to their consistently phenomenal customer service. You can hardly imagine my disappointment and embarrassment with the treatment my guests and I received from the host/receptionist at The Terrace. From the moment we entered the venue, we were dismissed as vagabonds, even though we were elegantly dressed. My family, and I, accomplished purveyors of the arts, haute cuisine, and world travelers, had found ourselves brutally insulted and our value as guests to the venue, diminished by the arrogance and classless attitude presented when we requested to be seated for dinner. By the way, the place was nowhere near capacity in reference to already seated guests... in fact, it was pretty empty. We were told it was requisite that we needed to make on-line reservations in order to be seated and served at a table... no exceptions! An empathetic waiter and waitress, overhearing our predicament, tried coming to our rescue and suggested we may consider being seated at the bar. We were told the menu was the same whether we were at the bar or a table. When this waiter and waitress kindly tried to accommodate us with the suggestion to consider sitting at the bar, the host met their eyes with a glance of total defiance. We were so uncomfortable at the prospect of continuing to manage sitting at the bar, with only one table available for four people, coupled with that the discernible feeling of not being wanted at the venue overcame us. So, we proceeded to default to one of our usual venues, where class, accommodation and elegance always reigns, that being the Richardson. We will never risk giving that host at the Terrace the opportunity to show such disrespect to us again! I hope this review has others considering an alternate establishment that maintains the dignity of their visitors rather than disrespecting and disregarding it!
