Bottom Line: A decent sized gallery stuffed full of lovely art in all price ranges and kind owners. In really glad I stumbled upon this place while getting dinner in this small plaza. The owners are both very friendly, hard working and they have packed this space with good stuff. The gallery has art in all sorts of mediums and the pieces range in size from packable ornaments to huge pieces of furniture. They have original works of art as well as budget friendly prints. I was proud to pick up several vintage artwork cards, a detailed hand crafted ornament and a fun travel poster print. read more

When you go to the Big Island right next to my favorite dive shop called Kohala Divers there is a nice store with hawaiian memories or cultural pieces to purchase for home. I've stop by there after I dive or take the family out for Shave Ice. The items are great souvenirs or decorative items that are handmade. I notice even the locals decorate there home here with products from Harbor gallery. Worth stopping by every time you visit the Big Island. Aloha!! read more

This is one of the most spectacular galleries in all of Hawaii. Among its finest offerings are woodworking, everything from koa-brimmed hats and can coolers to koa rocking chairs and sideboards. This gallery features the finest woodworkers in all of Hawaii, and hosts two major wood working shows each year. Some items are understandably expensive, but fine art anywhere is expensive. I just left this store and the store employee was EXTREMELY RUDE to me. I accidentally broke an item setting close to a table's edge just as I walked in. She wanted to charge me FULL PRICE for the broken item and called me IRRESPONDIBLE. I am a 65 year old woman and paid her but did not appreciate how she handled this situation. Made me feel like a small child. Definitely not the way I wish to be treated and will never visit this shop again. read more

I just stopped by this gallery for the first time and was totally impressed by the local artistry and customer service provided by the owners. I actually returned several times just to visit and learn more about the local artists and their work. Though there were definitely Hawaiian "artifacts" sold for much less in the high end tourist areas, it was very clear and even disclosed that these artifacts were not necessarily locally made nor anywhere near the genuine quality of the products sold in this local gallery. Not only were the gallery owners helpful and welcoming, but I was blown away at the amount of knowledge they displayed about each specific artifact and artist that they sold/supported. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! The only thing worse than the pell-mell display of pieces is the perennial rudeness of the surly individual who sits behind the register. We stop by every now and then and are continually amazed by how each visit manages to top the last in terms of lack of aloha. For all the boasting of local artists, it is rare to be able to discern so much as the name of the artist. The prices are outrageous--worse than some of the fancy shops at high-end properties; the signs are beyond offensive in quantity and quality: they might as well put a kapu sign in front lest ye fear to enter. "Don't do this, don't do that..." I understand the need to warn bulls in china shops but one glaring sign is more than enough. In this day and age, it is stunning to see any enterprise behaving as if they're doing YOU a favor by accepting your business. Drive north to Hawi and Kapa'au for far more beautiful art and far more reasonable prices offered and explained by actual human beings. read more
