Got away from the interstate and went into town for an ice cream break mid-road trip. The place we'd intended to visit was closed but we found the Happy Watermelon right across the street. The staff is really friendly and helpful, if you don't know what to order they will recommend something for you. They have a fruit bowl called the "happy watermelon" for $15. I saw them make it and it is a half of watermelon with bunch of stuff added to the middle of the watermelon. It looked yummy. When it comes to botana. This is a can't miss spot. Been coming here since it was just a small shop with a plywood counter and fruit in the back room. Glad to see they got a bigger building and they little drive through they have is cute. We go here quite often. Highly recommend the tosti-locos or even the hot Cheetos corn in a cup. Drive thru is a joke. Very disorganized when they take orders, rather then having every worker taking order they should have one person taking orders. Poor customer service, they don't even answer there phones to place orders. Plan to wait for more than 30 minutes to get your order. read more

Still a great place for snacks, but they are generally closed on Mondays anymore. In winter they close Monday and Tuesday. On Sunday they don't open till 12. But that is all I have to say in an update, they are still one of my favorites! read more
