I would not recommend Dupont Decks based on my experience…read more I invested nearly $55,000 in a custom deck, including paying thousands of dollars extra for the structural requirements necessary to support a future four-season porch. That future porch wasn't just a verbal discussion--it was specifically included in my contract and was a major reason I chose this company. Unfortunately, the workmanship has been disappointing from the beginning. The deck boards are uneven and improperly installed, allowing water to pool and collect against the house. There are noticeable gaps in trim and wrapping, the stairs have settled and developed a dip that has caused the railing to bow, and even the stair lights have begun pulling out because of the movement. Whenever I raised concerns, I was repeatedly told everything looked fine or that I needed to wait over a year for the deck to "settle." When the problems continued, the responsibility shifted to me instead of the workmanship. The most disappointing discovery came later. I recently learned that the deck did not pass the county requirements for supporting the future four-season porch that was included in my contract. I now have to spend thousands of additional dollars correcting work that should have been completed properly from the start. What frustrates me most isn't that problems occurred--construction projects can have issues. It's the unwillingness to accept responsibility and the repeated attempts to explain away legitimate concerns rather than deliver the quality and contractual obligations I paid for. For such a significant investment, I expected quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a company that would stand behind its work. Instead, I was left with ongoing workmanship issues, additional unexpected expenses, and a deck that has fallen well short of what was promised. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Dupont Decks.

I have been using this company for several years now for our holiday lighting. We have the most…read morebeautiful color lights on the second floor, icicles hanging from the front porch, and the green wrap around garland on our posts and around our front door. The lights on the garland are white. It just makes the street and lights it up. It's all on a timer from dusk til dawn. There was an issue with inexperienced trainees only once a few years back. In January we make arrangements to have it taken down and it is stored just for us. A great staff to help set it up with the guys doing the installing. The process can take between 4-5 hours. I like how they are local and can take care of things promptly. You sign a contract in Oct. or Nov.

Updated to add that when they came out to address other issue, they caused damage to our siding, in…read moretwo places. It is now February (this was done in October) and the siding is not only still broken, but the 2'x4' sample they cut out of those side of my house two weeks ago was not put back while waiting for replacement, and now we have snow and rain damage to the insulation. It seemed very overwhelming the amount of damage that was left in its wake, but Schaun walked us through every step of the way. From dealing with the insurance company to mitigation and finally rebuilding the ceiling, floors, walls and everything else that needed to be replaced, Schaun and his team were on top of it every step of the way. The whole damage (which trust me was a lot) took eight or nine weeks total to rehab and most of that time was spent waiting for the insurance company to approve the claim. Even before the claim went through, Allied was at our house with air scrubbers, giant fans, and dehumidifiers to prevent any mold buildup that may have taken place since the leak. They were also on top of the insurance company to get our claim approved, and once it finally was, his crew was here the next day to get started on the work and continued to be here each day until the job was done. Schaun was very professional and courteous and his crew did a great job getting our house back in order. I would recommend them to others and use Allied Property Services again if anything like this ever happened again.

They did a great job improving the overall look without the need for a full replacement, which saved me a significant amount of money. They were easy to work with, transparent about what could realistically be achieved with repairs, and honest about the trade-offs between repairing and replacing. I really appreciated that they didn't try to upsell unnecessary work. Overall, I'm very happy with the results and would absolutely use them again.
