We searched everywhere for new tile that would work and came up empty until we visited The Tile Shop. They were very knowledgeable and gave us several different options to fix it as well as a list of people who may be able to help us out and fix it. Went to Roseville location for grout supplies. When I went back to woodbury location to return a box of tile here's what I saw on my receipt. The girl who hung up on me wrote in my address as "123 horrible customer lane" are we serious people. the first hang up....I was shocked because I was still okay (I assumed it was a mistake)...I didn't get upset until the second hang up (and being told that I'm rude) and I had call back 3rd time and talk to a manager, Ben. Who told me later on the dock that the girl on phone has issues. Yeah ya think? I feel unsafe that this store has my information and I am also disappointed that after all this disrespect there was no attempt of service recovery. Proficient Construction owner/operator, Boe Narveson, did an amazing job planning and assisting me…read morewith my remodel.  Boe's construction team, Nicholas, Scott and Nick were very attentive to my many changes and requests.    Proficient Construction team did a significant amount of demolishing old ceramic tile, cutting, installing new ceramic tile in bathrooms, washroom, dining room and kitchen.  Alot of interior painting was necessary, as I have vaulted ceilings.   A beautiful back splash was installed, along with new kitchen sink, faucet, garbage disposal, granite countertops, new carpet, vanities, toilets and washroom cupboards.  My very favorite part of my entire remodel was the transformation from my 1996 brown brick, oak mantel, brass fireplace insert into painting bricks white, mantle and fireplace insert black and added ceramic tile hearth. The Proficient Construction team totally respected my townhouse by making sure at the end of each day they cleaned up nicely.  Proficient by far exceeded my expectations and executed my vision in an affordable and timely manner.

We discussed and agreed to the project schedule and expectations. What transpired was a serious lack of transparency and management. We were taken advantage of including paying for work that was never done and were told it was, hurried work that required rework multiple times, schedule slippage by multiple weeks causing us to incur additional costs and rescheduling subsequent contractors. John discussed making things right, however we were well past the point of allowing for this to continue and paid for a different contractor to finish the remaining rework. Terrible service and no communication! It took 2 1/2 months to get carpet installed…read more We chose floor center due to the fact that they had the carpet in stock that we wanted. When we purchased our home we had to get the carpet replaced before we could move in to the upper level, we were told that since the carpet was in stock that they could install the same week. So we paid for the carpet and waited. And waited. And waited. For nearly 3 weeks we slept on couches in our living room. We paid for removal of the carpet but they left the staples in the floor and carpet around the radiators. When asked if that was standard procedure they said that sometimes if there are too many staples they leave them in but stated "you will barely even feel them through the carpet pad" For six thousand dollars i would expect no not feel any staples. The list goes on and on the issues we had. Their competition up the street said that absolutely the removal should have included pull the staples. Once they received our money there was no communication. Numerous times I asked for a follow up call which never happened. Between my wife and I, we ended up having to take 7 days off of work to get carpet installed. On multiple occasions the installers showed up without any knowledge of where the carpet was being installed (upstairs) so were unable to install due to the fact that they could not get the carpet up the stairs by themselves. Spend your money elsewhere, this place is a joke. If you value your time (and vacation hours) stay clear of the Floor Center.
