I ordered the Texan taco, two of them and the Carnitas taco and I thought I had a full-blown meal. The tacos are so fitting and so tasty but even though I was completely full, I wanted to go back for more and they paired so well with the beer flight that I had. this place was a little out-of-the-way for me but I know that if I'm ever in that area I would definitely come looking for them.

Who doesn't like a good French fries?…read more As the name suggested, they do fries. With various toppings such as mojito (garlic, olive oil, cilantro and lime), bacon, pulled pork, aioli, taco (ground beef, chipotle mayo and cheese), disco (mozz and gravy)... you get the idea. There are about 6-8 varieties, which changes once in a while. I was undecided between the poutine and the mojito, and when I asked the owner, Manny, he was kind enough to do a split for me, so I get to try both. The fries are good, with a good crunchiness on the outside, and the inside isn't mushy. Mojito is certainly interesting with good acidity, poutine is okay, I like my curd squeakier. I was glad I got a half-and-half because if I were to eat the whole thing of one flavor, it would be too salty or too acidic. If I had some food, or beer to go with it it would be perfect, but then they don't sell beer at Young Circle.

I ordered the lemon zest hummus with pita, as well as a mixed berry lemonade, and two dessert empanadas. The hummus was definitely one of the best I've ever had. The citrus kick from the lemon kept it light, and it paired perfectly with the warm pita. The leftovers didn't even last a full day - my family ate the rest with an herb focaccia later on! It was really hot out, so the lemonade was super refreshing. I loved the blend of berries and that it wasn't two sweet. Both dessert empanadas were a hit too. I tried the pineapple and cheese as well as the caramel apple. They were crisp on the outside with tons of filling inside and absolutely delicious. The caramel apple was my favorite! Service was a little bit slower than I'm used to with a food truck, but everyone was very nice and the food came out perfectly so I'm not too bothered by it. They had a bunch more on their menu that I'd definitely want to try sometime!

I LOVE dumplings and was really stoked to have all my dumpling needs met in one place. My friend and I shared the Seoul Train (pork, cilantro, ginger) and Shanghai Surprise (butternut squash, shitake mushrooms, ginger) dumplings. The dumplings came with our choice of one of several sauces. We decided to go for the soy-sesame sauce based on the recommendation of the proprietor. Each of our orders came with five dumplings as well as some wonton crisps. Overall, the flavors were good, and the dumplings were fresh. Both of the filling options had nice bursts of savory ingredients. The accompanying wonton crisps were crisp and seemed homemade. Luckily, we had extra sauce to dunk them in, as they were sort of uninteresting on their own. The only real negative my friend and I discussed was that $7 seemed a bit expensive for five dumplings. They had a small-to-medium amount of filling, and we were both left feeling hungry after our lunch. I think maybe a few more dumplings with the order would have helped us feel like we were getting a better value for our meal.

I got the around the world sampler. The Around the World Sampler were 7 dumplings for 10 dollars, little pricey for dumplings. It contained a dumpling from each of their selection. I do not recall all their names, but I know there was a dumpling that contained curry. That one was my favorite dumpling out of the sampler. Delicious, packed with flavor, leaving you wanting more. The other dumplings were tasty as well. The cheeseburger dumpling was a little interesting. Normally when I eat dumplings I do not think of tasting cheese burgers, but it definitely had the taste. All dumplings were nice and crispy on the outside, warm and moist in the center. I believe that all the dumplings that they serve is fried. The gentlemen who took my order was friendly. Overall, dumplings were tasty, portion size is a little small for price. I would like it if food trucks gave a smaller portions for lower price during food truck gatherings. That way customers would be able to have more samples instead of choosing one meal.

Plenty of free parking was offered at City Hall Parking Garage. It seems like every city is having one of these popular food truck events. Pompano was also holding one across the street from their city hall tonight. This event however had some of my favorite trucks. I saw World famous, Fat Boyz, and Mod Pizza. All of those trucks have restaurants. Also present was Melted Madness, Opita, Jerk It, That Vegan Truck, and Kona Ice. Cosmo the largest double deck ice cream nitrogen truck was also attending. I even saw a coffee truck. There were two tents selling moderately priced beer, wine, and cocktails. The event had some really nice tables set up to eat at which is almost unheard of at these events. Usually you either have to stand up or bring your own chair. Entertainment was provided by dueling pianos. They were actually quite entertaining and they took requests from the crowd. They provided a variety of easy listening songs including songs by Elton John, Stevie Nicks, and Queen. This is a very nice family an dog friendly event.
