My boyfriend and I split the Carolina BBQ sandwich, tostones & a bottle of water. Our friends had various other dishes (I think everyone had pork) and we have all been EXTREMELY ILL. I confirmed with everyone who ate there that they were also sick, went through everything it could have been, etc. I called the health dept. and told them about this, however, hesitated about posting on Yelp - hey, its a food truck, in Miami, and serving pork. What was I really expecting? However, after one of our friends called the owner to let him know that 5 patrons were ill from eating his food, he became aggressive and defensive. He never once apologized, never offered any explanation and started screaming at her saying people were writing bad reviews online and costing him contracts. She had not posted a review at that point and just wanted some information from him. So, now I have no qualms talking about what AWFUL FOOD and service this food truck provided. I will NEVER EAT here again, or at the related restaurant. Incubation time before symptoms showed up for me was about 24 hours, I've had fever, chills, aches, stiff neck and all the horrible things that come along with serious food poisoning (going on 3 days now). Note - I saw another poster from Ft. Lauderdale shared a similar story about her friends who ate the same night and also got sick. We are not the same friend group but sounds like there was something off that night.

The earlier you get there the less crowd you face at some of the more popular food trucks. There was also a free movie planned (Despicable Me, I believe) and music playing. People were out with their chairs and blankets. Families, couples, groups of friends...it was a great community and food event! Thanks to Commissioner Lisa Davis and all the Miami Garden officials and services that made this event happen. I can't wait for the next one!!!
