During my most recent visit, I went in to purchase cut-up collard greens. What I found on the shelf were outdated (according to label posted) greens with a green liquid seeping from the packaging a clear sign they were spoiled. When I politely requested a fresh bunch to be cut, the staff member was not only unhelpful but also rude and dismissive. This experience was incredibly frustrating and disheartening. I will not be returning. The community deserves better.

There was only one person running the market and he was very pleasant. As he was giving me tips to make the pholourie, he thought I was from Trinidad because of the way I spoke. I get that from people sometimes, but when I speak to Caribbean people, the island accent does come out.
