The manager, Ben Huffman, is a good guy. Very helpful and responsive whenever I have questions or need to update my membership. It is a quiet and low-key club. We are retired and we can come when we want. As long as we avoid the rush hour times(generally weekdays in the early morning or after work), it is not crowded and we don't wait for equipment. It is small, but the machines offer everything we need for our weight training, and they have treadmills, bikes, and ellipticals for aerobics. There are now two personal trainers, I believe, plus Ben. There is a tanning booth which I've never utilized. My only desire would be for this location to offer exercise classes of some sort. I think my wife and I might like that.

We walked over to take a look and happened to chat with one of the owners. I returned the next day (today) and my timing was impeccable as I met the other owner, Chelsi. I then decided to do a "drop in" workout for just $10.60. I used the stair climber, free weights, benches, and bike and got my sweat on and my energy out. You'd be surprising how stressful a pickleball tournament can be as a parent ;) There were a few other folks working out while I was there, but the facility is so large, I felt like I had it all to myself! This is such a great concept... I wish I had one closer to home. I would absolutely be a member if I were closer. It's super affordable, has top of the line equipment, and you can come and go as you please... 24 hours a day! The website says that the mission at Elite Fitness is "to empower individuals of all fitness levels to achieve their health and wellness goals by providing 24-hour access to a safe, supportive, and results-driven environment. The front desk staff were very nice, but the clientele felt like the inmates at Leavenworth prison. Particularly one short, overly tattooed, white runt with spiky hair, about 40, wearing wireless earbuds so he can't hear all the negative things people are saying about him, who sits on machines for 20 minutes texting and not allowing anybody else to use them. Some guy finally said something to him and he acted like he was being the jerk. What a tiny, sad life he must have, always trying to prove he's "tough" like a child. Probably got bullied in elementary school and has been taking it out on the world ever since. Then the guy tried to use the other lap pull down machine, and the second guy using that one gave him an attitude about working in on it too! Even though he asked him in a very friendly way. It suddenly dawned on me that the regular members at this gym are purposely harassing new people because the gym is probably overcrowded and they want to intimidate people so they won't come back. This should be a great concern to the manager because he's going to lose a lot of business running a gym full of jerks. I would suggest hiring somebody that doesn't use the gym to pose as a new member and try to work in with some of the muscleheads in there to see if this is a strategy of theirs. When I was leaving, I saw the guy who got into an argument with him complain to the front desk, but they didn't even offer to take a report or show any interest. If that was my gym and there were clowns with short man's complex treating people like that, I would cancel their membership.

Instead of offering support, they seem more interested in policing how you train -- I was actually told not to do certain workouts because it's distracting. Using the deadlift platform to deadlift, how dare I The owners come across as rude, disconnected, and unwilling to listen to member feedback. There's a real lack of professionalism and basic customer service here. It feels like they're more concerned with control than creating a welcoming or motivating environment. There are plenty of other gyms in the area with better equipment, better attitudes, and far better respect for their members. Do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere that values your goals and respects your time.
