I also had him frame out and finish an attic entryway in the master bedroom that had popcorn and remove an old cable jack and phone outlet on the wall, patching those areas with drywall. I found his name mentioned on a Nextdoor post from a neighbor down the street from me. After accepting his bid, he was quick to call me to set up a time to sign the contract and to look over the job site. He was able to put me on the schedule within two days of my agreeing to hire him. He worked consecutively for three days. He completed the job on a Wednesday evening around 8:30pm. It was late and dark in the rooms, and I did a quick assessment with the flashlight on my phone. I pointed out a couple areas where I could still see the seams in the drywall, and he reassured me those wouldn't be noticeable once everything had dried. I paid him the remainder of the money and we parted ways. Next day afternoon, I was able to see the finished work in daylight with a better light source, and was not pleased with the work done. I was able to see almost all of the drywall seams. The corners in the attic entryway were not clean and smooth, and there were random marks and lines in the textured ceiling. Texturing was not done evenly. The texture was so thin in some areas that I could see the sheetrock and heavy in other spots where it was dripping down more than a ¼" and casting shadows. Texturing was also done with the attic door sitting in place. The door was sealed to the attic entry where heavy texture dried. I had rip that apart to push the attic door open. The corners in the living room area were not completely filled in nor smooth looking. I was very disappointed that someone who had 13 years experience would leave me with this quality. After a couple days of phone tag, we talked on Saturday. It was a heated conversation on both ends, but we resolved he would come back on Monday to fix any issues. However, during that conversation, he openly admitted to: 1. Rushing the job because it was late, he was tired and wanted to go home and go to bed. He finished on Wednesday, yet he gave himself until Friday in the contract to complete the job. 2. Having inadequate lighting to do the job. Even though the photos that he took of his completed work looked sufficient, after seeing the photos that i had taken during the daylight and with a better light source, showing my dissatisfaction, he realized that his work was not great and blamed that on not having enough light. He was aware that neither bedroom had any lighting going into the job, yet he chose to finish the work at 8:30pm with no daylight and only one light in the room. 3. Not having the correct nozzle for his texturing machine. A better nozzle was left on another jobsite, yet he still decided to use one that he had less control of to get the job done faster. He did use the use the word "nit-picky" when I was voicing my dissatisfaction. I feel that I have a right to be nit-picky about a job in which I'm spending a large chunk of money, putting my trust in him to do good work and wanting clean looking ceilings that I will be living with for the next 5-10+ years. Bobby came back on Monday. He couldn't give me a timeframe of when he would arrive and start work because it depended on how early his guys would get out of bed and get to the job site. In the end, the work looked much better. The seams in the second bedroom were still slightly noticeable, but I made the decision to call the job complete with the idea that adding primer and paint would hide it. Unfortunately, I can still see them after painting. I can say that I will not call him again nor recommend him to a friend.

He tries to be transparent and clear about design changes that are necessary due to realities of construction and his team definitely went above and beyond to try and make things work exactly like we wanted. We hired Bobby and his team to install a new catio/dog run for us. While I have experience building cat furniture, overhead storage in my garage, etc, and have no fear of any DIY work, this was to be installed on the front of my house and I wanted to make sure it was professionally made and attractive. I was impressed by how into the details Bobby was during the initial design/estimate process. He outlined the exact materials he'd use, which gave me confidence that he understood the full scope of what we were looking for. I created design pictures to make it clearer what we had in mind. He had me do the leg work of finding the exact materials I had in mind for the wire mesh & lattice sections, as well as purchase the door, dog door, and door hardware to ensure they used exactly what we wanted. The entire project included: 1) Adding a new exterior door at the end of a hallway to lead into the catio (this previously was a full wall with no door). 2) Building the catio/dog run structure itself. 3) Building a door frame and hanging a door (originally we wanted him to build the door too, but due to the keycode lock we wanted he decided mid-project that we would be better off buying a door for them to install instead) for leading from the catio/dog run into the yard. 4) Adding a roof to the top of the catio/dog run to allow the pets to enjoy the outside even when it's raining. 5) Covering the outside & uncovered sections of the structure with a combination of lattice (to obscure neighbors' view of any potential dog/cat poop) and wire mesh (for better view of the nearby bird feeders for the cats) and to prevent any of the pets escape. 6) (Contracted separately by us with a landscaper, since Bobby doesn't do this himself) - Prepare/level the ground and install artificial turf for the flooring. We had this done in two parts, the ground was prepped before Bobby started, and the turf was installed once the crew was done with the worst of the stomping around for building the structure so they didn't mess up the brand new turf. This was the first time I had hired a contractor for a project with this many parts to it, so it was a bit of a learning process of how things go. Here are some of our learnings I'll share to make things easier on both sides: 1) Realize that the estimate Bobby gives at the start will NOT be the final price. We had a bit of a surprise at the end when the total project cost rose about 5K more than the estimate. Some of these were unavoidable surprises, like realizing our wall framing was 2x6, not 2x4, which meant the door we had purchased needed to be rehung on an appropriately sized frame. Others were due to the fact that Bobby is a general contractor, not a specialist, and can't perfectly predict how much work a complicated, novel project will take. He has a business to run and needs to pay his crew fairly for their time, so taking extra layers of paint to finish a wall, needing to demo more than expected due to the intricacies of your siding, etc, will be considered changes on his side from the original estimate that you'll have to square up at the end. 2) Over explain expectations. Bobby and his team are great at making things work and problem solving anything they're aware of, but they're looking at things from a builder perspective. They know how to make things easier to build, but might not realize what consequences some of those design decisions have. In our case, we didn't explicitly mention that the catio needed to be completely enclosed, and Bobby didn't know that cats could climb up to the top of an enclosure. So when we pointed out mid project "Hey, how are you closing that gap between the roof section and the wall of the house?" it took some quick thinking on Bobby's part to resolve it. He ended up closing the gap with wire mesh which accomplished the job. 3) Make sure you understand the full design that Bobby is proposing. I was a little surprised when one of the support posts was in front of our bathroom window. It's only a single post, so it doesn't obstruct the view much, but if I were to go back in time to the start of the project I would have pointed out this in my original expectations better so Bobby could adjust the design accordingly. All told, the finished project is fantastic and solidly built! There are some very minor aesthetic flaws (they used too long of nails on the roof, so they're visible on the underside, and the paint he told me to pick up for finishing up the hall isn't a perfect match), and the catio door is having some minor alignment issues now that will be easily rectified, but overall I'm thrilled with the results! For context: we used All in the Family Services in October 2022. They were friendly and we were…read morequoted about where other people were quoting us. I believe they have a few photos up of our fencing as well. I reached out to Dave to fix some issues I've noticed for months via Houzz where we originally contracted them (said I would need an estimate and pay), and haven't heard back. Ended up finding a phone number off of an old quote and have been in contact with them for almost 2 months with very slow replies, having to send follow ups, now trying to figure out a repair. Issues include: tension cable fencing has now become loose, one cable even completely came out of the fencing, the wooden beams they used are SPLITTING where the cables are connecting because they were over-tightened. Multiple contractors have come out to give me quotes to fix this and they all said I need new cable and beams (upwards towards $600) or a complete new fence unless I want them to completely split or crack further over the next year or so. It has been 2.5 years... and now I'm looking into ways to fix a fence I spent $7k on (total project including the deck was $26k). There's just no way you should be spending that kind of money just to have to fix it in 2 years. Over multiple emails they were stating they'd come out and fix it for $250, and that they can't verify if it was normal wear and tear or an animal that caused it (sagging tension cables are at the top.. no animal caused that). After another week or two they took back that offer and said they'd give me a $250 refund but I'd have to agree to "release them from any claim of fence repair and understand that further work required to said fence is normal maintenance". I denied it. Some other issues I put aside because I just wanted the project done: had to have them come back out to secure my electrical box that was left hanging off, I had to pay extra for a gate latch because they were trying to drill a hole for it but I knew the gate would settle and no longer align with it in the future but kept it there, and I had to reinforce some of the tension cables because they could be moved up and down about 1 inch in each direction. Upon further conversation with my latest contractor, most companies don't do tension cable through wooden posts because they know with their experience that they only last a few years. Tension cables should apparently go through metal posts to keep their integrity. I wish I had known, or used a company with enough experience to know that. It seems All in the Family Services can do projects you request them of, but be sure to do your own research and understand what will last and what won't because they sure don't. My deck they did is great, but I'm now looking at redoing my entire fence to because this one won't last much longer. Look elsewhere for your projects and don't go with this company just because they are slightly more affordable.. you'll be paying for it in the future :/ Photos attached.

Sinks, old carpet, toilets, couches, construction debris, work orders and invoices with their clients personal information as well as internal accounts receivable reports (also with personal client information), and bank teller receipts were found in this debris. We contacted Noah Mrowczynski on multiple occasions to clean up this mess without involving the police or other authorities. He failed to clean up the entire mess, only agreeing to remove one truck load, when it's obvious there have been multiple trips made out to our property by his company. He stated to us multiple times that this is not his problem and blaming it on subcontractors. Hard to believe sub contractors would have your personal business records. He let us know he was doing us a favor by even sending out one of his trucks to remove his mess. I never asked for him to trespass on my land and to perform illegal activities in the first place. We have filed reports with Clackamas County Sheriffs, DEQ, and Oregon Contractors Construction Board. I can only hope this helps deter him from continuing his illegal activity, dumping on anyone else's land, trespassing and violating his customers rights. Please be wary of this company and his junk removal company operating under Cascade Junk Removal.
