I contacted him about building a pole barn style garage for me. He began working on it in Oct. of…read more2023, it was completed Feb. of 2024. It was a 30' x 40' x 12', with 2 10' x 10' garage doors and 1 man door, and 2 windows. Also supposed to have 4" concrete slab. We discussed location of the doors and how to have it laid out. I wanted to have 3' from the corner, then the first garage door. Then have a 3' space in between the next garage door. Leaving the final space to be about 14', then have the man door centered in between that area left over, for a little more room in the area. We also discussed having an area with a 6" slab so I could put a car lift in that area. Slow start due to weather, no big deal. Posts go up, here is the first issue. He forgot we discussed 3' from the corner with a 3' space in between the doors. Now I have a 5' space from corner with 5' in between. Which makes my area only 10' now. Ruined my whole plan for the inside. Whatever we'll continue so I can get this done. Suppose to trench from building to house and building to pole for power. Issues with that as well. From building to house, it was supposed to go from closest corner of building to closest corner of house. It ended up going from building corner to the furthest corner of house costing me more in material from that as well. Then the trench from building to pole was supposed to be 30" deep. There were spots in it that wasn't even 20" deep. Now I had to hand dig those and fix them my self after paying extra and paying for the trencher rental for them to do this. On to the concrete floor, it was a 4" slab with 1 garage bay supposed to be a 6" slab. He forgot about the 6" slab part after I already called and paid for more concrete to be delivered. He was going to get there before the concrete guys got there to correct this issue. Joke was on me; he didn't get there until after and they had already started pouring concrete. So now I have no 6" slab anywhere. They also put aprons in front of the garage doors. They weren't the same height of each other. Noticeably different heights. He said the concrete guys did this for a reason, he couldn't remember what they told him. After the concrete dries, every time it rains to has puddles everywhere. I asked him about it, his reply was once the building is done, it won't get water in it. GREAT! Now on to do the metal windows and door. Door seems decent, windows were level and looked decent. Starts to put metal on, doesn't put a house wrap on it. Told me because we didn't discuss it, he didn't think I wanted it. He knew I planned on using it as a garage, with a concrete floor, why wouldn't I want that. By the time I come home from work, he is already one side and a half done with no wrap. I check out the first window he started putting metal on by and I notice it has a crack in the glass behind the sticker on it. I bring it to his attention. He gets defensive over it; acts like I must have broken it or something. Told me he installed that window himself and he knows it wasn't broken after he installed it. I told him you're right I broke it personally since I was having the building built. Then he changed it to it must have been broken when they delivered it. He didn't do anything about it, continued installing the metal. He ran out of the rodent block piece of metal on the bottom and never installed it. So now I have a broke window installed with all the metal around it. He then told me they sell a repair kit I could buy and install myself to correct this issue. He did put insulated bubble wrap on the roof area after I brought it up about the walls having nothing on them. So now when it rains both windows leak so now, I have water pooling in the building that would be dry so I wouldn't have to worry about the puddles in the building. I get the garage doors installed. Now every time it rains, I get water in the building from the windows, both garage doors have water come in by them from the flashing around the doors. Plus, the concrete is unlevel so the doors can't sit flush to the concrete. If I leave anything on the ground and move it after it rains, it's wet underneath. He didn't put any plastic under the concrete to help with moisture. Plus, there's cracks all over the concrete now. It's been something dealing with this. I've given up trying to get anything done with him. I wouldn't use him to build a chicken coup for me. It's been one of the worst decisions I've made in a long while. Sorry for this being so long, it's just been a lot to deal with.

Absolutely terrible experience working with Phillip. We hired him & his son to dry & restore our…read morekitchen & crawlspace after a leak. After signing paperwork, him & his son were never out to our property again, only his workers. After they had completed their work on the crawlspace, I knew something was not right. The mold they had treated was still present, but you could see lines where it had been sprayed, the vapor barrier did not go out to the edge of the ground & had multiple gaps & cuts, leaving exposed dirt. They also put the vapor barrier over garbage & clothing. After telling Phillip that I was concerned there was still mold he said it was just "staining". Got another company out to give a second opinion. They told me what I already knew & also provided photos of full mushrooms that are growing off of the subfloor. When I called Phillip to discuss these concerns, he pushed back on every single issue & tired to explain away every concern. When I continued to press that this was not quality work, he asserted that I was "supposed to be a Christian" and he's stated "I've dealt with people like you before". Despite being a Christian, I do not appreciate being taken advantage of. Also of note, he billed my insurance for expenses I know he did not provided. He also keeps bring up payment, after being told the full estimate has been paid out by insurance, multiple times. Work aside, he did a awful job communicating with my insurance. Even after being asked to provided photos in 3 different emails, he did not & I ended up having to submit them myself. He then sent an unprofessional email "apologizing for offending" my insurance adjuster when she continued to ask him for documentation. At this point it is a complete loss for us. Insurance has already paid out the $7000 claim & I will need to pay for it to be fully redone out of pocket. Would not recommend this company to anyone.
